One of the most iconic beaches in the northwest of Puerto Rico is Punta Borinquen Beach in Aguadilla. This is a gorgeous beach with blue waters and a rich history. Come join us in our adventures as we visit amazing places on this beautiful island!

The ruins of the Faro of the Punta Borinquen
These ruins are a historical site dating back to 1889 when the lighthouse was built by the Spanish government. Due to erosion and a big earthquake during 1918 followed by a giant wave, the structure was badly damaged and a replacement lighthouse was constructed in 1920.
Today, these ruins are part of the rich culture and history of the island. If you like history, you should definitely visit these ruins and feel transported to the past.
If you go to the side of the ruins, you will find a path that leads you to the beach and some amazing scenery. You can walk on the rocks and admire the beauty of nature, enjoy the sounds of the crashing waves and see how many years of erosion can form incredible shapes in the limestone.
Also, we visited Twyford BBQ in Isabela. This is by far one of the best BBQ places we have ever visited! Delicious food and great service make this place a must-visit restaurant in the area, Ahh and the view is spectacular!

How was the drive from San juan? I'll be driving to playa crash boat and a bit nervous on the driving part 😬
Hi! Well, to be honest, it depends on the day of the week. If you are driving during rush hour from SJ, you will find some congestion in Hatillo (north, right when the highway ends, and the road #2 starts), but after that part of the trip, it's pretty chill. So I would not worry about that trip, it's a nice drive. If you go on a Saturday early, you will not have any stress at all, or Sunday. Basically it's all highway up to hatillo, then you will find stop lights but is a mayor road so you will be ok. Just a quick advice: driving in PR could be a little stressing if you are not used to it, be careful in stop signs and yields, apart from that you'll do fine! In my younger years I would go to Punta Borinquen to watch the whales in the distance. Breathtaking!

Great video! You must continue down past the ruins to La Playuela and Wilderness all the way to Pena Blanca. One of the best places to see sea turtles! Just be careful of parking.

how long did it take you to get to the spot with the rocks?
Hi, it's just a short walk from the entrance. Maybe 5 minutes, 10 if you take your time like me lol 😆 when you get to the beach, just walk to your right and you will see them
