We are going on Tour on the island to visit some of the most amazing beaches and experience the best food! From snorkeling, swimming to hiking, the west of the island is a great place to go and have a memorable day.

Our trip starts with a 1 hour and 40-minute drive to the town of Isabela. Located on the northwest coast of Puerto Rico, Isabela is a unique town for a weekend visit or escape from the city. Isabela should be on your to-do list when visiting the island, because this town offers every activity you could possibly dream of. Isabela has perfect places to surf, snorkel, scuba dive, hike, go for a long bike ride, or just eat a fantastic meal.
20 minutes driving to the west, you will find one of the most incredible and beautiful beaches on the Island. Crash Boat Beach in Aguadilla
This paradise is ideal for snorkeling, swimming or just having a relaxing fun day on the beach with friends and family.

If you want to have an incredible BBQ experience, we recommend visiting Twyfords BBQ in Isabela, here you will find delicious authentic BBQ, and a spectacular view!
But if you are craving Puerto Rican Food you can visit Desecheo in Aguadilla. We had a yuca and plantain Mofongo stuffed with Chicken, Chorizo and skirt steak, all dressed with a Guava chimichurri and melted mozzarella cheese. Ahh, and the most amazing coffee crème Brulé ever.
Located on the Southwest side of the island and approximately 2 and a half hours from San Juan we found Playa Buye in Cabo Rojo. Calm turquoise waters, beautiful smooth white sand and a great ambiance makes this beach a nice place to spend the day or even a weekend, since there are some cabins where you can stay minutes from the beach.
If you are into hiking and exploring and want to wander off the beach for a second, you can walk west of the beach where you will find a fascinating trail. Guaniquilla trail is a magical path along the shore of Buyé Beach. This trail is full of birds, lizards and the soothing sound of the ocean while you hike. After about 20 minutes, You’ll get to the top of a hill where you can see las “ruinas de Guaniquilla” and also an incredible view of the Laguna Guaniquilla.

Awesome. I lived in Borinquen for 2.5 years while stationed at the coast guard air station. Seeing all these amazing beaches and water is bringing back such good memories of Puerto Rico. Kudos.

Playa Buye is gorgeous but our favorite part of playa Buye is the Guaniquilla Lagoon Hike! We actually release a video today in which we visited Guaniquilla lagoon and the "Pirata Cofresí caves! Hay algunos lugares en la montaña q están permitiendo acampar con reservación. En cuanto a las playas, no he visto al momento lugares q estén permitiendo por el toque de queda, sin embargo le recomiendo el grupo de facebook: Acampando en Puerto Rico. Toda la información que obtengo sobre acampar proviene de ahí!! Muy buen grupo.

Thanks for showing off our western beaches. I feel proud when someone else likes our beaches. Are you familiar with our eastern beaches? Some have a small hike, but the reward is well worth it. Examples are; “Playa Escondida” in Seven Seas, Fajardo, “La Zanja” also in Seven Seas and “Punta Icacos” Humacao, just to mention a few. Again, thanks and I apologize for the moron who actually dared to write something stupid in this forum. Every race has their own mentally challenged individuals. Keep up the good work, your videos show a lot of hours of editing.

Some people are just misguided by a bad experience or uncomfortable situations, but we know that Puerto Rico is full of nice, welcoming beautiful people. Personass como usted hacen la diferencia! Great video! Love the drone and underwater shots. You missed Rincon completely so you'll have to come back for the many beautiful beaches here. And specifically Steps Beach/3 Palmas since you like snorkeling. Also I would say Borinquen Beach in Aguadilla is one of my favorites and Jobos in Isabela. Playa Sucia in Cabo Rojo is also simply amazing with the white sand and large lighthouse. Crashboat and Buye would definitely make my list though! Overall nicely done! You can tell you're getting a little more comfortable in front of the camera. It takes time, but keep practicing!

If you’re facing the water at ‘Crash Boat Beach’ walk left along the beach and you’ll see the crashed boat/small ship that gives the beach its name. Must be very old because it’s pretty well stuck in the sand. My favorite beach in my families hometown… Aguadilla!
It's a beautiful beach. We love it! Aguadilla and Isabela are one of our favorite places to visit in PR!!!

Hi, this is the first time I run across your channel. I really like the image quality of this video, but there is an issue with the background music on the "Crash Boat" segment. It gets really loud in-between the voice-over parts.

Great info!...but its obviously based on Opinion. Balneario de luquillo was awesome. So is la poza del obispo and balneario de puerto nuevo. It all depends what kind of setting you're into ..and whether or not you want waves
Hi, thank you for your comment. You are totally correct, this is a matter of opinion but in this video, we only covered our top western beaches, so west and north west. Luquillo is in the east of the island. Other factors were bathrooms, parking and safety. We actually have a newer video of top safety beaches around Mainland PR that includes La Monserrate in Luquillo and balneario Puerto Nuevo who happens to be one of the best ones!! -Gabriel😊

Hi, lol yes, all the underwater snorkeling footage was recorded by Natalie with our gopro. We also have a few other videos of snorkeling in Puerto Rico (Vieques, Culebra, Aguadilla, Vega Baja, Cabo Rojo etc!)
Coming from san juan, do you think crash boat and cabo rojo can be done together in the same day, or make separate days of each?
Hi, if you leave San Juan pretty early, you can do both in one day.. it all depends on how much time you want to spend on each beach. We did this trip in one day but we woke up super early and spend about 1 hour and a half in Isabela( we did not visit shacks that day, the footage was a previous visit) , 2 hours in crash boat and 2 hours in Cabo Rojo.. so it was an all day Road trip! From San Juan to Aguadilla its about 1h 45m drive, From crash boat to cabo Rojo is about 1 and 15 mins drive. Hope you have a great time while visiting and enjoy those beautiful places!!

Hi. I was trying to follow along but could not figure out the timeline. How many days did it take you to visit all 5 beaches?
Hi, thanks for watching. We left around 7am, and arrived to Isabela around 8:50am. Pozo teodoro and poza las golondrinas are 5 minutes apart. We spend about 30 minutes, then went to shacks, about 15 minutes away from golondrinas. We spend 1 hour on Shacks. Then went to Crash boat, bout 20 minutes from Shacks. (1 hour on Shacks) lunch on Aguadilla (10 minutes from Crash boat) and then 1 hour and a half from Aguadilla to Cabo Rojo Buye, we stayed there until around 6pm. All done the same day... thank you so much!!

Don't know if I missed it, the Crash Boat Beach in Aguadilla Bay is relatively safe all year round
Hi! Crash boat beach is gorgeous but the day that we were filming, there was a rip current advisory on Crash Boat and the waves were strong so it was not as safe to visit. Still, one of our favorite beaches to snorkel!! Thank you!!!!

Love the video, but how is Crash Boat not #1?? By the way if you walk to the left by the rocks, where you can't walk anymore, you will find the remains of an old ship, and why they call it Crash Boat Beach.

It's so difficult to choose the best beaches on the Island because all of them are awesome! Crash boat is one of the best beaches for snorkeling for sure! If you went to Chrasboot Beach you can see the actiual Boot that is there , is touk ther for meny years. I think you did not see it at all .
That way thay call it Chasboot its there look for it at you faer left.
Hi, Thank you for your comment! Yes, we saw the boat, it's an impressive "crash" lol. We tried to be as "general" as possible since there's a few theories about why the beach is called "crash boat" being the one you mention the most common explanation, yet others have told that it was because of the Air force use the port calling it "Emergency Rescue Boats unit" and its mission was to rescue planes and helicopters that crash into the ocean, the Air force informally called those boats "Crashboats" Apart from that, this is one of the most beautiful beaches we have snorkeled on, and it's a real treasure! Hi, we have a separate video for Rincón,(Puerto Rico Virtual Tour) for Steps Beach and Domes. Also we are preparing a new video for snorkeling in Rincón but since we recorded on Winter and Rincón is little rough during the winter, we are waiting for summer for our Rincón Snorkeling adventure. Still, we have a nice video with great Aerial views of Rincón. Thank you.

Hi, by the time we made the video, we already had another video of Rincón and the beaches presented on this list at that moment were our top choices, but agreed that Rincón has beautiful beaches and a sunset second to none!
That thing she called “cheese chips” is mini bacalaitos, better than cheese. Enjoy our island, but remember follow the goverment rules and protect our resources.
