- In this video I take the T32E1 out at 7.7 against some very scary opponents. The T32E1 in War Thunder is a Rank 5 US Heavy Tank that has the same cannon as the Super Pershing but at a much MUCH higher battle rating.
The reason for this is of course most opponents don't see them often so don't know where the weaknesses are and when this thing was introduced, it was at 7.0 which meant 6.0 vehicles had a really hard time taking it out.
The T32E1 is definitely not an easy vehicle to do well in, so I decided to limit myself to 3 matches in only this tank and just upload what happened no matter what.

120th try. Please play the T-80(light tank) or the T-28e in the USSR 2.3 br. They are fun and you have no videos on both tanks. The T-28e is in the folder of the T-28.
Another example of gaijin not letting a heavy be a heavy. They up the BR until the heavy is on equal terms of penetration with mediums but with the penalties of speed and mobility and guns (and in most cases, stabilization.) It takes away the one unique strength and makes them a struggle to play.
Gaijin not letting an AMERICAN heavy be a heavy. Most Russian and German tanks still get to bounce 5 out of every 6 shells that hit them.

Man, this thing at 7.0 was so good, with a awesome line up to back it up. Both T32's, M46, T95 and some early jets. Another sick US line up ruined by gaijin.

The heavy tank meta was the best time in WT for me. Now we have HEATFS slinging go-karts

How to forget when US mains were stomping people way before they could access the M103 which was another beast back in the days. That lineup had me screaming "broken piece of sh*t" when i was playing other nations knowing damn good i just had a marathon of 7 hours with that lineup.
Character development has not been in favor of US mains these past few years.
@Hyperborean Feelz it still shouldn't be 7.7 nor should it have twice the reload of a long 88 with such similar shell performance. Plus back in the day at 7.0 it would have been super op but probably not as much anymore considering what has been placed at 6.0+. Atleast move it to 7.3
The ac1 is soms Australian bias and literally a heavy tank that has 160mm of amour in some spots at 3.0

Edit: also if the vertical guidance speed is low on my tank, I won't have to get my barrel up and down and potentially get caught off-guard
13:04 considering that some of the planes dropped 2 or more bombs at once, it's fair to say you survived more like 10 bombs... and those typesof moments are why CAS is hated. if your roof armour is weak, they'll strafe you if the bombs dont land
And if not your turret roof, then your engine deck.
I still can't get over the fact that this is higher BR than a Leopard 1 and German Patton...

I'd like to see the MM be changed to +-0.7 instead of it's current +-1.0 BR intervals. I feel as though it's too much of a jump between generations of tanks, especially around 7.0 and 8.0 brackets.
That would be nice. One match you can face tigers and the next cold war go karts with thermals and apfsds, the power difference in those BRs is insane
I'd agree, mainly because if you took any 7.0 vehicle out you could face the IS-2 in one game and then the next game face the T-55A, which has 3BM-25 APFSDS with ~330 mm of pen and also has a HEAT-FS shell with ~390mm of penetration with the current +/-1.0 br intervals.
With the +/-0.7 intervals, you could face at least the IS-2(1944) and at most the T-54(1951)/T-54(1947) which does have APDS, but no APFSDS and at best HEAT-FS which itself doesn't deal as much damage as APFSDS and can be countered by composite or spaced armour. So yes, it makes a lot more sense to have a +/-0.7 interval instead of +/-1.0 interval.
I think this solution is too easy and makes too much sense for the snail to every use it :/

Ive been saying this to my squad buddies. You lay out the most obvious and true argument. When you get uptiered, you get uptierd hard and it makes 7.3 and up heavies honestly pointless bc heat alone. Why would you choose a slower vehicle with slower reloads over one with mobility if getting hit ends with the same results 😂
I’ll say it again: War Thunder will never improve unless a game comes along that poses a serious threat to their player base. If a game were to come out of the community that was built from the ground up to do the kinds of things that Gaijin has tried (poorly) to implement over the years, I think the health of the game would improve dramatically.
If GHPC keeps up with all the updates Gajin is in serious trouble! Even Modern Warfare is giving the Sail a run for it's money. It's with health points but still it's very fun to play. Anyway,GHPC will surpass Warthunder in no time if the devs' keep this up...

I Kinda dont know what you mean, the IS6 can easily be pen'd by DM13 for example, the T32 cant. Also the reload of the is 6 is longer and it has less pen. Still i have to agree the IS6 should be 7.3
@@dodolul9016 in my experience it cannot be penetrated by dm13 that easily, i play a lot with the leopard 1 and i have to use heat in order to pen its frontal plate, but yeah i think the apcr in the t32 its useful in some situations... the is6 is much faster though
I personally think that the is-6 should be moved up a little bit, and the t32E1 should be moved down slightly. Maybe 7.3 is the happy medium, 7.0 is a little low considering what it can fight.

I have been waiting for someone to play this tank! So glad that its getting shown off, not great in an uptier for obvious reasons but in a even tier or downtier its such a blast to play
Still feel like 7.7 is a bit much. It was horrendously OP at 7.0 but I think 7.3 is the happy medium
Not a blast to play at least in 2024 with all the new additions.
USA 7.7 is pure pain. 8.0 is a bit of breathing room but lately I've been getting uptiered to 9.0 and struggle playing USA. France 7.7 is also a struggle since most of the tanks use conventional rounds and no chemical rounds. The only saving grace about France is the autoloader and the 4 second reload on most 7.7 tanks. The AMX30 is nice with the heat round and the surbisse is great with the 120 round and 6 second reload. But Germany and Russia are tough to face at that BR. Maybe you can do a play through of USA 8.0 or France 7.7?
France at least has trolly armor, and insane reloads, on top of mobility. THEN you have PENETRATION to boot. The AMX M4 can chew through a MAUS turret from almost 1000km away, the T32 can’t even do that point BLANK. And Gaijin thinks it’s comparable to the MAUS. It just isn’t. Just like how Gaijin things a Sherman Jumbo is equivalent to a King Tiger…

You are right about map positioning, game knowledge and a little bit of luck being more important than how amazing your vehicle is.
Playing on maps I am unfamiliar with is just a bad time lol.
Playing 5.7 USA with friends last night I had to pause between matches and convince one of my friends who was getting frustrated (I shoot it does nothing, they shoot boom I am dead.. etc the usual lol).
Told them that when we are playing vehicles like the Sherman you need to play it like a Gremlin (be more patient, let things push corners instead of charging around after them, check your angles to see how visible you are to different parts of the map, etc), instead of charging bravely at the front. Their game results improved after that.
Half the US tech tree at ranks 3-5 have battle ratings that are just off the charts. This thing should be 7.3 max
The anti American bias in War Thunder is just as bad as the Russian and German bias.
@@guanyin19 america doesn't suffer bias as bad as you think. what they lack in tanks here, they gain in ridiculous CAS and usually dumb enemies. the real nations that face any sort of anti bias are minor nations.
@@shronkler1994 Those planes have been nerfed heavily. Compare American CAS to German/Soviet jets at 6.7-7.3. America doesn't have any sort of one-shot-kill planes like the others in question. American repairs are also miserable. It took Gaijin several years until they just recently made the 5.7 Corsair (a fucking prop fighter) not be 13k SL to repair, instead 7k. The F9F-8 at 8.3 is 21,000 to repair when it can;t turn, can't climb, guns suck for its BR, etc. 6.0-6.7 American props cost more than 8.0 German jets that beat them and every American plane at the BR with ease. The only reason CAS is redeeming for America is because the tanks are so horrible. A dung beetle would look appetizing if you haven't eaten in 2 weeks

Haven’t played WT in years but a 15 sec reload with a 90mm seems a little too excessive

So glad to see this. I love my T32s and while they can be fun to play tired of Gaijin messing with them like they did. got to play the T32E1 just be it and the T32 were pushed up to 7.3/7.7 and it was so fun to play. now as much anymore :"(
Both this tank and the regular T32 are fantastic heavy tanks! I have had some great games in both!
I’ve found it useful to use mg sight when shooting planes the turret rotating doesn’t mess with it and you main cannon doesn’t elevate
I sometimes like the way the XM-803 trolls shots from all the crew being up in the turret
also for some reason shells like the Maus's main gun just obliterate it in the hangar view but in-game the fuel tanks consistently eat shots from all sorts of rounds
Do you recommend XM-803/MBT-70? I've been on a fence about crewing any of the US tanks at that BR. My plan so far is to get a full 8.0 lineup and grind the 10.0 vehicles and then go from there.
Hangar view has pre volumetric physics i think. They didnt bother to update the hangar test fire physics

playing the brits is the most boring thing you can do. I jumped ship after getting to 7.7 but Low tier is still fun.

@@iftikarrot8034 the comet and such are amazingly fun. Everything after is disapointmemt. Except the conway. That level of lulpen and velocity is amazing. The fv4202 is also a good hull down sniper. It shows all the centurions wouldnt be far more enjoyable with a rangefinder.

This and similar tank designs have no place at 7.7 with the Leopard, Marders and BMP-1s at 7.3

Love your videos, but don't worry about having to "prove" your stats. Most of us have figured out you're a pretty honest guy and have a skill level that negates having to lie about your game play. The few that try to mouth off about you "cheating" won't care what proof you provide and are just trolls.

this when it was lower was the bane of my 6.0 lineups. i hated this thing. especially cause 6.0 back then didn't have many heat fs tanks.. and this thing was very very meta..
Idk why gaijin hates the US tech tree but as soon as more than one person does good in a vehicle they jack it up. Sad
gaijin doesn't hate the US tree. if anything, smaller non-big three trees like the UK or France are hated...
the US does suffer from the same problem they do, though (to a somewhat lesser extent) with relatively worse USSR and German players and Gaijin's dumb balancing methods...
so many german tanks in particular are way undertiered... a panther at 5.3? fr? meanwhile the closest things to a US equivalent sit at .7-1.0 BR above it.
that's all true, but the US does make up for it in CAS and some soft advantages over just hard stats that can give them the edge and allow them to succeed - and they do. I'd argue that where you see the US tree suffer the most is just in this 5.0-6.0 bracket, where they face many undertiered tanks with a stale variety of... just 76mm cannons save for the occasional 90mm (which should be able to UFP things like the panther)
Hey Bawz, I noticed that you have your USA tree divided into various BRs. Why is that?
I'm a returning War Thunder player with no idea or conception of the meta, good vehicles, bad vehicles, good BRs for this nation, bad BRs for that nation. Idk if you're interested in the idea but a video series breakdown of the best BRs to play for various nations and some good vehicle choices within them, (Or maybe throw in the odd-duck choice that can be good if you play it right?) I haven't played in earnest since 2014, so I'm basically re-learning everything.
As always, love the videos. Keep it up, and take breaks from the grind to maintain your sanity. Your videos can't be good if you aren't good. We'll be here. :)
How do you record your mic audio and game together I try to get it to work but I end up just doing a voice recording and the video recording and edit them together.
I use OBS and record the mic on a separate track. There's loads of tutorials I learned from! :)

The problem with the T 32 is that it always gets uptierd into matches where it can get penned by every enemy in the match through the mantlet and outmaneuvered due to its long reload
The fact that this thing is put at the same BR as the Maus with a higher repair cost is just lunacy

this tank was soooo OP when it was 7.0 it can stop a jadgtigher rounds from the front . I would say this tank had the best front amor during its 7.0 time . It has the smallest weak spots in the front .

I always get uptiered to 8.0+ and fight against ATGMs, fast wheelie boyos, and some APFSDS. Even just using the T95 alone and no other tanks in my lineup
And now 7.3 USA ground is bliss (imo) and it has the T32.

odd, could u try the kv-1e, it just got released again for 3,200 ge and i have noticed that A LOT of people are playing it, like 1-3 people per match.
Someone actually finally had the bawz (see what I did there?) to play this tank.
I just finished playing for tonight (it's now about 0800 here) and my teams tonight seemed to be more woeful than normal... Not looking at pings, not paying attention to surroundings or the mini map...
Makes it damn hard.
I've got similar problems. I pointed out a T-34-85 Gai behind my team spawn up by the church for a solid 5 mins and he killed about 14 of my teammates. I had to go up and try to deal with him myself and even then I couldn't seem to penetrate him no matter what I did (Panther D), he ate four shots to the hull with minimal damage

I got my first nuke in the t32e1 in a row tier the other day
I just unlocked the two Type 90's and had to grind them with stock HEAT FS against the TURMS swarms. You should try that, or a similar MBT if you've already ground those out
I think stock HEAT-FS just sucks at that tier, I just got to the Leo 2A5 and I'm not looking forward to grinding that tank or the 2A6 out. They're all I need to finish German ground so I can move on to a different Tech Tree. At least give something like DM-13
@@just_a_username8979 That or have it be a tier 1 unlock for a useable round. The types at least have a 4s reload so you can chew through all the ERA

I can get around not having a rangefinder and sometimes not having even NVG's but give me a round that I can do at least SOMETHING with aside from tickle ERA and get volumetric'd or ghost shelled when I aim for a turret neck or barrel (had a lot of the barrel ghost shells recently and nonpens on a 2A4 side with darts)

Just another example of why gaijin needs to completely redo the BR brackets and decompress them.
It's crazy the amount of people who don't just have machine gun bound to its own key so you don't traverse the turret and mess up your aim...
I just wonder what would've happened if these heavy monsters made into combat, t32s, t29s, t34s, t30..... Next to impervious frontal armor and a terrifying amount of firepower. What chance would any enemy tank stand against a 155mm gun that isn't a derp howitzer and can also rotate?! These tanks would've been terrifying to face. Awesome video as always Odd, have a good one!

What would be really cool is if a nuke is dropped on a map, it is taken out of rotation for a period of time
No? Because nukes happen in like 1 in 20 games at 9.7 and it would mean there would be no maps

Gaijin: Light tanks need strong guns and lower BRs so they can pen everything frontally and because they have weak armor!
Also Gaijin: This slow, but well armored tank needs to be at a BR where almost everything can lolpen it. Oh its main gun is dogshit? Well cry me a river.
maybe this is more of personal experience, but unless you're in 8.3 territory and most of the tanks are 8.3s then... you won't face too many tanks that can pen you easily, especially if you angle right
@@shronkler1994 7.3, Leopard Is, T-54s, BMPs, etc. can all pen the T32 frontally. 7.7, Maus can pen it frontally and you can only side pen the Maus in one small spot. 8.0, no explanation needed. 8.3, no explanation needed. 8.7, Leopard A1A1s, TAM 2s, etc, all melt your frontal armor.

They need to down BR the Jumbo 76, I feel bad anytime I see one on the enemy team. And even worse when I go through their ufp

@@just_a_username8979 exactly. Compare to panther A. Panther has better gun, can pen front plate jumbo but is immune from 76mm and a trolly mantle
@@SenileAt28 can attest to it's trolly mantle but I don't think it can ufp a Jumbo, you still have to aim for the machine guns port (at least I've never been able to ufp a Jumbo with it) without aiming for that weak spot (which is just don't out of habit anymore)
