- Classic Game Room HD reviews FORZA Motorsport 3 for Xbox 360. Forza 3 is the huge sequel to the immensely popular Forza 2 which was released in 2007. This CGR review of Forza 3 has gameplay from Forza 3 showing game play of cars in Forza 3 on Xbox 360 in HD. Numerous makes and models, dozens of tracks and car customization "Forza" style, Forza 3 packs a lot of content but differs little from Forza 2. Visually the game is a bit disappointing with stale graphics, sloppy backgrounds and stereotypical weather effects. This is 2009 and they can do better. Need for Speed Shift did better and I expected more from Forza 3. As CGR is an avid Forza 2 fan there's a bit of hair splitting disappointment with Forza 3, but it's still an amazing game packing hours and weeks of gameplay. The graphics creation program is relatively similar except this time you can design on a white clipboard rather than just on the hood of the car. Numerous new cars are in the game like the Nissan 370 Z, numerous old cars are in the game like the old school Chevrolet Camaro. Most of your favorite tracks from the previous game return, a nice cockpit view is added and collision damage is as much fun as it ever was. A crappy rewind feature was inserted to make Forza 3 more casual and I felt it was generally easier all around. Fans of the series may feel like they've seen it all before, others may not care and soak up the cockpit view and new tracks. In any event, Forza 3 delivers a lot of driving on Xbox 360.
I love the way Mark smacks down the illiterate internet fools in this review. Long overdue, perhaps a Forza book might help them on their way. This is a very fine game.
While the first part of the review sounded like "oh, I was expecting so much and they let ME down so it sucks", this one was spot-on. The first one sounded like you bought into the marketing hype, and with this one you ripped that marketing apart. Great job, Mark. Probably my favorite review of yours!

Probably one of the funniest reviews I've ever seen/heard i disagree with some of it but still entertaining to listen to, even reading the back of the case haha
The name of the track that he is referring to at 3:35 is Camino Viejo de Montserrat. I use that track for testing my car settings and stuff.
Just got back into the 360 picked this gem up feels like meeting up with an old friend... Love this game and Forza 4
mark-your reviews are just like an english car show called top gear-although it's a show about cars-everyone watches it because the people who are on it are just naturally funny-like although you do great reviews it's just a joy to watch these comical 'shows' on youtube i mean that ODST thing had me and my friend in tears - older dogs sip tea, it's just sooo funny,
anyway keep up the best reviews on youtube but i think at the end you should add a score for what you give the game.
Haha, pretty funny review! Oh and just for the record... the "Where dreams are driven" slogan is part of a longer campaign. They basically said "everyone has a dream car and in this game you can drive that dream car"

Is there any other way to make The A.I drivers in this game a lot tougher they fell to easy to pass on the straight's. I like how u get all the cars unlocked in free play as well!

It's because it wasn't fully processed at the time you viewed it.
When video's are uploaded it takes a few minutes before it's fully processed for HD.

I agree with Mark. I played a demo of this 2 months ago at a car show and thought it was just Forza 2 with different tracks until I saw the cockpit view and realized it was Forza 3.
While I disagree with your negative comments, overall a good review and I respect that you addressed the negative feedback from the community. hope to see you out there.

Hell yeah! It's about time there was someone out there that can control this outrageous problem.
Development started sometime in 2005, just after GT4 came out. I think they said it an interview that the occasional updates and DLC packs are slowly making the game into what it was supposed to be if they had all the time they wanted, so at this point, I suppose it technically is 7 years in development.

You can get reviews of games on any gaming-related website. The randomness in these reviews is part of the appeal of watching them.

great video review. I do criticise the game for a few points though.
1.the prices of performance parts are more expensive than the last game (forza2)
2.some of the cockpit view don't show the driver changing gear.
3.no pit crew which come out to change tyres and fuel.
Wow at first I thought that Gran Turismo 5 and Forza 3 were very alike. However, after watching this video, I noticed that Gran Turismo 5 looks a lot more eye-catching than Forza 3. Forza 3 looks a bit dull. Gran Turismo's lighting effects in are very well-thought-out. Gran Turismo 5 has 950 vehicles that are available to operate (I'm not sure how many vehicles Forza 3 has available). I also think the interior of the vehicles in Gran Turismo 5 look a bit more realistic. But nice Review on Forza!

In Gt4 you had when like the Mclaren SLR barked the air spoiler brake thing came up in this game it doenst also the R8 spoiler stays down also the porsche and the bugatti.
Its not a big thing juts a smal thing i hope they wil include later on in a patch of some sort
The steering and sense of traction are far superior to that of Gran Turismo and even Forza 2. But I will respect your opinion, and not verbally abuse you to the point of no return only so that you may unwillingly put a facade of agreement on your face.

I think you'll find you can, It's called Ridga Racer 7 (Ps3). There are literally hundreds of thousands of different combinations of engine modifications and graphic customisation options available.

Poor Mark getting bashed for giving his honest opinion :D I gotta agree that this looks almost identical to Forza 2. Doesn't mean it's a bad game!
I've given up on past Forza games because of the difficulty. In Forza 2 there was a Viper challenge that I just couldn't beat. I wanted to smash my controller after my 50 or 60th attempt at the same race. Thats why I will appreciate the rewind button.
The main complaint about Forza 2 was the boring visuals on the tracks. That is where I think Forza 3 has 2 beat even if it isn't the graphical leap everyone was expecting.
Your Review of Forca2&3 makes me whant to test&play&buy thoes games+Xbox360 youst for playing a game that is like GranTurisimo but with ferrari`s Lambo and lot more customizing :D
Gran Turismo's cool, but GT5 was the biggest disappointment of my entire life. 5 years and we got GT4 with some new cars, a few new tracks and some awful menus.

Opinion is the key word im not into racing games that much but after seeing all the comments the people left on your part one video i had to see if you had anything to say and you did and you pretty much owned them. people dont understand that you wanted more out of this game
@derbigpr500 What has GT5 to be considered an arcade? Youre saying this cos it has no damage? Cos if youre saying this for the damage I have to say that normally when you test cars youre not racing, and absolutely not crashing the cars...
Do more reviews on Super Nintendo or PS2 type of games. What about people like me, that can't afford an Xbox360/PS3?

No one really knows. One of the biggest reasons is that they don't use other 3D modelling companies to make the cars for them like Turn 10 do, and instead make them on their own. Given the small amount of 3D model makers they have, it takes a while. Also, the company are notorious for being perfectionists; they said once that one of the biggest reasons they keep making sequels is because something wasn't as good as it could have been in the finished game.

Not quite Pokémon numbers, Gran Turismo 5's launch week sales were still plenty enough to land the long-awaited racing sim firmly in first place atop Japan's bestsellers list for the week ending November 28. the reason why i stick to fm 2 is because, i drive with steering wheel and pedals, and in fm 3 you dont see the guy shifting and the steering just isnt right, but in fm 2 you see the shifting ant it looks real when you turn the steering wheel:P
yeah thats true, GTR2 is one of my favs and has such a delightful feel. Not to mention its not a full sim and easy for anyone to play. However, racers on the pc are really really really lacking in the visual department, and honestly the fact that cars in SimBin games look like cardboard cutouts make me prefer forza. Race07 is just not as good for its time as GTR2.

Wow it looks pretty good!. I'm a GT guy but if I had a xbox 360 I'd pick this up. Not where I'd go for a driving simulator though.
