Vancouver
Buffalo 🦬
San Diego
London is never going to have a sports team in any American leagues. Logistically it is impossible. The travel and scheduling is just not feasible.
I rather a team in London that can compete in the Euroleague and develop hoopers
@@unlockedaccount exactly, that’s what would be better for basketball. Britain has to further develop their own basketball league and system if they want to grow the game there. Putting an NBA team there is not the answer and would actually help as much as people think and will do nothing to help develop English basketball players. For basketball to grow in Europe, there needs to be interest in the countries’ own leagues, not just the NBA.
I think a lot of Americans just don’t understand how basketball works in Europe and European sports culture.
@@Not_Salwe have the BBL
@@UnionGrays and the English should focus on trying to grow that, not try to get an NBA team
Never say never.
Man just give Seattle their damn team back. The NBA knows they screwed those fans.
Yes they did!
Vancouver, give them their team back
Next cities for an nba teams are seattle, las vegas, mexico city, london, paris, berlin, rome,
madrid,st louis,montreal,pittsburg,vancouver,kansascity,sandiego,tokio,shanghai,seoul sydney,mumbai,johannesburg,
Lagos,sao paulo
Seattle & Pittsburgh deserve teams. Both cities are gonna have a population boost the next decade.
I would like to see that!
How is pittsburgh gonna experience a population boost?
Aren’t both those cities decreasing in population? How are they going to have a population increase?, the cities that are increasing and will have a boom in the future are, cities in Florida and Texas, Oklahoma City, Nashville, Atlanta, charlotte, and phoenix
Pittsburgh is a dying city. What boost?
Buffalo & Calgary deserve teams. Both cities are gonna have a population boost the next decade.
It's gonna be Seattle and Las Vegas. Mark my words! 🏀 🔥
More towards Las Vegas since they now have football, hockey and baseball coming soon
It’s should be Buffalo 🦬 and Montreal that should get the next NBA expansion franchise team or relocation that a current NBA team would move to those 2 cities in North America
@@richardlittle1663 Buffalo is considered in the Toronto territory and its population is not large enough.
@@MofongoMondongo yes and Memphis will be moved into the eastern conference where they belong
Seattle or nothing
1. Seattle 2. Vegas 3. Montreal 4. Vancouver 5. Mexico City
I so agree, we need the SuperSonics back. Hell, they already have a built state of the art arena ready. Plus I'm pretty sure all the franchise branding is left there. So once they expand there they already have a brand. Vegas I agree too, the city is becoming larger and sports teams are have came there in like the past few years so it makes sense.
Kansas City too
Would love to see one of the major American leagues expand to Mexico. Monterrey seems like the better bet compared to Mexico City. Still a big market, doesn’t have crazy elevation, and less demanding for travel.
No nba player is gonna want to play Mexico, let's be realistic
@ErikLakeland3857 I agree.
All strong candidates… I just think London would never happen. 1 team only in Europe… logistical nightmare. NFL could make it work with a 4 team/city division in Europe and they only play once a week vs 3 times a week.
Buffalo should be included in the conversation of having a NBA Expansion franchise team in Western New York and create a cross border rivalry between the Toronto Raptors in the NBA’s Eastern Conference and Atlantic Division as the revived NBA franchise team Buffalo Braves
Hartford wants a nba team too
V A N C O U V E R man when the grizzlies were around they were giving away free tickets to elementary and high school students. It was the ultimate marketing plan and they had no idea because a shit ton of us grew up wondering where our team went.
I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Sonics and Blazers fan. Male. Japanese-American. I was 6 when the Sonics won the NBA championship. 1993-94 was one of the BEST years of my life, and even that devastating first round loss to the Nuggets couldn't ruin the year for me. 1996 was pretty special, too. I am a jersey guru, and have a LOT of Sonics jerseys: Kevin Durant, Rashard Lewis, Brent Barry, Luke Ridnour, Nick Collison, Jon Sundvold, Russ Schoene, Steve Hawes, Wally Szczerbiak, Don MacLean, Richie Frahm, Jerome James, Aaron Williams, Peja Drobnjak, Dale Ellis, Nate McMillan, Sarunas Marciulionis, Vitaly Pitapenki.
Seattle and Vegas are the first two, but after these two get their teams, it's much more wide open.
Montreal has a few big obstacles:
-Taxation (even in the absence of a jock tax, Quebec taxation is horrible, even on a rookie contract)
- Weather (also very cold; the closest weather comparables in existing NBA markets include Milwaukee, Minnesota, Boston, Detroit, Chicago and Toronto, all of which are horribly cold)
- Language (which isn't that big of a deal for players, since Montreal is still relatively livable without learning much, if any, French, but will be a bigger deal for the front office, since the front office will be dealing with the fans and media more than the players will)
And Centre Bell would easily be among the noisiest arenas in the NBA, since it's also one of the noisiest in the NHL, too...
Seattle Sonics 🟡🟢🇮🇹
👍
San Diego has two major professional sports franchises being San Diego FC in the Major League Soccer and San Diego Legion in Major League Rugby
NBA & NHL are gonna be the next route. Big hopes for San Diego.
shoutout rugby i wish we took the sport more seriously
Forgot the Padres
I feel like since there isn't ofc a magenta, or a brown team in PRO SPORTS INCLUDING PRO BASKETBALL I REALLY think that the NBA should get a magenta, or a brown NBA team as a second, or third color INSTEAD of just RED almost all the time IMO because in PRO BASKETBALL there's isn't ofc a magenta, or a brown team in the NBA INCLUDING. So I feel like atp it'll be AMAZING, and EVEN better if we could HOPEFULLY get a magenta, or a brown NBA team as a second, or third color for a change if anything INSTEAD of just RED most of the time since the expansion for the NBA is coming soon cause there's ALREADY alot of teams in the NBA that are already red lmao 💯.
Louisville needs to be considered for a NBA team.
Not Montréal. It is Vancouver or Calgary. Seattle is promised the next expansions team so it will want a team in the east
What about Kansas City?
Seattle!
St. Louis maybe a dark horse to get a NBA team
@@dreamcage1801 st Louis unfortunately is going backwards as an economic location. The Rams left 5 minutes after they realized what a mistake to move there. It just took them 20 years to burn through the lease
@@Hogtownboy1 but they did get the MLS & XFL a few years ago though but it’s a messy ass city. Kansas City deserves a NBA team and play in the east.
@@Hogtownboy1Chicago is going backwards and still have the bulls
@@dreamcage1801 Chicago has has 7 million people and many corporatehead office to buy expensive suite. St Louis doesnt
Here's what I think the NBA should do about new markets;
Expansion teams:
1. Las Vegas Jackpots
2. Tampa Bay Barracudas
3. Seattle Supersonics
4. Nashville Rockers
5. St. Louis Archers
6. Pittsburgh Bobcats
7. Buffalo Blizzards
8. Cincinnati Prowlers
9. Louisville Colonels
10. Baltimore Marauders
Relocations:
1. Sacramento Kings to Kansas City
2. Los Angeles Clippers to San Diego
I TOTALLY AGREE WITH MOST OF THESE IDEAS EXCEPT FOR NUMBER 6, AND THE KINGS IS PERFECTLY FINE OF WHERE THEY AT, AND DOESN'T NEED TO RELOCATE CAUSE SACRAMENTO DOESN'T HAVE A WNBA TEAM LIKE THEY USE TO ANYMORE. PLUS I FEEL LIKE THE PITTSBURGH CHIPMUNKS WOULD BE PERFECT FOR A NBA TEAM, AND THE COLORS BROWN, BLACK, AND WHITE WOULD DEFINITELY SUIT IT AS WELL 💯.
Relocations:
Sacramento Kings to Cincinnati (Cincinnati Royals)
Los Angeles Clippers to Buffalo (Buffalo Braves)
@@richardlittle1663 NOOOOO NOT A CHANGE, THERE'S ALREADY MLB TEAM THAT'S CALLED THE ATLANTA BRAVES, AND THE KINGS ARE PERFECTLY FINE AT SACRAMENTO BECAUSE THEY'RE AIN'T A SACRAMENTO TEAM IN THE WNBA ANYMORE, AND THERE'S ALREADY A MLB TEAM THAT'S CALLED THE KC ROYALS SO NO LOL 💯.
Can we stop have teams outside the USA in all sports please
Atlanta could use a new team. Oh, and Detroit too
What aboute el Paso
Why not put a team in Kansas City and Louisville?
For my own selfish reasons I’d love to see a team in Louisville. I’d just like to see the NBA either there or Cincinnati. Doubt it’ll happen though.
@@75aces97 I believe that they’ll expand to 4-6 cities
idk about kansas city but i know that louisville was actually once in discussion about expansion. It was them and Seattle, but as of right now it’s looking like the 2 most likely cities are Seattle because of course you gotta bring back the sonics and las vegas cuz of the market with the raiders and soon oakland a’s
@@mds52900 what about st. Louis
@mds52900 Does Las Vegas can really support four sport teams? It's bad the Raiders are there while they're outnumbered by road team fans. And the A's are "trying" to move there with the worst owners in sports? Give me a break.
SO ARE WE JUST GOING TO IGNORE THE FACT THAT WE NEED A MAGENTA, OR A BROWN NBA TEAM AS A SECOND, OR THIRD COLOR LOL 💯.
I do not see how a Montreal team would increase the sports popularity in France.
Baltimore, MD Wasn’t considered
The only way Mexico City works, is if all the players on the team are Mexican, players don’t like living in Toronto because it’s outside the US. No player is going to want to live in a city that will change their whole way of life,
They will need to know a different language
Have a different diet
Have to play in 7000feet which is a big problem
Be super far away from their family
Mexico City literally makes no sense, in terms of expanding the fan base it’s one of the best options, but it’s the worst option for the players and fans,
So much people would rather live and play in places like Memphis than Mexico City. It’s just overall a bad location for the nba, same with London
Never say never.
Kansas City!
I don't see it. Sportswise KC is trending downward, with the Chiefs and Royals potentially moving to nearby Kansas. The mayor doxxing a Chiefs football player leaves a bad stain as well
@@overbankedwhat about St. Louis?
@dreamcage1801 It would be cool for STL, but I would be very surprised to be honest.

I never understood the Las Vegas mania, with them supposedly deserving every pro sport. They should just stick with hockey and football. The population isn't big enough for 4 pro teams; they would have to rely on tourists to come to games. The supposed Athletics to Vegas move may be in jeopardy
