Hey awesome stuff, great to see what works after time living in it. So in summary: Make the bed long enough, you don't need a huge wardrobe, have 'stay open' cabinets, get a fly net. Sound about right? Anything else not shown in the video?
Have enough battery/solar power to charge appliances! We love our rice cooker, but we wish we had a tad more battery power to use it more often. Also, make sure your bedding is like a down comforter because it can get very cold at night if you don't have a heater. Get some battery operated lights for the van, it's nice because they wont use your solar power battery. I'm sure there is more but we can make an entire video on that!
Tons! Check out our Vanlife Ultimate Resource Guide. It's free and full of stuff we've learned after our first year in the van. The link is listed in the description.
That's the great thing about building your own van, if you don't like something, just change it and adapt and grow . You will probably change more things as you go along and thats so cool. Must be nice to have a place to stay when you do the upgrades...
Iron on hem is a cheap an easy sewing alternative! I've used it to make pillow cases and skirts many times. Love the upgrades! Thank you for the guide! #VanLifePrep #BBHugs
Tried to download the free van life resource guide you mention at the end of the video but it lands on a page that says "We couldn't find the page you were looking for." There is another one shown that is $39.99
nope not easy at all haha we used stretchy fabric and it was still very difficult. You have to spray the headliner with glue and then maneuver the fabric over all the curves. There will be spots where it's wrinkly and you have to let yourself be OK with it haha

You guys are such role models. Hoping after college to move out west, possibly with a van. Keep up the great work!

Love your videos ❤🙌
Thank you!
Looks gd, happy travels.
Thank you!
This was uploaded on my birthday :)
How did you guys install the bug net? Did you attach it by sticking the sides into the rubber door seal?
Instead of sewing the fabric onto the cushion why not use fabric glue and attach velcro? That way you can remove the fabric to wash it.
That's brilliant! We just might save a couple hours of hand sewing and try this method. Thanks for the tip Andrea!
Nice

It looks great! We keep thinking about doing our front headliner in black suede to match the rest of the roof. Is it easy to do with all the curves?
nope not easy at all haha we used stretchy fabric and it was still very difficult. You have to spray the headliner with glue and then maneuver the fabric over all the curves. There will be spots where it's wrinkly and you have to let yourself be OK with it haha
Dynamo Ultima that's what I thought haha we did our roof and all side panels in faux suede and they were bad enough 😂
I learned how to sew at school in 5 th grade don't know why but I did 😂
it's a good skill to know!
You can iron on Velcro strips... instead of sewing...
This is genius! thank you!
Any vid with dog
Thumbs up !!!
Wet dog...
... bonus.

Agreed!
What foam are you using for the mattress? Looks like one side is high density and the other side is medium density.
It's in our description, and yes that's exactly it.
Totoro Shirt 🤗
wahoo!
What about the Van selling plans!??
People don't wanna spend over 60K for a van they didn't build and customize themselves
Nice job guys, do you have a link for the fly screen?
it's in our description under products in this video!
Are all your overhead cabinets custom made??
Cody made them with no building/carpentry experience :)
I wanna sign up to your guy's email list, just in case I can't find you on social media.
it's on our youtube channel
