Hello Dave , great video. After seeing this video I will try and locate one of these. You are very convincing .This particular slotcar appears so much nicer than the Dodge Viper"s GTS-R made several years ago by FLY. The FLY version had the motor in the front like the real car. Performance wise I am sure there is no comparison between the two. Revoslot all the way.
Thanks, Dave. Great fun. Recently discoverd Revo Slots here in the States. They are, by far, the best no mag cars out of the box. Very little tuning required.
Dave, really nice addition to your collection. You can never go wrong with some Viper GTS-R goodness. I looked like it ran really smooth right out of the box.
Well Dave you have convinced me. It's both the yellow Viper and the 911 Porsche in Repsol colours for me, just got to break the piggy bank account to see how much I can afford. The truth is like many a slot car fan, once you have made your mind up your off the internet or better still going to the shops and picking th up with a few other things. Birthday in July so could be a very early present. 🎁🤔😁
Hello Dave just want to warn you about installing the D132 chips in the Revos. I haven’t had any problems with installing that particular chip in any of the closed cockpit revos in the past. I just now got in a Ferrari F333 SP but the open cockpit that car has makes the cockpit look deeper than the closed cockpit and flat underside. The deep floor won’t let the chip fit. This one is going to have to get the slottecknik chip. I install those carrera style plugs on the guide and to the motor to have that chip be able to be installed on other revos. Trying to save money towards more cars that’s why I prefer revos rather than NSR. I love NSRs but having to add the cost of a chip really puts it in the BRM price ( just about) and I’d rather spend a bit more for an amazing car. Check out those new metal chassis BRMs that have been coming out these past months.
Thanks for the info, I've not ventured into the 124 stuff yet although I did have a good look at track fans TV Pete's BRM escort at slot fest. I am impressed.... One day
Really enjoy your channel. Do you reside in the UK? I lived in Mildenhall and Lakenheath Villages from 96 to 2000. Didn't really appreciate my time there until years later. I miss Bitters and Cafferys Ale
@@slotr Yes I was. I was stationed at RAF Mildenhall, 100 Air Refueling Wing. I have such fond memories of my 4 years there. Two things in particular I recall as being unfavorable, the short cool summers and the fact that the 2 villages rolled up their sidewalks by 6 p.m. Otherwise it was a great assignment.
@@slotr Ha ha, I’m glad you enjoyed the Air Fete’s it was a big deal for everyone involved. For me and most Airmen, we hated it because it was traditionally held over the 3 day Memorial Day Weekend and was mandatory duty over the Saturday-Monday Holiday weekend. For me, once you’ve seen one USAF air show, you’ve seen them all and I avoid them like the plague to this day and I only live 20 miles from a large Air Force Base in Florida.
@@slotr On a race related note, I really enjoyed being only 20 miles or so from Snetterton. I used to ride my motorcycle to motorcycle club racing events and the annual round of the British Superbike Championship. In 96 I got free tickets to see the British Touring Car round there as well. My first auto race. I also would ride my motorcycle to Brands Hatch for the World Superbike round at that circuit. Great experiences and memories! During that time, attending the British F1 round was out of my budget, but I watched it on TV.
Dave could you help me out with a link to the plugs with the wires on them that plug in to the Carrera chip and do they have them to plug into the light socket on the chip ?
Really excellent piece on what is indeed an excellent product, Dave :) Do you know what? I think these bigger wheeled Porsches and Vipers are more 'solid', more 'fun' than the Escorts, Alfas and Opels of this world but that's just me. Otherwise, thanks so much for coining a new 'technical terms' which, I believe, properly deserves the acronym 'CTBT' for the hereon in 😂😀🤩
They are a different class for sure there are "bigger" and "smaller" revos, the question is which one of the bigger ones should be next on the list? McLaren? Marcos? F40? Merc? Supra?
@@slotr Good choice. Revo seem to have run out of ideas on these and have recently gone 'all fantasy' on us with Momo and Benetton liveries which I do think look great .... but.... Call me old fashioned but, for me, a Ferrari can be any colour so long as it is red :)
Hi Dave this might be a silly question just wondering the length of the car in mm I’ve never owned a Revo so I’ve found one the same as your review it’s really looks great and it’s 1/32 but just wondering the length 😊
Is there a link or can someone help with what to search for to find the wire connectors for Carrera? They are in the video but I can't seem to locate them on ebay.
FANTASTIC!! I paid a pre-order today for a Revoslot, can't wait !!
Looks great Dave. Thanks for adding the actual history of the real car.
All the best

Do you find adding the Carrera chip effecting the body float?
Doesn't seem to, plenty of room under this body to fit
