You"re right about learning a foreign language, it's necessary to love. By the way, after I watched a few videos in your UA-cam channel, I learned that you visited my country, Turkey, especially Istanbul. I'm glad to hear this because in same way, I want to be able to speak your language and visit (even live) there. Thanks and greetings from Turkey.

I'm an Afrikaans native speaker. I fell in love with your culture, your healthy way of cooking, out of the garden vegies and fruit and especially your tenacity during these difficult times. I'm not able to afford lessons, etc. but watching your clips on You tube helped me a lot. As I mentioned before, the Ukrainian language shares a lot of Afrikaans vocabulary with the letters scrambled in a way that I recognize the word, and in many instances the exact same Afrikaans stem with an added sound in Ukrainian. eg Billion in Afrikaans = miljard. Chemist in Afrikaans = apteek, library in Afrikaans = biblioteek, Gospel in Afrikaans = Evangelie, etc. Thank you Inna.

Thank you for sharing your story! I first visited Ukraine twenty years ago. At that time my daughter and I began learning some Russian. At that time it was useful. Learning Ukrainian seemed very intimidating but recently my daughter encouraged me to try by using Duolingo to learn. I knew if I ever went to Ukraine again I would need to know it. You are right. I am in love with Ukraine and the Ukrainian people and culture. This motivates me toward my goal. Again, thank you for your story! I also love music and enjoy listening to Ukrainian music!! Дуакую!! I don't have a Ukrainian girlfriend. I have been following Ukraine closely since 2008 and I just have a strong belief that Ukraine is at the heart of the future of human history. I believe there is extraordinary potential in the Ukrainian economy and its potential influence in making the world a better place. I am a little afraid of a girlfriend because I think I need to work on my life goals without distraction. On its own, a girlfriend sounds great but some people live more for happiness and others more for purpose. I live for purpose. My greatest fear is having died without done anything sufficiently meaningful in my life. You can say, however, that I have fallen very much in love with Ukraine.

BTW it is very cute the way you pronounce "motivated" ... however the letter 'v' in the word 'motivated' is pronounced the same as the letter 'v' in very. Perhaps divide it into four separate parts, for example 'mote - ti - vate - ted' ... So practice saying 'veh' with very and 'vay' with vated. Hope that helps ☺

Are there bands from Ukraine that could be considered as equivalents to Linkin Park and Led Zepplin? Meaning that they have similar music and their songs have similar themes?
