Your the best hat maker on UA-cam I tried to make hats of everyone's videos your the only person I can follow you make hat making so easy a big THANK YOU
I always learn something new when I watch your tutorials. My grandfather always said the day you stop learning something new is the day you start dying.
Hi Fiber Spider! Been awhile & Boy do I LOVE the hat I made mySelf from this pattern! I did the extra rows, as you suggested to fold up for a brim & Love the comfy fit. I Wish I could show you a picture of it's Beautimous!! and BTW... I was wearing this hat at the Elk's Lodge here in Canyon Country the other day & a good Friend & Member saw it & Complimented me on it & when I said that I Made It 🧶he's like... NO WAY! & I said WAY! & NOW he wants me to make HIM ONE!! so... I AM!! so again...Thank You so much for your Sweet Spider Style & Terrific Tutorials & Hope that your Lovely Self is doing Good. Bye for Now!
Hi Fiber Spider! So Glad I found you! You're so Cute! and Love this hat. I was looking for easy, yet stylish hats I could make for chemo patients to help keep warm & Cute! I am a 12 year survivor that Thankfully did not need chemo, but I like to make a few, every year, for the treatment center as a Thank You for my Life. I like to use a few different patterns to mix things up! I just added this one to my repertoire. so Thanks Fiber Spider & Happy Yarnage!!
Making this hat right now! :D and that tip about the Increase being made into the 1st stitch of the last row's increase...BRILLIANT!! and Thank You!! and Loving your witty & clear instruction. Yeah!!😁
Just wanted to pop on real quick to say thank you! Thank you for all you do!! We have learned so much from watching you and have made so many beautiful pieces of clothing!! We cant wait to try this one!!! ❤ from your biggest fans!!!
You are a great teacher; thanks for using yarn that is easy to see and showing the ends and beginnings of rounds clearly. I made a hat with Ferris Wheel yarn in Full Moon, which is beautiful yarn and was surprisingly easy to work with. I did have a problem, though. My hat was staying flat as a pancake, and I had to deliberately start tightening up my stitches to get it to form a hat shape. I also added a FPDC/BPDC ribbed brim using a smaller hook. It finally turned out okay although it is still a little loose on me. I like soft squishy hats and it turned out very pretty. Thanks for uploading!
Hi Fiber Spider! I also want to say thank you for everything you do for us! Your creativity is so on point and I appreciate it! I also love your reading of Aesop's fables!! Thanks again!!!
I have learned so much with your videos. Yes could do a scarf with this same pattern. You make it so easy to learn. Don’t stop doing what your doing. Thanks
I have a stash of vintage and many other Ferris wheel, love it, works up well and love the colors, I love crocheting with you, I can keep your pace and your stories , thank you.
Fiber Spider, I love your videos. I have discovered a foolproof way to get a good fit of your hat. It involves a little math. My head is a 22 inch circumference. I usually use a H size crochet hook. I crochet the crown, and will measure the radius of the hat, which is the measurement from inside the circle, from one side to the other. My radius is 7.0 inches. Then Multiply 3.17, which is Pi, with the radius of the hat. It will equal the circumference of 22.0 inches, when rounded up.
Thanks so much for sharing this tutorial. As I was working on it, I realized that the sides of the hat match a lacey scarf pattern that I adapted from a prayer shawl design. The scarf and hat will make a lovely gift!
Another hit with Ferris Wheel yarn. I used Evergreen 603. It will make a great Christmas or St. Patrick's Day topper I finished the hat in a little over three hours while watching the ALCS . I did use extra rows to turn up the brim. I can't tell you how much I look forward to each of your crochet videos. Thanks.
I love your tutorials you are so explicit and I like it Thank you for your generosity in teaching your so personal I feel as though your sitting right next to me showing me every step.
I love this hat and made it for my self and daughter I only did 14 rows for me since I liked the roll effect it gave and for my daughter only did 11 rows she liked more of a cap effect but it was a little loose so I did a sc in each of the two dc and ch 2 space and that brought it in enough. Thank you for revamping this pattern for adults it’s a great hat.
Oh my I l9ve the look of this hat. I will be making this one. Thank you Craig for your tweaking to make them work for my size as well as yours. Wow. Love it. Love the color of the one for this tutorial as well. Yippee yhi a. I made your divine hat last night in a rust tweed, from $tree it's premier yarn its soft an I Love it.
Thank you once again Fiber Spider. You have advanced my skill set. I have not made many hats in the 11 yrs I have been crocheting. I have made 2 of these this afternoon. I made one to be striped.........lots of ends to weave, but it turned out very nicely.
This is the first time I both understand what a slip stitch is *and* think I can finally successfully make a hat! Thank you so much. Love your tutorials!
I’ve said it before but I have to say it again...I absolutely love your videos!!! I’ve been crocheting only for about a year and I so enjoy it. Your tutorials make is so much more enjoyable. I love how you teach and give tips. You also have a great personality 😊
I can't thank you enough for your patience, good advices and wonderful sense of humour. You're perfect for dummies like me. BTW while crocheting the hat the Kung Fu Fighting is playing in my head.. lol
I am not a hat person, but I am going to have to make this hat. I am very visual person so your narrative on increasing in a circle popped a light bulb in my head and it all makes sense to mr now. Thank for making the light bulb appear in my head. You just increased my knowledge and skills level. Have a wonderful day.
I’ve started on the third cap. I love this pattern. I did a scarf too of the same design and it turned out to be just one row back and forth(just straight up not in the round). Thank you so much. Love it. Shared it with my friend who loves the design too.
Such an easy stitch pattern with a fabulously intricate look! But I'm not surprised...you make everything so easy with your tutorials! Love to crochet along with you!
Thanks for sharing this pattern. Your instructions are excellent and I was able to follow them with no problem at all. Also learned some interesting points about round increases. You are a gem of a teacher! Love your crocheting videos. 😃💗

What a clever idea and fun project! I like this technique. It reminds me a little bit of corner to corner. Your explanations are perfect, as always, and I like your tips about keeping track of doing the increases for the circle. I am definitely going to make this hat!

Hi Mr Spider. The hat is so pretty. I love the yarn and you are such a fabulous instructor I think I can do this. Lov ya and see ya later. Pamela from Ohio aka Squeek.
I like making a band towards the end if I start from the crown and decrease the stitches if needed to give a nice clean look. Sometimes using a couple rotating dc and fpdc but I love the look of this beanie. Thanks for another great tutorial.
