I'm not american, I wasn't even alive when Late Night was on the air, and I'm not really a fan of television programming, but there's something about Letterman's style of humor that really clicks with me. I'm so happy to have discovered him and your channel this year.

At 9:20, what is the song the band is playing after the Keebler Elf Death Top 10 list? I think it’s from the ‘60s... ugh I can hear the group sing it in my head but I’m blocked.
Don, do you have the guest drummer shows where they had a famous drummer fill in for the top ten lists? One night they had the drummer of the bangles and she couldn't do a snare roll. It was incredibly cringe. I think on the next show or soon after they had the drummer of Bon Jovi, Tico Torres. He did a flawless job and Dave quipped "Hey pretty good. You couldn't play for The Bangles but pretty good. " Paul told him he was being mean and that you don't have to be able to play a snare roll to play 'Eternal Flame'.
This stuff is so good, Don. Hard to believe you keep doing it with all the copyright hassles. 🙄. Thanks

I remember as a kid in the early 90s my dad had a top ten list book when Letterman was still at NBC
3:43 - I was expecting the joke to be that it was a drum Phil.
Paul had that one covered.
Hard to believe that last clip was only the day after Dave’s post 9/11 monologue.
Audience seems more subdued as well.
I just watched Dave's speech from the day before. He was so shaken. As were we all.
