Yes! It's a process, not a product. The my biggest issue with deer hunting channels and some viewers of the channels. It's all about the product and if there isn't a deer in the video, etc., then they lose interest. We hunt for food, sport, enjoyment, quality time, and so much more - not just a set of antlers.
Mushroom hunting in the spring is my go-to for finding spots I want to hit during early archery. Identifying food sources and bedding areas can be easier before the underbrush gets too thick.
Hey that'll work! I agree - once the leaves thicken up the woods it's tough to see and more around. It's also tricky with snow considering fall beds and scrapes are covered up.
Good video and great tips! Yes, even aging Boomers like me who've hunted deer for five decades can always learn new tricks! I've found that Spring turkey hunting is my excuse for getting back into the deer woods and updating my scouting intel!
ha! I have no idea, Paul. I wish I knew. I normally don't wear clothes this expensive. However, a friend of mine gave it to me because it came with a tear in the shoulder after he ordered it from Sitka. Sitka told him to keep the jacket and they would sent him a new one. The jacket I have got stitched up and now it's good as new.
Totally agree with you and would add that deer hunting is a continuous learning process.

My weakness too! I always think I'll get out in January & February but I use the weather as an excuse.
mhmmm....then time slips by
@@RelentlessSportsman yup, so me and my 71 year old brother went out yesterday and found a couple of great spots on public. Never too old!
Enjoyed the video, great job
Thanks!

Thanks, Ron.
That's a great idea. I have never considered Spring turkey as a good time to scout WHILE turkey hunting.
What Sitka coat is that
