Dave, I just found this video, thanks so much for doing this this mod. i now can purchase my first RevoSlot and chip it myself. my problem now is what car to buy.
Very astute to notice the change in noise turning right or left Sir. And the reason why. Nice tip. I think Carrera track is always loud compared to Scalextric.
Great bit of research on possibly the best Revo Escort livery to date. I see some of them have a co driver and so Revo is starting to cater for the Rally market too.
Great show Dave. I have a question about the chips, what happens to the C.U. with the 2022 chips? I have been using the 2022s and so far so good, what should I be looking out for? Since your statement I will switch to the 1044s. Thanks
you're OK as long as your CU isn't the latest two versions of the firmware, if it is then you're still OK as long as your CU is nowhere near a braking zone, with the 2022 chips, if you let off rapidly when the car is on the cu piece or about 1.5 standard straight lengths either side, the CU will make the beeps and light flashes that suggest a short, it's not a short it's the 2022
Good stuff, Dave. A Revo Slot day! That MK is my latest Revo acquisition. By far, the most problematic gear mesh on a Revo. Did multiple adjustments and ran it at 3v for about 45 mins with a mild abrasive applied. Seems to have smoothed out things nicely l. Still a bit noisy.😮
Hi Dave. Great channel. I’m new to digital slot car racing and learn a lot from your channel. I recently bought a slotit gt40 1/32 car. It is an older chasis so it is not a plug and play with sp43 chip. Which video of yours would you recommend to show me how to chip this car? What chip would you recommend. I hope to learn how to install digital chips.
Probably this one, you can apply the same principles and fit the same chip in the slot it, this chip will fit in or on the motor pod fine, same principle with the wires from the chip, red left, black right at the front, the two to the motor, just have a go, 50/50 chance of getting it right, if it's the wrong way round it'll run backwards, in which case swap the motor wires over, no harm done :)
What a super class in setting up a car 👍lovin this Escort model ,I really must try a car from this company. Could I ask what your track baseboard dimensions are ? Thank you ...harry
That's a great build-out Dave. You do have some talent. Question for you though I'm not sure you saw my video about the FT chip in the Fernando Alonso NSR car. I've got it tuned and running really good but now for some reason I can't program it to a different controller. Correct me if I'm wrong, but there's a secret sequence you have to perform in order to do that. Does that sound right? Do you know what it is?😅 This is the second FT. Chipped car that has given me trouble. I had a heck of a time with one of my formula 86/89 cars when I programmed it as a ghost car. Finally got it programmed again but I can't remember what I did 😬
These chips like the carson chips and the slot it chips need to be removed from the track as part of the coding process unlike the carrera chips. Have car on the track, press the code button, then remove the car for 5 seconds or more, wait, put the car back on and then carry on coding as you normally would. All the after market chips can be a bit sketchy for changing over controllers and in and out of ghost mode but the pause off track with no current flowing seems to do the trick.
@@Clearwater124 yeah the sloting plus 035, it's not racing braid, it's a bit thicker and I find it is more forgiving where the carrera rail is a bit M shaped in section in a few places
I plan to pick up another Group 2 and do this very thing.. chip it for Digital! Throw some toothpaste on those gears and run them in and the will quiet right down!

That is a great color combo
Have a good weekend
Hiya Dave Happy.Revo Day😊
Nice video, thanks for the tuning tips
Just ordered this livery, which I think is lovey. Thanks for the video
Yes I think it's the best one so far :)
That is an absolute beauty Dave
I thought this one was peak revo for liveries, but the next one I've got is even better in my humble :)
@@slotr look forward to seeing that one!
@@leesslotcars slot cars with beer liveries, I mean does it get any better than that ? :D
EXCELLENT video sir, great work, cheers from the States!
Hello Dave. Great car.
Amazing livery Dave, thanks for this well produced video!
Thanks man

yes hard plastic track will always be noisier, but that is the only disadvantage :)
Hi Dave another great revoslot and another great video thank you 👍👍👍

yes they did a rally one in the first run of these as well so they must have one eye on the spanish market
Love the car Dave. And thanks for the history lesson too.
Awesome as always Dave 👍

Thank you I should be ok then.

must be a common trait with this one then

What's a good braid Dave? I'd like to replace on my 1/24 ScaleAuto's.
ok, got it

@slotr not interested in lights for the cars?
not for these, group 2 cars weren't really night raced all that much
Well…. This video made my wallet twitch 😅😅🙌🏼, great video as always 😎

More torque on the otherside causing noise
