    Communication is key with mixed culture relationships. I know when I had mine we would talk every frustration out so we'd understand. 9/10 times it was a culture difference and we finally developed the relationship into our own combined cultures. 😊

    Met my bf on a language exchange app as well. The hardest part has been finding middle ground on cultural differences and occasional language miscommunication. The best part is literally everything else. He loves me in such a gentle and kind way and he has become my best friend. He is wonderful!

    These were some very nice interviews that you did. The couples were very thoughtful in their answers and their answers are useful for any relationship, between anyone.

    Communication, communication, communication!!! Just talking with each other... yeah some of it is explaining why, but in the end communication is key to any relationship. I feel that it's the base of the relationship, if you can't talk to each other, then perhaps it's life giving you something to learn from and apply to your next life experience. And I might have gotten a bit too deep there, sorry all!! 🙏🙏🙏 Still... really enjoyed the video!!! Keep it up my sweet!! Make us think about things, not just assume! Communication!!! ✊👍😁🥰😘❤

    Communication, Communication, Communication is the key to EVERY relationship, not just international couples. I think with international couples you just have to work a little bit harder at it because of the language barrier. If love finds you outside of your race or culture, go for it! Just remember to focus on communication and understand,it will get you through the toughest of times.

    In my opinion communication and willing to learn each other’s culture are keys to international relationship. My niece is married to a Korean and very happy. She was in Korea teaching English when they met. I never asked her how they overcome their cultural differences and it does not matter since happily married. Now when I think about it our cultures have some similarities. My niece was born in Bulgaria but grew up in US.

    Awww!!! 😍😍😍 I love the second couple since I'm also spaniard as Laura!! I can relate a lot to the hugging thing!! Here is usual to hug your friends, specially if you make friends online and then you meet them for the first time!!! Also is kind of reasonable to trust in your partner, because if you don't trust him, what's the point of being with him/ her? 🤔
    Also I forget! The boy always paying at dates is a cultural shock here in Spain too. I know that koreans guys do it because I learnt because I'm very interested in Korean culture but here in Spain, I will dare to say that we spaniard women are proud to pay for our things, even in dates, we usually split the bill or one time the guy pay, next time the girl does.

    • @yj8641
      @yj8641 Рік тому +3

      Many Korean girls split the bill or pay the whole bill if she doesn't like the guy on the first date. If she likes the guy, She may let him pay on the first date, and then say “I will pay our next time” so she can make the reason to set the second date 😅
      From the second date, the guy may pay more or they may split bills. It's unusual if the guy pays all the time, and the girl doesn't pay at all. Couples also give presents to each other a lot. Many Korean guys tend to prepare presents or exciting dates to please her.
      If the guy do not pay the first date, he may not be a good guy.

      There is nothing to be proud of. If the woman pays half, then what does the man do?! The woman does many things that the man doesn't do, many men don not even contribute in many things. It is a trick so that the woman contributes more than she already contributes and selling it to women like "independence". And many women prefer that the man pays only because it is the only way for the woman to be sure that he is interested in her and in a relationship and not just to spend time or use her for fcking. The man still fooling the women

    As European I can relate to second couple - Laura. We European like to hug when we meet someone, we give also kisses on cheeks when we meet some dear friends or family. ..so is very difrent if you only bow or give hand as boyfriend. And yes we don't need so much gifts and support. We are proud if we have good job and spend money ourselves. I have seen in some videos work culture and spending money In Korea and is really insane. To us is more important free time and quality life with partner, so please don't buy us. I also think that communication is the best thing for mixed cultures.

    I honestly believe you have to have things in common and good communication. Yes the culture is different from the American. If you have something in common and willing to learn each others culture, it can work. It isn't always the same. You learn from each other.

    It is all about communication, compromise and know what you are worth too. If the culture, is misogynistic you become accustomed and accept the mistreatment. But if you're raised knowing your worth, as a female, you don't put up with such things. For me personally and from experience (asian female) i never found asain guys, specially chinese men from the mainland, to my liking. I've been always been attracted to Caucasian men and others just not asain. Don't get me wrong they are some cuties, but to settle down with them no thank you. It's the "always me first mentality". Also being inconsiderate is a big turn off. From my experience, being considerate, has always been lacking in the asian culture. I'm sure there's some asian men that are not misogynistic and selfish I just haven't found one yet.

    If you do not trust the person you are with then why be with that person? trust, respect, communication are the foundation to a good relationship. It does not matter if same culture or not. If you don't have a good foundation, the structure falls apart.

    I’ve noticed that Korean men and foreign women couples tend to last longer than Korean-Korean couples. It is very rare to ever hear about breakups or divorces between Korean man and foreign women couples. Foreign women find Korean men to be more attractive than men from their countries and feel more secure. As today Korean men are viewed to be the most desirable from women all over the world as they have more superior qualities than other men, foreign women who are with a Korean man are the happiest.
