Hey Yall! Today's video is all about OLAPLEX! I have done a ton on research on this line and finally decided to make the investment. HOWEVER, if you have curly hair, especially 4C hair, this investment is two folds. You MUST invest in the product AND in the ROUTINE. My wash day was twice as long using OLAPLEX 0, OLAPLEX 3, OLAPLEX 4, and OLAPLEX 5. I am so happy with the results and to be quite honest, I don't think I will be using any other line for the next 6 months. If you get OLAPLEX, I highly recommend getting the entire line. But if you want to just get the at home treatment, I recommend getting both Olaplex 0 and 3. Lastly, everyone should do their own research on the product to see if its a good fit for you!

I was so surprised by the way the shampoo lathered when I bought it! I used a dime size amount and the lather was insane, covered my whole head! And the conditioner practically melted my tangles away and I didn’t even use much.

The reason it’s a bottle application, is because it’s not meant to be airborne, as someone else commented. But since everybody wanna ignore that oh well 😭😭 but maybe wearing a mask while doing it would help you not cough your lungs out? Idk but hey! Good video too xoxo
LOL! Exactly! You saw me coughing! But exactly. I read that on a forum. Interestingly enough, there are no warning labels, which is bad, if indeed it is not meant to be airborne. I did not know that prior to filming this video, but it still did not prevent me from doing it again LOL. Next time I (think) I will try the applicator, but I don’t see that working out in my favor as much. I see myself over using product that way. 🥴🥴🥴 do you use Olaplex?
@@AnnaBelise No disrespect intended here Sis, but come on now? There’s no warning label to prevent you from doing it so that means it’s cool to use a CHEMICAL in an AEROSOL SPRAY BOTTLE that is not intended to be AIRBORNE??? That twingy cough you got in your lungs, is probably your body’s own warning label to YOU indicating that something just isn’t right though. Please don’t ignore your bodies reaction to that. You only get one set of lungs.
I know we are willing to do whatever it takes for our hair. But that hair will grow back if the product doesn’t work out. Your lungs on the other hand, aren’t designed in a... cut the damage off and let it grow back kind of way. Is savings a few dollars on a hair product really worth risking your lungs for? How many people are going to watch your video and do exactly the same thing that you are doing? SMH This is my 1st time seeing any of your videos, and you seem to be a very intelligent and responsible UA-camr. I just honestly think you can do a little better than “it didn’t say I can’t on the warning label”. You really don’t come across as one of “those” you tubers so far. If I recall correctly there was a young lady who claimed that the Industrial strength spray glue she used “didn’t say not for use on hair” either?
You have a really good video here, and I’m looking forward to seeing more of your videos. I I’ve used oloplex off and on for a couple of years now (just not the new prediluted mix). I’m not sure how much of the zero you are supposed to use. But when I follow the directions I have always had more than enough for the application. For how much hair damage or loss the product saves my hair (especially when I use color). I just have suck it up and pay for more when I run out. Please careful Sis. You can also consider placing a bowl in your sink directly under you while you saturate your hair with it in a applicator bottle. This way you can just reuse the extra run off, to make sure its enough to saturate your entire head. Or at the least if a spray bottle is best. Please consider one that is not aerosol. Lol

Also, you are correct, I am trying to be a responsible UA-camr this is why I said it was "my" routine and once becoming aware of this, I put in my description box to use your own discretion. I am going through a hair journey and am in no way an expert (this is like my first time ever trying to take care of my hair lol). I am simply documenting what I am doing. Everyone should use their own discretion, but I will make sure to clarify that in future videos, because, as you mentioned, other people will be watching (I just didn't anticipate this video reaching so many people this quickly) . I got a chance to check out a few of your videos yesterday, and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the space that you are creating here. I especially love the authenticity and the hair rants, I can soooo relate. I feel like I’m on damn hair care hamster wheel. Wearing protective styles to regrow my hair from the damage of the last protective style, and these failed twist outs is driving me CA-RAZY over and over again LOL. I’m definitely a new sub.
Mani in the Middle yes ma’am I use olaplex, as a stylist and consumer. Truly a game changer for color, maintenance, and as haircare. Let’s me take my sister from type 3 hair alll the way icy white and still bounce. I find curl clients love the shampoo they obsessed !

Thank you! I got the idea from another youtube video. It really helped a lot because number 0 is suppose to give you at least 4 uses (according to Olaplex) but I honestly just do not see how that is feasible with my hair. After filming, I did see that on a forum that it is not recommended to do this. edit: OLAPLEX has said not todo this. I still do but I wear two masks over my face.
You should try the leave in and the oil. I love them. I use like a nickel size with 3 drops of the oil. Makes my hair so conditioned and shiny. The new conditioning mask is really nice too. I use about 4 pumps for my hair.
OMG! I just got the leave in and oil! I tried it a few days ago and interestingly I did not like it at first, but I can not deny, my hair felt soft the next day! Do you use the entire line?
@@AnnaBelise Yes I do. I bleach my hair to platinum for fashion colors. It is probably the only reason I still have hair 🤣 The leave in and new conditioning mask are very concentrated so truly a little bit goes a long way. I know if I use to much my hair looks greasy and gross.

Just did olaplex 0 and 3 today. Applicator bottle was easy to me and I used less while still fully covering my hair

@@AnnaBelise yes I do. I didn't have tangles in my hair and it's softer. And I started at the root and let it go down and smooth it along.

I just got the 3 and 6 because my hair was so damaged after getting highlights it definitely saved my hair. Also my hair is so thick and a lil goes a long way
Olaplex recommends that you do not put 0 in a spray bottle. The air fumes are not conducive for inhaling. ...but like you, I also use it on wet hair.
Yeah I saw that on a forum after filming. I still use it in a spray bottle because I am hard headed but I now use two masks. You saw me coughing though! LOL. The products are strong. Did you ever try on dry hair? I thought about it, but It just didn't make any sense to me.

@@lovelite6737 Yeah, proceed with caution. It is strong. I haven't come across anything from Olaplex that says to refrain from putting it in a spray bottle. Idk what kind of hair you have, but let me know how you ended up applying number 0! I'm curious. I know for me there was no way todo it without the bottle and not use the whole thing lol. But someone commented that the nozzle worked just fine for them!

I bleached and dyed my 4c hair and it’s very unhappy. I haven’t found any videos on colored hair but I’m hoping it goes as well as yours.

Since 0 is a water consistency... i had no issues saturating my hair with little nozzle. The bonding solution shouldn’t be airborne.

Use the nozzle at the root, and it runs down your hair. The nozzle makes absolute sense.

I used to think having thick hair was a curse because it was so much work to do my hair when I was a kid. But when I got older, I learned it was a blessing. Some people are dealing with thinning hair as they get older. But those of us with all that density, when we get older we still have our hair thickness.
@@judywalker2849 When I was younger, I was permed/relaxed. So I always thought my hair was so thin. Once I went natural and actually started taking care of my hair....I'm like OMG...this is so much work LOL. But yes! Definitely a blessing.
My 0 came in a spray bottle. I just bought mine within the last few months, so this may be why.

When you feel like you have to throw shade on the way others spend their money or take good care of their hair shows a lack confidence, and full of judgment on your part. In my mind wetting your hair first means that your hair will draw water rather than the solution into it. I'm not sure you will get the full benefit wetting your hair first.
I use the nossle to apply to braided hair. Maybe 6 braids. Just squeeze along the braid (a few dots inside the braid) and around the root. I then unbraid and brush through and boom!
