- The T-10A in War Thunder is a Russian Heavy Tank available through War Thunders Battle Pass.
The T-10A is a 7.7 BR tank that can face APFSDS rounds with over 400mm of penetration and of course, Bullpup Missiles and Nords. In a full downtier there are enough HEAT-FS lobbing tanks that can easily deal with the T10A easily from any angle.
Not only is the T-10A pretty weak to its competitors ammunition types. It still fires an APHE round available at 5.7 BR that can be pretty underwhelming against some opponents, especially at long range.
The T-10A is a difficult tank to use, but it's by no means useless. Assuming you are on the right map, the right BR and against the right opponents, it'll do just fine.

I love how gaijin removed the Maus because it clubbed in downtiers and got clubbed in uptiers, and yet that's the case for so many other tanks too, like this one.
just the same situation as with vaseline on slopes, they just break the game rather than coming up with a solution

Should I tell you about the T28 at 6.3 that thing has 305mn armor and then the maus lower would be bs lol u brain-dead gaijin or how about the T32 like nice 298mm turret armor at 7.3 a faster reload then a Maus and a better penetrating shell not to mention double the speed and a actual turret rotation speed

@@raiden24913 I've been that r3t20. It was entirely because the guy who shot me shot as soon as I appeared and glanced off the side front armor with an extreme angle.

Literally the solution since BRs were introduced. Back in the day it was T-10Ms and T-54s pounding king tigers and now it is smol speedy bois pounding everything that's pretending to be armored

Honestly I would happily take longer queue times in exchange for battle rating decompression, it really is no big deal u just alt tab and watch UA-cam or something
I would take a 5 minute que if it meant that we could get 15.0, which would allow for more vehicles that would be hard to get a br for to get added

7.7 is just so compressed its unreal. One game you can be clubbing poor 6.7 tanks and the next you're getting yeeted by a G91R3. 6.7 is super compressed too, one game you can be in you king tiger clubbing Shermans and T34s, the next you're fighting a conqueror.

11:24 it takes less time to load an entire person into the tank, than a shell into the breach
The T-10A would be so easy to fix rename it to the T-10B and give it the 2 plane stabilizer. Thus its a 7.7 Russian with a stabilizer but with downsides, such as mediocre mobility, armor, and penetration. Thus giving this thing a perfect contender against things like conquerors and Maus's. Because as it stands this thing is basically on par with the IS-6 and I would argue even worse since it has a giant weak lower plate.
Ah yes, the IS line, the punch monkey of heat yeets, where you're slow in all manners, your gun loves to non-pen things it should, and armour is useless.

Honestly I am suprised this tank doesn't face some sci fi tank from 2900 given how wild the tech spread is at this tier in War Thunder.

One thing i noticed with some rounds is that if you go into protection analysis the br 471b has better pen as it seems to negate some of the value of armour especially angles
@@MrPanzerCatYT russian guns have stupidly unrealistic angle performance. The IS2 can pen a jadgpanther at almost 4k frontally and it sits at 5.7. This game is a laughable joke

Love how the best battle pass reward is free and is still not really worth it because of BR and repair cost

I also want to say that i learned some spots on someemaps in warthunder wich made me better at the game before i started learning from your vids i had like 1-3 kills per battle (br 4.7) now i get 5-12 kills per battle (br 4.7) of course i get less or more sometimes.
-Vehicles i used- kw1 b ger, pz IV/70 (a), Pz kpfw churchill, Ta 154 -a, Ił 2 ger
I guess it's historically accurate that this tank became obsolete real fast.
Light tanks/cars are my main source of frustration in GRB. I use to love playing my heavies (Got a talisman and ground out the ace crew on my T95/black prince etc) and now not a game goes by where a light tank just ignores all my armour or is in our caps/spawn within seconds of the start of the match.

I personally have had majority amazing games playing in the t10A because even against apfsds you can bounce shots if they're snapshot'ing you which most tanks are barely getting stabilizers around that rank so tons of shots hit your egg turret and let you counter shoot them, and pranked your speed is decent enough to just be an armored support brawler

I have just unlocked this beast and i actually love it!
This same problem is occurring at 6.7 with the German heavies. The gap that grows between 7.0 and 8.0 is just insane.
Don't complain too loudly though, the last time we made a big deal about something like this Gaijin removed a bunch of tanks from the game instead of fixing the problem (RIP Maus and Tiger II 105).
Haven't touched my T10 in years, no reason to.
I just got this tank using gaijin coin today and it really isn't that bad in arcade.
I understand why people are disappointed if they got it from the battle pass and playing it in RB but this tank is actually very popular in arcade.
It plays like an is6 and with a repair cost of 790 and costing 12 GJN, it is a budget and noob friendly, low risk low reward tank that can research basically everything is the Russian tech tree.
While experience player will do better in other tanks, the low skill cap of the T10A makes it really good for new players and have no risk of losing SL at all.
Judge me for playing arcade and liking this tank but it is actually a good buy.
Huge silhouette, armor that nobody at its BR cares about and ammoracks for days.
Sounds like a textbook T-10 in War Thunder but with an even slower reload.

I would love a Heavy Tank game mode. Where you could play things like the Maus, this, and the couple dozen other early cold war steel beasts against their counterparts without having to deal with the issues of the tier system and it's inherent problems.

I know a couple guys who were tankers and scout cavalry.
There is a reason US military vehicles are fast.
At the National Training Center during war games a light mech company kicked the hell out of everything with Humvees with TOW missiles. They would attack from concealment and then run away at 85 miles an hour to reload and hide again.
After that they started to re evaluate heavy vehicles.

I had fun with it... in Arcade. Not sure I'd take it into realistic. I did get a glitch where the commander was killed by enemy 7.62 MG fire at one point though. Might have gone through the optics and ricochet down into him.

0:32 I once sent a 120mm round straight through the ammunition on a T-44-100 and it didn't explode, but a couple little pieces of shrapnel sends your turret into orbit

I remember when the T-10 was released. It was a bad dude! They really need to change the way they sort battle ratings. I agree with you, no need to carry around all that armor when almost anything on the field can pen you. Might as well go light and fast.

I got this tank today and only ran into 7.7 or lower tanks. Mostly tiger 2s and leopards. And I thought it performed very well. The gun could have better pen but if it goes in it one shots 99% of the time

This is my opinion : even if the T-10A was op, I would still focus on the W.I.N.T.E.R. operation to get the Class 3 ( P ) and some other decals and vehicles. Anyway, you can still buy the T-10A on the Gaijin market after the event.

a Conqueror video would be good with the Wyvern
If I get it, I will use it as a viable backup at higher BR, where many tanks side armor can be one hit by APHE.
Having an SL boster is always nice.
Strangely I think I'd prefer a Russian heavy to the Conqueror at that BR. I find that the 120mm APDS that the Conq fires tends to over-pen wildly and its slow reload means you don't get the opportunity for a follow up shot most of the time. At least the 122mm fires a shell with HE filler which gives a greater chance of a one shot kill if it penetrates.

Only one question, which bracket of simulator battle does this fall into? If it’s the Maus one this thing can still perform and actually pretty well, but if it’s the leopard one then forget it

@OddBawZ if Ebr 1954 is very good, at high br also, i recommand to gameplay the ebr at 6.7/7.7 ;)
I play the ebr and do some aces well. It's like amx 13 with not the apcbc, and mobility is still worth.
