¿Es por eso que hiciste clic?
Will the cressi Gara modular foot pocket work with those blades?
Yes
@@konafreediversreviews1175 thanks 🤙
I totally love leaderfins ! I have 4 pairs and got a new one on the way lol. Ever since I switched to leaderfins, I'm thinking about selling my cresssi garas as they are too stiff for me.
Aloha Lee. Glad to hear it! Yes those garas are much too stiff and we've since stopped carrying them. The leaderfins offer one of the best kick for the buck of any blade on the market. Have you tried the shorter lenghts? What do you think of them?
@@konafreediversreviews1175 as someone who ONLY buys short fins I absolutely love them!! I perform better with short since I like exploring caves/ fight currents and the kick has a much more responsive "move" to the short compared to standard, even more so with extra short, however I think 70cm short soft has the best "happy medium" for a 5'2 110 pound cave diver
Hello, just curious if you happen to try the leaderfin blade to a cetma footpocket? Thank you.
Yes they work
Hello. I dive with a speargun. It is difficult to tilt the fins when we are at the bottom of the sea. Do you think it would be useful if we pierced the fins from the upper middle part?
You may be overweighted? Can you float on the surface with a full breath and keep your head out of the water without kicking? Another thing is your fins may be too stiff. Are you saying it's hard to kick (the blades are too stiff)?
I have a question. Just got the leaderfins blades and wanna fix it with cetma foot pockets. My idea was to fix it with screws, so I can change it to other blades later. I would need to drill the holes and I also heard that leader fins often break at that point. What would you suggest, is the best way??
Yes, you must drill holes where the toe plate is. This is how we do it at the shop every day and it works great. Leaderfins are actually quite durable. We see very few broken ones.
Byron, question for you. I've been using plastic Omers for pool practice but now I need to shift gears and get serious. I want to go deep. I'm on the fence if I should go with 80cm LeaderFins or Alchemy V3 Pros. Which is easier, quicker? Thank you.
Get any carbon fiber fins. Try the shoe before buying. The Pathos ones have an amazing thermoshaping shoe concept, after dipped in very hot water and your sock with your fit in it, it will shape perfectly.
Aloha Carl. The leaderfins are a bit stiff typically. Call us and we can discuss. It depends on your budget and weight/height.
I've seen divers either with Cressi and Leaderfins while snorkeling recently. I was looking to upgrade my travel-sized fins for diving down to the ocean floor. My initial search for answers, I entered "Cressi vs Leaderfins." You answered my question right away! My travel fins have warped with a permanent bend over time sitting in the truck.. I guess they're the typical plastic material. Fiberglass it is! Thanks for the lesson!
Aloha Maya, or is it Bill? Either way we recommend you take a freediving course before purchasing fins. It will make you a more efficient and deeper diver regardless of the equipment you are using.
Ahhh should I go for carbon or fiber ? I like to free dive spearfish to up to -80 feet .. decisions .. any thoughts will be appreciated.
The carbon's are a bit nicer but honestly the fiberglass are great. We teach freediving with them. If you have the extra cash maybe splurge for the carbons.
Hi I’m on the Hilo side. Would this work in replacing Cressi modular impulse blades, does it already have holes predrilled, and what stiffness would you recommend for spearfishing (shore dives)?
Aloha. Yes you can use the gara pockets with these blades. Holes need to be drilled in them or they need to be glued in place. The stiffness depends on your size (how much you weigh. Give us a call (808)324-4668
Does the protective film leaderfins offers also affect performance?
In a fin the fibers are what provide the performance. They are what cause the fin to snap back in to place. Everything else is going to reduce performance so the sticker, footpocket tendons, resin holding the fibers together and fin rails will all reduce the performance of the fin to one degree or another.
I've been wanting to ask this, do blades made universally shaped to fit to different brand of footpocket? thanks
The short answer is most footpockets fit most blades. Some footpockets like the C4 C300/400 pockets only work with blades specifically made for them
@@konafreediversreviews1175 thanks for that
I have a pair of omer eagle ray fins looking to get leader fiberglass blades will they fit the omer footpockets? thank you
Aloha Billy. We would not recommend trying without first removing the leaderfin t-rail and then glueing a smaller diameter T-rail where the tendons go. Do you live on Big Island? We have other foot pocket options but if you're dead set on the omer footpockets then it can be accomplished. Call the shop if you want to discuss in more detail (808)324-4668
@@konafreediversreviews1175 i live in Ohio well I could get the find with foot pockets already on them I wear a size 12 wide will a size 12 leader footpocket work thank you
Are those fiberglass blades resistant?
To breaking? Yes they are quite tough for cheap fiberglass blades.
Hi can you teach me how to restore the color on the ice blades ???
It depends what is effecting them. If you can bring them by the shop we can try a few things.
Does someone know if these would fit on Hammerhead Kaudal foot pockets?
Aloha Fabrizio! Yes they will. Leaderfin pockets are the exact same footpocket. Hammerhead just stamps their name on them 😉
@@konafreediversreviews1175 That's awesome! Thanks for letting me know :)
Ah thanks for the sticker tip. I just assumed the graphics were printed on similar to diveR
Glad I could help!
I really want to have leadersfins but I don't have the money to buy them
They aren't expensive. Maybe it's time to get a side hustle?
