    That's some delicate footwork by the FF getting on the ground ladder at 11:18.

      Killian Whitelock Yeah that part was more daring than the rescue.

      I wonder what the poor tree had did to him to make him climb out on that ladder just to chop bits off it

    What a dark difficult tedious dangerous life changing career. I love them all. Each job they go to they dont have any promises of going back with their crew. Their freezing in the winter then get wet from water and in summer they burn up but dgaf and get wet which im sure helps with all that equipment. So amazing

    I was very surprised the woman wasn’t on the aerial ladder as soon as it was raised to her window. She had the aide of two or more firefighters to help her get out the window and descend down the ladder. I am glad she got out okay.

      @Joe Bien Sensible words indeed. I am sure there was no real urgency otherwise they would have had her down sooner. Easy when your just watching, but more difficult to take your time, if available, to make the decent as least frightening as possible. Well done guys.

      Better safe than sorry. Who knows if she tried getting on the ladder already and they had to move it. She was smart for what she did, not to mention, she gets to tell everyone how heroic the FDNY really are.

      Yeah, I have done ladder rescues like this before too. There was no rush in getting her down, the fire was contained, so slow down take it easy.

    I have the utmost respect for FDNY but c'mon guys. Overhauling without masks and we wonder why cancer is the biggest threat in the modern fire service? Inexcusable these days. Lead from the front.

    • @lukasahs6064
      @lukasahs6064 5 років тому

      Fuck off with your ”oooh cancer” talk. Let them do as they want and give them a break. Pussies like you too worried about others is the reason why stupid policies had to be enforced.

    • @CameronLHC19
      @CameronLHC19 5 років тому +4

      MintTablett Welp enjoy cancer, later on in life remember we told you so. It’s really common sense but if you’re to stupid to know smoke is bad there are plenty of facts out there as well. Sorry it’s not cool to breath smoke and have the dirtiest gear anymore, it’s idiotic.

      @@lukasahs6064 Oh wait I remember you from the last FDNY video where you were sucking them off and defending them for not wearing their SCBA's where I called you out along with a bunch of others and you either didn't respond or spewed out a bunch of false bullshit because you obviously aren't even a firefighter.

      @@lukasahs6064 lol tough talkers like you are always the first to rehab on scene in my experience. If you don't want to believe in a level of preventable mitigation despite all the brothers and sisters who have passed on due to the effects, all I can say is I'm glad you aren't on my truck.

      Glad you liked the video. I’m sorry that the rescue wasn’t as epic as you’d expected. I personally I thought it was pretty daring to pull a scared, crying woman out of her Smokey 4th floor apartment and guide her down the aerial. There is always the possibility that she can freak out. Anyway I do see your concern and thanks for the feedback!

    How come NO ONE was on that ladder truck to operate it ? I'm somewhat aware of who does what on a FDNY fire scene, and that a ladder truck chauffeur has other duties on scene, BUT when I see sometimes 30 - 40 firefighters standing around with tools in their hands and just looking up ....the guy that dropped his tools and hustled over to operate the ladder gets the medal on Medal Day....just sayin....

    Make the window a door..stop finessing it ...OV man.,just get in there. Make the window a door !! Then there is easy in easy out for one and all!!!
    Roof man..put your head up and just go up that aerial. These days positions talk directly to Chief so he’s waiting .haha.
    I was never great at climbing but when I had to do it that’s what I did. Just do it.
    I realize you had a lot to carry. It’s a pain in the ass.
    Also , looks like the new aerial ladders are wider than older models.
