I adore the way you try to make sure the less skilled riders are also having a blast at the trail! Usually it's just a boring route around the obstacle but you really made something out of it! I personally really enjoy it when there are multiple ways to ride the same part as well, making it more diverse. Awesome work, can't wait to see more!!
That sap filled log is "fat wood". If you ever need to start a fire, it burns really well. you find the fat wood in stumps and the base of branches of dead evergreen trees because the sap runs towards the base when the tree dies. Cool trail!
I’m so glad your built a bypass for the lower level riders! Because I wouldn’t have been able to ride this at my level if it weren’t for you making easier lines
Brilliant awareness on your part for making the trail ridable for different level riders. That is how we grow the sport isnt it. Now if they just open the border and then I can have a chance to ride some BC trails!
That is the Essence of craftmanship, manufacturing, working with your Hands: at the end of the day you have created Something you can See and be proud of. It ist very satisfying. I am a Carpenter who changed woodworking Tools to a Computer Mouse and often when IT comes to choose If going for a Ride or a dig I Take the shovel... To say it with the words of a wise man: Sometimes "The Chase is better than the Catch" Cheers from Germany, Love thus series
Thank you Eric for literally showing how to solve the whole "trails are too easy" problem, the best way to do so is just to build a still fun bypass line to all the sketchy features
Cannot wait, trails run so much better in the UK in the summer. You feel like shit in the winter because you just cannot clear jumps because you have so much less speed.
this video is a demonstration of how motivated you could be to do something full of enjoyment and love and discipline. I loved watching this it taught me a lot. much love and keep up your awesomeness
Looks rad Eric! I love your thinking with the "ride around", and making it more than just a roll by the bigger drop. Can't wait to give it a ride when it's all done... looks like such a good time 🤘
So glad to see this. Be all inclusive so as you progress you aren't forced to hit all features on a black diamond trail. But can see what it's all about without having to hike a bike constantly.
I know i’m bouta sound like every other comment here but u have truly inspired me to take my ol’ mountain bike out and head down to the local trails at ledgeview with a couple friends, thanks for everything man, i appreciate it.
9:00 That is called fatwood and you can lite it when it's wet. I bet some folks would love to buy some from you to stow away for fire starting in the rain. Good to have even in nice weather as you need way less kindling and it starts so easy. Bikepackers and campers and even like old RV folks could use that.
As someone who used to mountain bike a lot in the mid-late 90s and hasn't really done it since, your new "dumbed down" features look like something I could handle.
All right, I have just started to watch this videos about you building this trail and it is awesome! Great work through rain, wind, snow, ice... and ALL of weather inclemency. I clicked the bell to be notified for the next videos. I wish I could ride it, may be some day (I'm in the east coast). I just want to know: Where is this place? May be you have mentioned it on previous videos, how about mentioning it in the descriptions? Hey great job and thanks for the inspiration to go out and ride!
8:10 That is impressive! Did you really do all that by yourself? What an actual lumberjack/engineering expert/woodsman/lol Running uphill away after I feel the tree would have worn me out for the day. Hahaha.
About to put a little trail around our property and am planning bypass routes so my girls can ride the whole thing and not stack on the more technical stuff. This vid is great inspiration for that, but our build will be on a much smaller & lower skill level scale.
I really like that you added an easier route, you should do this for all of the hard feature, or possibly make a blue flow trail in the summer when you got some fans down there to help
Oh, I’m so done with winter by now. The roads here in my hometown in Norway had just gotten clear of snow after 2 weeks with sun and warmer temperatures. But then suddenly we received 50cm of wet snow today, and the weather forecast says there won’t be any warmer days during next week. Before the snow fall I could probably start hitting some trails in about two weeks, but now I probably have to wait for four weeks, at least.
I really love your series on making a trail maybe it is a path to active income for you both. Miss you long time. Hope Yuka is doing well. Have not see her vids lately.
You'll have to build a FOMO up track now so people who don't want to miss out on anything can go back up and do the alternate route! Also, Yuka will have to start a second channel for her kickass van cooking!
Even though it’s not that big, the ride in to the rock drop would screw with my head. I’d be working myself up to the big dumb drop. 😁 I’ll probably never ride your trails, but thanks for making them. 👍👍👍
I'd say that I like our short push up followed by bomb down, means you get lots of runs, but I'd also want the variety and terrain of BC... dreams... ah well, cheaper to stay here.
I adore the way you try to make sure the less skilled riders are also having a blast at the trail! Usually it's just a boring route around the obstacle but you really made something out of it! Easily my favourite trail build at the moment! So glad to see you pushing on even with the snow!! Bloody Epic!!
It sure is
Gotta do it, summer is coming! I wanna ride!
Man, I really can't wait to come ride and help out on this trail! One day.... one day....
One day the border will open....
@@BCpov I just realized I live only 8 hours from you.
I live in fernie bc
He should have called it the “do-nut do it drop”
Because of the donut 🍩
Take me with you!
Same same I would love to help out with the trail
They way she said “doughnuts!” Was really funny
Yeah
That sap filled log is "fat wood". If you ever need to start a fire, it burns really well. you find the fat wood in stumps and the base of branches of dead evergreen trees because the sap runs towards the base when the tree dies. Cool trail!
yeah that dead tree is a gold mine.
Was gonna say the same thing
One man's "dumbing it down" is another man's "AWESOME!" That looks like a BLAST to ride. Great work on this. Such a fun series to watch.
Thanks Cali!
I’m so glad your built a bypass for the lower level riders! Because I wouldn’t have been able to ride this at my level if it weren’t for you making easier lines
same im happy about that too

for some reason its so satisfying to see that dirt being dug up during the timelapses
First time watching a BCpov vid. This guy is superman. I couldn't do that much work in a year. Heck, I was tired just watching the footage.
Who else cant wait for summer
Depends on where you live
Southern Hemisphere in tears
Mine are rn no rain in awhile
Cannot wait, trails run so much better in the UK in the summer. You feel like shit in the winter because you just cannot clear jumps because you have so much less speed.
Well here in the winter i will rain about 10 times but in the summer maybe 3 which make it super dusty plus in the summer it’s over 109
Nice work Eric! The big dumb line is something that I could actually do on your trail😂
I love the way you make your own planks, there is just something really cool about it🔥🤙
I love watching your videos there’s just some sort of calmness in them that keeps me watching
Know exactly what you mean, feel the same way.
Me too
The Big Dumb line actually looks really fun! YEEHEEWWW! So stoked to see this entire track once its finished! :D \m/

9:38 DONUT
You are a workhorse man! Very inspirational. Amazing what you accomplish in a day and then do it again the next
Really enjoy the trail building. Thanks for putting in the hard work and letting us come along for the journey.
So excited to ride this!!! Super thankful for all trailbuilders!
Great video. Love these build videos. Can't wait to see a full run down your trail once it's finished.
You’re going to be ripped once this trail is finished! Can’t wait to see it all come together.
Greetings from the Czech Republic. You are my favorite trailbuilder. Keep going, your trails will be great fun. Have a nice day.
So glad to see this. Be all inclusive so as you progress you aren't forced to hit all features on a black diamond trail. But can see what it's all about without having to hike a bike constantly.
Im telling you eric i like everything you do you aren't like those boring bikers just riding roads you do stunts, nice looks, and gnarly bike.
SO MUCH WORK! What an amazing process - thanks for these videos!
Looking great! This trail is going to ride so nicely for sure. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication to say the least.
I know i’m bouta sound like every other comment here but u have truly inspired me to take my ol’ mountain bike out and head down to the local trails at ledgeview with a couple friends, thanks for everything man, i appreciate it.

The trail looks so much fun! Good job keep it up 👍.
I love your Videos. You motivate me every day to go out an shred some Trails
Please don't stop producing videos
Good job on coming up with alternate lines on your trails. It's details like that which makes it easier for less skilled riders to enjoy themselves.
3 days to dig a single berm... Trail building is not easy work. Much respect!
Loving these trail building videos. Options on any trail are nice to have.
First time watching one of your videos... you guys are awesome! So cool you put in this kind of thought and effort.
"Im no super builder" i think we all disagree
Great video! I can’t believe how good your trail is starting to get!
it looks so nice, definitely worth the time you worked on it.
Awesome work Eric and Yuka!
Dude these videos are so high quality. You're killing it.
So cool watching you build wood features from scratch 👌
you are a great youtuber and it always brings a smile to my face when you upload. Thank you!
This looks so fun!! Good job guys!!
Just got Back from school and now I can enjoy this amazing video
I like how you are showing how one can recycle the natural material already onsite.
I really enjoy watching the progress of this trail !
That is a solid amount of work. Well done.
Nice work dude! You build awesome segments.
As someone who used to mountain bike a lot in the mid-late 90s and hasn't really done it since, your new "dumbed down" features look like something I could handle.

Love the hard work you put into your track keep it up man
Well done. Kinda amazing you did that by yourself. I'd like to ride it one day. I'm in Oregon I too have yard tools for helping
This is why it is great to live where I live. It doesn't snow which makes it easier to build
Ah damn I found another UA-cam niche to deep dive into. There goes my morning.
You do some amazing trail builds, keep it up!!
That’s an awesome B-line!
Well done on making your trail amenable to different levels of riders. Love to ride it some day.
8:10 That is impressive! Did you really do all that by yourself? What an actual lumberjack/engineering expert/woodsman/lol Running uphill away after I feel the tree would have worn me out for the day. Hahaha.
Plz plz plz plz plz upload more you are the only reason I am getting through this quarantine
Man, that’s a really awesome trail! Wish we had trails like this in Australia
Soooo much work. Great job!
I love that he uses cut down wood even for the planks!
About to put a little trail around our property and am planning bypass routes so my girls can ride the whole thing and not stack on the more technical stuff. This vid is great inspiration for that, but our build will be on a much smaller & lower skill level scale.
The most humble UA-camr out there! Love your video!

Awesome work Man!!
This is a very epic build!
Options like this also increase the session-ability of a trail!
That will be one SICK trail when it's completely finished!
Looks sick!
Are you going to make a optional line for the stump jump? Because that feature is even harder than the yukan do it drop.
Love these videos man!
Looks fun! Great video!
I have got to admit I wish I was at ur level, the trails u do are amazing.
I don't ride mountain bike, but I watch every single episode and love it!
“To make a wooden drop I needed some wood” Bcpov 2021
My favorite channel right now
That ride around is amazing!!! I would ride that over the drop any day.
Awesome job mate 👏🏻
5:25 This wisdom is important for all young people to know. Not just for building a trail but when following any dream you have.
I really like how your trail is coming im making a little one myself keep up the good work.
Trails looking cool!
So nice 👍 can’t wait for more like this 🤘
I love this series
for one man and a shovel its amazing how much you get done
I really love your series on making a trail
maybe it is a path to active income for you both. Miss you long time. Hope Yuka is doing well. Have not see her vids lately.
The break noise is a call off the wild or for more MTBers to come. GOOD stuff!
You'll have to build a FOMO up track now so people who don't want to miss out on anything can go back up and do the alternate route!
Also, Yuka will have to start a second channel for her kickass van cooking!
Such a nice Video! But i think it might be useful to use more logs (preferably also supported by trees) as a foundation for those higher berms.
Even though it’s not that big, the ride in to the rock drop would screw with my head.
I’d be working myself up to the big dumb drop. 😁
I’ll probably never ride your trails, but thanks for making them. 👍👍👍
Love the vids you inspire me so much!
Me too!
Great videos! Love your stuff, its my dream to move to BC, here in the UK there arent a lot of mountains...
I'd say that I like our short push up followed by bomb down, means you get lots of runs, but I'd also want the variety and terrain of BC... dreams... ah well, cheaper to stay here.
Loving the wood working skills buddy
as someone that sucks at mtb having a smaller line to work up to bigger features is something i find really useful
“To make a wooden lip I needed some wood” 🤣😂🤣😂
Great videos, also how do you get your hair to look so good
The most underrated question
I like how you just sent it. It was sick🤘🤙
