Bro I actually thought it was a device for fighting games, and was wondering what you where going to do with the Display Pen when I saw the thumbnail. It looks dope, I def could use one of those for my digital art.
Interesting little device. I usually plop my keyboard down in my lap when I'm doing digital art. I haven't even considered other options lol. Cute lil snackbox waifu!
11:40 I actually use a Playstation 4 controller for this. It's very ergonomic (obviously), and you can use it wireless. Using Steam's Controller settings to assign Photoshop-style keyboard shortcuts to it (or you can also just use Joy2Key if you prefer). The nice thing with Steam is you can assign clockwise/counter-clockwise rotation of the analog stick as a shortcut, and I assign brush size increase/decrease for that (with L2 button hold to turn it into opacity increase/decrease). The only bad thing is that you only ever use one half of the controller so that's only 1 analog stick, the d-pad, and 2 shoulder buttons (plus a back paddle if you have that kind of controller). I try to make the most out of it by having the L2 as a modifier key.
Although the dials looks convenient, I still don’t find it a massive upgrade from a keyboard, I set every menu I need to a single key as a pop up menu so my pen would never need to leave the drawing area, 1 as undo so my little finger could press it easily, and brush size on a and s, sub tool on f and color wheel on e layers on v etc so my left hand can covers them really comfortably. But since I’m using clip studio paint on iPad Pro I already has the well supported touch controls like pitch and zoom and rotate covered by my right hand (doing those while holding a pen is convenient than you thought), so I still don’t know how would I cover those when I switch to a Wacom cintiq, probably gonna buy the touch version I guess…? Well I won’t know how good this product is until I actually tried it, so I’m open with trying it out, but still, it just doesn’t looks like having enough keys to bond every menu I need as pop ups
Devices like this are a big workflow timesaver… but why are they so ludicrously overpriced? You have a plethora of brands that think they’re competing with each other at this price band when the reality is that they’re actually competing with “macros on an old console controller” or “an adapter for some old guitar foot pedal” or even the evergreen “Putting the keyboard on your lap while you work.”
The side button looks like it should be pressed with your thumb, so maybe it would work better in your right hand if the controls were appropriately rejigged.
That looks like a neat little device. Good review! ;) Since Black Friday is almost here, I wanted to get myself a drawing tablet. I was wondering what tablet do you have? I saw the brand but I wanted more specifics :)
Hi NihongoGamer! thanks for the in depth review. I'm using the razor tartarus v2 as my hidari device but i'm really interested with this device! doing combos with this odd controller just to save must be interesting haha
This seems like a pretty great product, I think it would be really useful for when I have my touchscreen laptop in tablet mode and the keyboard is folded over to the back. I would still have all the keys and shortcuts I need.
The thing with the XpressKey Remote is that it's immensely portable, even though it was never really designed to be so. The touch scroll wheel does suck on it, and microB USB isn't great, nor the strength of the wireless connection. But it's still a great controller. This on the other hand seems either too big for what it is, or not ergonomic enough to justify the size. That and TourBox's other products don't have the best reviews...
@@NihongoGamer Well then, GOOD MORNING! I LOVE THIS CHANNEL! You honestly got me into arcade sticks and posting fighting game content on my channel! Continue to create and inspire the rest of us small channels! ♥️
I’ve toyed with sub channels in the past. Considering it for the future but for now you can find me on Doki Doki Drawing and I’ve also been streaming my drawing practice regularly on Twitch this month
Oh, people do. But in the long run, digital drawing is just so much cheaper. You don't need to replace equipment as frequently, and the most expensive thing you own is the drawing surface itself. Unlike hundreds of Copics and paper.
Holy smokes! I didn't realize you're such an amazing artist!
@@marcelmeyer6857 Considering there is a Snack Box Micro in the picture, I can almost guarantee you that is NG's drawing and not stock footage

But can it play game tho
What he really wants is a Nintendo Power Glove
lmao
It's so baaaaaad
I really missed the Drawing related videos! This video kind of got me interested to get back into drawing!
Hey, love the way you did the unboxing for this one. It's great to see what comes from the box, and the camera POV was cool to see

I swear this looks like one of those fidget toys
This is cool and looks GREAT for 3D sculpting
Imagine coming back for a 14 minute ad
Also, need to be where Left Hand people can use it with their right hand. Wireless would be nice too.
You beat me to it. Not sure how I'd be able to use this w/o a lefty version.

so how does it control for fighting games?
(gotta love unconventional control schemes)
Lol didn’t have time to test it for this video but I wanted to. The dpad allows for socd so probably less than ideal ;)
Oh yes do tell!
Damn, I wished they had one for left handed people. Would be an awesome keyboard replacement for me.
Yeah hopefully if the product gains popularity they’ll have the ability to produce multiple models

The tablet in this video is a MobileStudio Pro. U can check out the review I did on it from 2017 I think it was :)

Wait did you change house? The background looks different
Wait a minute...
You can draw as well?
Damn! You are a dark horse aren't you!
Haven’t you seen his channel before? Xd
@@basedgodkyon XD been watching for a couple of years, but have only seen his gaming and peripheral stuff. Though I don't watch all his vids.
Haven’t been posting much drawing stuff recently on this channel. I draw more frequently over at the DokiDoki Drawing channel tho :)
i wonder if there is a version for the lefthanded artist? as in, those who hold stylus with their left hand.

And I thought I’m here for a fighting game device….
Me looking at the thumbnail: That is one weird controller.
Anything that clicks in the middle is 999999 IQ.
A keyboard with just a selection of the left third, minus a few keys like caps lock would fit to the left of the display nicely.
Would be funny to see you pull off a raging demon with this bad boy lmao
I don't even need it to be handheld, just wireless. That would make it a great iPad Pro companion. Guess I'll stick with an 8bitdo controller for now.
is it better than the acom Express key remote according to you
, thanks
I like this, but I wish it were vertically designed.
Handheld Solution - unless you draw standing up... put it on your lap. Easy fix.
Early Squad!
What time is it for you right now NHG?

Can you make a separate channel for your art or the devices you use??

this thing looked amazing until i checked the price , keyboard FTW.
I was trying to get a cheap stick or pad to play fighting games. But their too expensive for someone living in Australia. Was thinking a keyboard.
This thing looks really cool saw price . Well looks like I’ll just sit here and be poor
Next version will be wireless please ?
Lost all interest in this device once I saw the price in my region,
Seems interesting at least though,
Good, IF you are right handed.
Can you use this with an ipad?
As much I'd love to say yes... I believe this device requires drivers.
So people don't draw on physical paper anymore? Why not?

Don't forget to set 'B' for'breakfast
I can see you using that to play streetfighter and tekken tho 😅
I saw that device from one of Boros videos and wanted it ever since but damn is it expensive
i want an etch and sketch as a controller!
What about the lefties ????
Do a video where you play sfv with it.
NihongGamer Tourboxneo cool cute GamerGirl.
Wish it was wireless
180 dollars for a copy paste shortcut
Worst gamepad ever. 😉
