Scott, congrats on the new website! I'm sure you'll make it a great success! I use your YT channel often as it is one of the few that gives me current news on how to use my now 38 year old Mk510. I think I have the only one in Japan which makes face-to-face networking for me virtually impossible. I came here to see what you thought about the new soon-to-be law requiring SawStop style technology to be built into all new table saws sold in America. Shopsmith obviously cannot incorporate that technology into its current designs so I was wondering how they will address it if/when the law goes into effect?
I’m sorry that somehow I missed this comment until just now. No one knows when the law might become enacted, but once it does you’ll likely see some lawsuits that will attempt to stop it. But as for SS, they could easily just offer a Mark 6, just removing the saw blade, arbor and insert. If that happens the saw accessories could either be purchased used or from an aftermarket seller. I think we will be just fine. Scott
Subscribed. Scott, at the risk of shooting myself in the foot, your membership levels should offer more tangible benefits than just access to chats. The higher levels should get more content...free plans for jigs or projects, maybe, or discounts on online or in person courses.
There is some additional content, but you are right, these levels were created two years back as a way of saving the Q&As only. I'm sure it will expand, but for now I'm just trying to replicate what we had here with UA-cam channel membership.

@@MyGrowthRings Thanks, I'm liking it too. My daughter and I played around with Abobe Firefly (Generative AI) to get some ideas. The images were unusable but provided several conceptual starting points. She then took elements from the AI-generated images and manually drew up the concept in Adobe Illustrator.
