Agreed to an extent. Large age gaps are looked down upon for many good reasons. Just because you're intellectually developed and think you're mature enough to handle a 24 year old when you're 17 doesn't mean you are. It really depends on what ages the two people in the relationship are.

Vixx N said on a tv show that the director from sassy go go told him it was his fault that he was dark skinned and could get him white not even with effects, and I see a lot of Korean fans/ppl doing the same to "their" idols, whose they are fan, I actuallyike asians darker skinned, like seo Inguk, seventeen Kim mingyu, actor gong yoo, I find they very attractive, so... I would like to know what koreans think about that "whiteness culture" and sorry for my bad english >.

most of the people in korea have a little darker skin. Kpop idols and also korean girls use make up to make their skin look lighter. In korea just like in some other asian countries a light clear skin is being considerd as really pretty. I would say its some kind of south east asian beauty standard.
I think it has to do with this historical long standing prejudice connotation that if you have darker skin then you are poor because you work in the fields and if you have lighter skin then you are royalty as you are not exposed to the sun as much.

I'd like to see a video looking at the opinions of the pale vs tan/dark skin beauty standard, not just regarding black/white foreigners but also non-Korean asian foreigners and koreans. No other channel has really talked about it, though some have talked about body types. I don't feel this way, though I've heard around that being a foreigner that isn't Asian (black, white) makes you more acceptable to be exempt from the tan vs light skin beauty standard because you are a foreigner and it's "to be expected", but if you're a tan skinned Asian foreigner (ex. indonesian, filipino, indian) then you aren't desirable. It hasn't been discussed much but I'd like it to be!

About the loneliness part I'm still single but I made great friends and went on some dates that also went well, but because of the long distance I decided not to get into a relationship. I also got compliments left and right, I kinda felt prettier there than here haha😂 so yeah it was a great experience
It's a little weird that there's much more age hierarchy in Korea than America and I've seen American adults do really youthful things unlike Asian adults but Americans seem less tolerant of age difference than Koreans. Canadians and Australians don't really care though according to those girls. I'm glad that Koreans are getting more interested in noona-dongsaeng relationships b/c I wouldn't have to feel so pedo about crushing on someone who could be a little brother. I think being interested in an older partner when you're young and being interested in a younger partner when you get older makes sense.

Well, I'm 18 so I can't (and wouldn't) date guys younger then me. Right now, my preference would be 6-7 years older, if not around 10 years. Although lets say, when I'm older, 26 or so, I'll date someone 5 years younger or so. (I still would like a guy older than me).

I actually like guys "a lot" older than me by about 4-5 years usually and my limit would be 10 years. Where as I'd only date a guy 2 years younger than me. But most of my friends (here in America) cannot be with a guy more that 2 years older than them / and cannot date a guy younger than them lmao. It seems similar all around the world.

Tbh, despite acceptable cultured dating, like where men would date younger women, it always comes down to what an individual's preference is. I know a korean man who is 25 and he told me that he prefers younger women that can be 18+. Others can prefer women the same age or older. Or also at least 2 years younger. It all depends! Plus, a guy can meet a women younger than he is and if he likes her, he can date her even if he preferred older women in the past. This video was fun to watch :) x sorry this was so long

If you live in America, the rule is that you can be in a relationship with someone up to four years older than you if you are under 18. So 17 year olds can only date up to 21 y/o. The youngest you could possibly be would be 14 dating an 18 y/o. However, depending on which state you are from, the age of consent differs. In my state, the age of consent is 16 y/o. Therefore, if I was 14 with an 18 y/o boyfriend, that would be okay legally, as long as I'm not having sex with him. If I was 16 with a 20 y/o bf, I would legally be allowed to date, and have sex with him.

I think it generally will depend on the person, usually people don't care but I do notice here in the states or at least in my state, sometimes people do think it's weird for an older woman to date a younger guy. I've had friends who have said that it's weird for them to see or find out ( because you can't always tell a person's age just by looking at them). Personally my age preference is 6-8 years older and 2-3 years younger that's my numberline. I'm 24 and I have met some 21-22 year old men that show themselves to be pretty mature for their age, I've also met 35 year old men who behave like the stereotype of a 19 yr old boy. So it really depends on the individual. Also since I have a younger sibling it could be weird dating someone who is the same age as them so that's why I wouldn't go more than 3 years younger.
