Funny that you mentioned Wendy’s. I ALWAYS start my shift next to a Wendy’s. Those orders pay better, Wendy’s employees are ALWAYS helpful and courteous, and they’re efficient. I always get $11-$12 to go 3-4 miles. Once I got $13 to drive 0.5 miles total. 👍🏼 Be picky, it’ll work out for you in the end.
if anyone orders food using DoorDash, please tip cash since DD steals drivers' tip money.... i had so many customer tell me they tipped well over $10 but I got pay less than $10.
Door Dash is stealing tips. I had a customer show me she tipped $20 and DD gave me $9. I was on time to the merchant and her house. This is why they can’t keep drivers.
Just some info from a Dasher: my app glitched out as I arrived at a merchant to pick up an order. I could not get back into the app so I had no way of knowing who ordered, address, etc. I had to drive home, then called Doordash to have the order reassigned so the customer could get their order. I asked if I could be compensated for driving 5 miles to pick up the order, and Doordash said, no. We're on our own out there!
Deadhead spots are ridiculous. It infuriates me when I agree to dash in a 4$ bonus area, then the app sends me to a 7$ bonus area. DD needs to do better at making sure people are staying in the area they agreed to work in.
Good info. I've noticed lately that like you said, they make it harder to get out after a delivery when there's a bonus on the line. I hit the pause, and the pause screen will show up for about a second, and then an order will pop up. I've noticed they'll override pause status at times. They are so quick at that than even with hitting pause I'm getting an order 40% of the time. Sometimes I won't take that second order, such as if it's too far or if I've already accepted a good order somewhere else. So even with the per order bonus, you have to determine whether it's a reasonable amount even without that bonus.
I agree 100% and will be touching on this in more detail in a part 2 to this video. 18 minutes was already long enough, but I’ll definitely be touching on if these are always worth chasing or not. Often I do better by cherry picking and letting the +$1-$2 more go. Less stress and I can still do very well while everyone else chases anything and everything. I often watch what everyone else is doing, then pivot and do the complete opposite. That strategy always helped me crush Rideshare!!
Here's a lesson I learned today with the doordash app. I'm new to this hustle. The lesson was if I accept more than one order before delivering them. That I should pay more attention to two both of the pick up and drop off areas to drive even fewer miles without as much back tracking. Because I realized once I confirmed my arrival at the first pick up area with my android phone, I had no other choice but to complete that delivery order first before I could see again, but this time the other drop off address when I confirm I'm at the pick up area or before I get there.
So far most of the orders over got where on the complete opposite side of town of the hotspot. I haven't yet had any orders near the hotspot. Not saying it a bad location ur near alot of food places. Right beside a McDonalds but harder redrawn steak Chinese and mexican restaurant all right there but all of mine was a one of those. Although it might have more to do with they just started I. My town.
I have A 4.50 I don't care if a doordash drive becauseI don't have the right kind of car for that Kia SOUL 💪 because I have a ice chest a Pizza bag then I carry other stuff like utensils napkins and working on having styrofoam cups so with the restaurant don't want to give you I got you and I want to make sure the customer is 100% happy!
I WISH pause worked as efficiently as Coach Jake says. I've gotten two (count 'em) two orders come through AFTER I hit pause. I've had 1200 deliveries (and counting) and LOVE doordashing. If your rating is high, you can become a privileged driver and you won't have to schedule at all. You will be able to dash anytime, anywhere (and they add "even if it's not busy") As a super dasher, they will send orders to you instead of the newer dashers so it pays even if it's "not busy". Every month they review your rating and, if it is good, you will maintain that status. Fall below their customer rating (I think it has to be 4.8 but I'm not sure) and you'll be able to schedule in advance but won't be able to dash anytime. Happy dashing to you all!
Awesome and informative vid. I didn't really think about the $1 per mile standard (that you've set as a bar) when I was doing my DASHES. I'll have to keep that in mind.
See- I will go to a resturant and have to wait for the order, even tho I am on time. Then because the food isn’t ready - My on time is 86% - wtf... any tips?
Maybe a few minutes after the order has been placed call the restaurant maybe talk to a manager, explain the situation and make sure they have the food ready by the time it's supposed to be
I got 2908 deliveries and I'm consistently at 98 percent what I do is if its 5 minutes late I call them immediately bitch and bitch and bitch i do feel at times I quite loud and blunt but u kinda have to be were jot their employees
Barbellsnbabies716 I’m still new at this, but checking the order and contacting cust via text seems to slow me down. Next time I go out I will call and if they look like they are in an apartment, I will get clarity about where they are in the complex.
So I have a question for other dashers. I am a well seasoned dasher with an official delivery completion # almost 3000 but unofficially its a little bigger. So having several close friendz whom also are dashers therefore we co tinually compete in every financial stat u can measure . ive noticed that every one of us when u.view the details of our pay for that on every one of us is always proportioned the same 2/3 s DD delivery pay 1/3tips. I know exactly what the official pay model is but im beginning to think that this is the unoficial pay plan and when i say plan instead of model im. Hinting at the word predetermined. I have had weeks where i have had 50$ tips with several 20$ as well and would assume that several large tips would tip the scale but no. Still the same proportioned pay.
These are some great tips! I noticed that this time around, you can check for if there are any promos ahead time on Doordash now. It definitely helps since you can check a day or two ahead of time to see if Doordash will be offering extra money per delivery for your area.
..remember too that since we’re independent contractors we can write off netflix, cell phone, gas, car insurance bills on our year end taxes😉 keep those receipts, bills & keep track of your mileage!! (especially since we’re putting wear & tear on our vehicles from miles. we get up to an extra $7.50 during busy times (on top of average $7 pay) in phoenix/glendale arizona👍🏼
I bought my modest little car in 2017 (for my day job) and will be paying it off years early due to this... more cash in my pocket and lowers my tax bill with the tax write offs because my day salary is high.
Very nice breakdown of how to maximize your time and money Jake, I can't tell you how many times I have lost my peak pay bonus trying to end my dash and they flood me with offers before I can "end dash". It sucks but I've kind of gone away from chasing the bonuses, and just pick orders that make sense. Like you said, sometimes it's hard to get back on with dash now if your area is gray. As always thanks for sharing with all of us, looking forward to the next video. :D
Yeah, if the bonus is like $1-$2 extra I don't worry about the bonus and still cherry pick away. I know more dashers will be taking anything and everything, which will leave more of those higher paying offers out there to snag.
@@GigCoachJake hi Jake! Great tips! So I'm always chasing the bonus, did one yesterday, but the distance to merchants was soooooo far, I ended up with a low AR and of course no bonus. I was so upset. So your advice is to grab at least two orders, then END DASH then start again?
here is what I do to make around 100 a day. I schedule ahead. take every offer (I live on a state border and zones don't cross state boreder but I have driving across the bridge, those I decline). start as early as possible. get off at 2. get on around 5 (my areas dead time) get off at 9. I do this Fri sat sun when the bonus are high and I don't hate to work hard because I go to the mall, eat, go to the park.
I would NEVER suggest to anyone to accept all offers that come in. You’re relying on chance and luck, with NO control over your destiny. Work smarter!!
I got a lot of $100 orders and they dont tip. Its very discouraging. You know its funny when a person tip (cash) when his rents is high. Compare to a house that has tesla and bens parked outside.
DoorDash app always bugs out. I was working peak hours only and I had accepted 4 of the orders but had denied 1. I finish my last order that passed the scheduled time that I had and the app didn’t clock me out but proceeded to offer me a super far delivery that would of taken me an 50 min to do for only $6. The app sometimes doesn’t clock me out but also doesn’t let me manually end my dash at times.
I think Doordash changed the way they greyed out areas. Since the New Years No schedules have been available and Dash Now is not an option. in any of the 5 regions in the Jersey Shore. area. I figured great saturation has happened. But I was surprised because it was actually busy the laast 2 days. Maybe they are doing this to stop the End Dash for the bonus promotion. ..... or maybe im just smarter than other drivers who knows lol.
Same here in Texas too. Grayed out areas. Its like they cut the hours. I used to be able to dash at 10:30 for lunch. Now its gray until 11:30. Dinner used to start at 4:30 last night my area wasnt available until 6:30. Also areas will turn pink then go gray like 3 minutes later. Too many dashers. I think Im going to switch platforms. Cutting hours and too hard to dash.
Here in Bellevue Washington when there is a bonus pay on DD you have to have at least 80% acceptance in order to receive the bonus.IdK if you have to have the 80% acceptance during the bonus hours or the total acceptance rating. In any way idk if itxs ok to decline many offers if the bonus is given to you only if you have that high acceptance rate.
Not sure if it's just in my area, but I've noticed I get more delivery opportunities if I schedule shifts at least 24 hours in advance vs hitting the dash now button. This of course could just be a coincidence. It is something I've noticed though. Even when I end and start my shift after each delivery. The day's I schedule seem to be better. Anyone else tested or noticed this?
Can u explain the on time and early rating? I'm always early for pickup and Alot of times I have to wait and my rating for that is 85%. It should be much higher than that. Everything else is high but that
DD will give you 2-3 orders at the same time, but your time doesn’t increase. I’ve been late on every multiple delivery but because of the stacked delivery the money is better.
I know what you mean. I use to accept 3 or more stacked orders because I could maximize my money🤑💸💵💴💶💰💳. But like you said the delivery time doesn't change so you can make it on time to the customers.😭. Now I don't take no more than 2 but sometimes even on 2 stacked orders the pick up times on those be terrible. They would send them to me 3-5mins before the actual pick up time. 👎
Pause and end doesn't work a lot of times... I've been doing it lately even to take a break for dinner and Orders are still coming through... It happened twice just last night (April 19 2018)
Very informative video, thank you, however it didn't show me what I came here to find. I saw another DD driver show me the very detailed breakdown of each delivery he had done but I cannot find a way to view that. Can someone please help me?
@@GigCoachJake Found it. Thanks! I'm in Tucson btw and sometimes go up to Phx to do massages, fun stuff and now maybe some Dashing or whatever other apps. Thanks for your videos!
Hi Jake, I just became a dasher i received my kit today. I live in phoenix as well and I would love to ask you questions. 1) what is the best mount for my phone in the car 2) this is a 2 parter a) can you still dash if you havent set up a schedule b) when you do make a schedule which i see most are about 2 hours can you work over the 2 hours? 3) what are some good areas in the central phoenix for hot spots? Thank you in advance! I have to admit im a little nervous
The magnetic mounts are the best! I got mine at Target, and there’s tons on Amazon for cheaper. You cannot dash within 30 minutes of a scheduled dash, which limits you, and they will ask if you want to extend when it’s almost over, if the demand is higher. DoorDash has the hotspots listed on their app already and are current to the demand at that time.
@Joseph Monteiro In my area you just get the red credit card. You can start right away after you activate it in the app. They send instructions too. After your first order is complete. They will mail you the hot bag for free.
I have a feeling they will make the acceptance rating more of an issue at some point. People are waiting too long for their food and they're getting angry.
I scheduled a dash yesterday for today and started it early, left it on for less than 30 mins with no orders. I decided to end it and start my second shift later. But I deleted that one because people said pay might increased when there are less scheduled workers and then they blocked me out from working during that time!?
Yeah once you go off for the day you sometimes can't get back in. Just look on the app and see if it's pink. If not just wait. I find ppl hungry around 4 pm to midnight Fridays weekends and Mondays. Also check Tuesday and Thursday afternoon 1 pm to 5 pm ppl get their food stamp card filled so sit next to a Walmart. I got a huge order on Monday (96 items) from Walmart drive was 8 miles out. DD gave $15.96 and customer gave $20 cash tip. I'm sitting next to Walmart now! Yay
The best thing about Doordash is in My market its the main Delivery APP no Grubhub. This means everyone declines UberEats Orders cause they pay crap... Well Ubereats has a problem getting orders filled so. The boost is now 2.5x to 3.0x....
This was still a good edutainment video. My only constructive criticism about it is Jake didn't mention how doordash will penalize you by not sending you big order earnings or no sent orders at all if you decline any orders. I'm sure they secretly got that rule in their custom built algorithm for their own benefit.
@@GigCoachJake If it's not true it's because you are the except because your not a newbie and have made doordash a lot more money compared to someone new who started that hasn't earned them any money.
Hmm they pay out higher for the fast food orders? Because on Tuesday I made a whopping 5.80 for a Wendy's order and another Wendy's order I did today was an amazing 6.31
only take orders with doordash that are close, you will get paid the same regardless of distance, since the tip is a facade making you think you are making money, when really they pay you the same if the customer doesn't tip.
I've never had a final payout higher than the guaranteed payout amount shown when you unusually accept the offer. I've also had customers say they tipped a certain amount in the app, but the top shown in the app was significantly lower.
If their tip plus $1 doesn't match what your final payout is, then have them share info with you in the form of screenshots so you have proof of this obvious theft for a potential lawsuit against them later. Otherwise there's nothing we can do about it.
@@GigCoachJake I'm,certain that the attorney general or THE FBI can conduct an investigation. Someone can always do something. If you talk to enough people you start a fire somewhere.
Believe that I’m speaking to people aside from here and starting fires all over the place to spark some positive change for drivers. Had an on the record phone interview today with a journalist in SF as a matter of fact about DD and their antics. He speaks to a DD rep tomorrow.
I used to see the extra doller but now I will get one order outside of my scheduled zone . Then I reject and lost all or like today it was extra doller and I got order and I was trying to accept i got message saying unfortunately that order has been canceled
How can anyone make any damn money when you constantly have to watch an app and wait for a small window of opportunity to open nearby and "maybe" - "MAYBE" get an order? I keep getting DD texts telling me it's busy 20-40 miles away. DD thinks I'm going to drive 40 miles and maybe not get work? WTF type of screwed up system of employment is this? With Uber Eats you tap the GO button from where ever you are at any moment that you dedire and that's it.
If you know that you dash in a Zone where you know there are a lot of drivers. DO NOT PAUSE & END. You will run the risk of someone else taking your time slot. I personally can only schedule my dashes ahead of time due to the fact that my Zone is almost always grey, with no opportunities for a Dash now option. Even when I’m scheduling and see a perfect time, I typically only have 3-5 seconds before somebody else snatches it. Question: Does anyone know a time that Doordash releases timeslots for the next week? Everytime I check at midnight for the new day timeslots, most of them are already taken.
Hi Jake. Thanks for sharing. I'm still fairly new to DoorDash. I haven't completed over 50 deliveries yet but I do have concerns. I do cherry pick, and I get my orders to the customer early or on time. Food always hot and I check for missing items. I communicate with the customer if I arrive at the restaurant and the food isn't ready and I still get those orders to them early or on time. Never late. I'm courteous to the customer when greeting and leaving yet my rating from the customer s is at a 4.07. I don't know why this is. My completion rating is 100%. I don't want to be deactivated over a customer rating below 4.5 once I reach the 100 deliveries. Not sure what you can recommend but I appreciate any other suggestions you have besides what you've already shared.
Send a short text of some sort prompting them to close the app and rate you so you can stay on the road. Most good ratings go unrated often, while those who are unhappy for whatever reason will rate. Then you have those scamming for free food. It's a tough system, but I've found texts after drop off to be best in order to get those 5 stars to go rate me.
I hope you enjoy your meal! Afterwards, please take a moment to rate me as your driver by opening your previous orders. I hope I was able to meet your expectations and earn a 5 star rating! :) * Please note: the rating you provide should only be based on my service of picking up/delivering your food. If there are any issues with the way your order was prepared please contact customer care @ 6506819470 * What I do is copy this to my clipboard on my phone and after I hand them the food, I hit text customer and send them this. Before I swipe delivered. I have seen my ratings soar back up to 4.9 Hope this helps good luck out there :)
@@tp7848 Just sharing the love man, I think I picked it up from a reddit thread a few months ago. It really has made a difference, some customers even reply back with "5" long after Im done with the delivery :)
I also like to text them when I leave the merchant to let them know I'm on the way, and to double check that the delivery address provided is correct, along with specific instructions that may have been left out to ensure quick and accurate delivery.
Thank you all for your suggestions. I'm definitely going to try those and see how that works out 😁 Update: The suggestions worked. My ratings are already improving😊
Me and my friend did an experiment ,where I took his doordash order and he tipped me 8 dollars ,but doordash gave me 6 dollars for the order instead ,,sooo it's a scam basically
I wish you would have recorded and documented all of this! I could have turned it over to a lawyer and got a case started. We need EVIDENCE of them doing this and we can fry them up for doing so!!!!
Wow not cool. They need to be reported! I had a customer ask me yesterday if I was getting all my tips. I told him I wasn't exactly sure, being a new dasher. He wanted to make sure I got my money so he tipped me in cash! Some customers are so awesome!

I just started door dashing. Overall its easy money. I'm still trying to figure out the ins and outs of it. What should we do about the fast food places that put a sticker on the bag to close it? I want to make sure the order is correct but I do not want to RIP open their food. I'd like to know what do you do if the customer opens the food order in front of you and they are missing an item?
Let them know they have to contact customer care to address the issue. You’re just a delivery person and do not handle or prepare food. They will be pissed of course, but it isn’t our responsibility to fix the problem. That’s what customer care is for.
I stop and start dashes so often that I'm able to see the breakdown of most I've done, but you're right they're anything but consistent, fair, or transparent. Reminds me of things Uber has done over the years. All of these apps have their pros and cons. Unfortunately, the owners of DD don't seem to care about drivers whatsoever.
Gig Coach Unfortunately uber eats is doing to the food delivery business what it did to the cab business and that is bring the price to the driver down.Doordash use to be the best app when I first started driving three years ago but know everyone trying to compete with uber to make it as cheap as possible for the costermer.
I agree that they're trying to do the same, but they're not the lead dog like they are in Rideshare with GrubHub already a profitable gig company traded publicly already. Yes, they will continue to do so but they don't have the same stronghold on the market like with Uber. They're too far behind and lack quality of service, not to mention the bad stigma from Uber with all of their bad publicity. DoorDash is taking pages out of their book and trying to do the same but they can't retain drivers, which leads to decreased quality of service. When they run out of investor $$, then what?? GrubHub is doing the right things by spending on marketing right now. Partnering with Taco Bell(HUGE GENERAL PUBLIC FAVORITE) and KFC have proven to be great choices thus far. Burger King hasn't been a bad partnership either, and another one to compete with UberEats push.
Gig Coach Jake Doordash I believe will have to change the pay for the drivers. The Doordash orders in my city are sitting at the resterant to long.I had multiple resterants tell me that.I see them raising the payout to three or four tips. They need to compete with Grubhub or most drivers will eventually stop driving for them.
They're definitely going to have to make a change, because their referrals and $/delivery promos won't help them beat out the competition like GrubHub.
I've been driving around with a 4.48 Rating for a little over 3 months and still working it....however I do except all my orders and afficiantly so that might balancing it out, at least I believe so...Customer Ratings you have no control over..including on time, why?? because Doordash will give the order to the resturant after you receive it...so you'll be waiting at the resturant for the most part..I'm on to there game, but ain't worth the stress..Personally I would prefer getting paid by the hour then by the order...I want to go out put my 6-8 hours in and go home, and know what I'll be getting every day Slow or Busy....I hate when I'm up $50 in 2-3 hours and they slow down the orders..It's Bull!!!!!
My red card does not work at McDonalds or Taco Bell. For now I’ve been “unassigning” myself. Who do I talk to about getting a new red card. The agents can’t help me.
i doordash and many times i've gotten 0 tips for going out of the way to deliver to customers boyfriends and girlfriends with missing street names or no numbers on their apartment or mail box. ugh i hated that
Over here I only get $6 orders (maybe because I have only one 25 orders so far) but I am not too upset because I am close to alot of restaurants as I am like half a mile from downtown
My area has +2 for 2 hours. I log on for the 2 hours +2 red area no orders are sent to me. Not sure why all my ratings are good. It's always like this in Alaska. Don't even know whys there's a +2 of no one's needed
Oh and as soon as the time frame for the +2 ends is when orders start coming but they leave the +2 up hours after to make you think your getting the incentive but then they tell you no because you didn't accept the order with in the time frame, they just falsely keep the advertisement up so if you don't double check you get screwed.
Just take everything that you are given and be professional on both ends. You will consistently make money and it will all balance out in the end. DoorDash does not like or need cherry pickers. They have orders they need covered. You risk being skipped over by cherry picking. Ending your dash takes as much time as pausing. Unnecessary step to pause and then end. Dash now is no guarantee that you will get to dash. Just schedule and stick to your commitment. Simple. Grubhub sucks with there guarantee of $10.00 they send you to the restaurants that nobody wants. Refer a friend is a joke. It takes away from those working full time. People are into it just for the $1,500 and after that they leave. Poor business tactics. That is not how you retain good drivers. The market is being over saturated with drivers. Just schedule your work and work your schedule very simple and you will make money consistently.
Sounds to me you’re suggesting everyone act like good employees, bend over and take the almighty DD shaft ha?? Welp, that’s not how I operate, nor will I EVER suggest anyone else work as you suggest. You do realize we’re independent contractors right? Accepting every offer and working schedule is THE WORST PLAN!!!!!
That's the beauty of technology! I have to slow down my normal pace of talking because people would complain I talk or go too fast when explaining....lol!! Thanks for the feedback
I doordashed in Tulsa Oklahoma for 2 weeks and I would say that the average is 60 or 70 cents per mile. Never ever saw a 1.50/mile but maybe it's because I was new and dash didn't sent me the good orders. Any ideas?

I always go to Wendy also Taco ball I always place order and I late one hours with drop off they only pay me 6.50 they never even pay extra one cent. Blah blah blah blah blah?? Time out game over!!!?
15:21 In my opinion getting that extra money with referrals isn't such a good idea in the long term game. Why? Because you then would have more competition. Which means less money for you when doordash then divides the pie to all it's drivers. There is now 7.8 billion people in the world and growing.

@@GigCoachJake Why do you suppose doordash has a fast moving revolving door when grubhub doesn't? I have my own theory. I'm still on grubhub's waiting list because they already have enough drivers in my area.

If you are referring to pause, it can last your whole dash or until you choose to turn off. As for signing in and out you don’t get a higher bonus but you at least get your bonus right away. This gives me greater flexibility to cherry pick orders or refuse orders and I won’t lose my bonus
@@justalex6301 pls explain the bonus, again I'm new. I hear folks talking about Cherry picking and pausing for higher rides and bonuses. How do they do this? Walk me thru, I want to be down too 😀
The referral bonus is a scam. Doordash will find every excuse in the book not to pay the referral bonus. I know first hand. Doordash claims you will make $23 an hour when in reality you'll make $10 an hour. One of the reasons for this is that Doordash is in fact stealing tips from drivers, which makes it impossible to make a living with Doordash. It's one scam after another with this company.

Wendy’s is the easiest as well! Just cruise through the drive thru :) always a good payout !

DD needs to do better at making sure people are staying in the area they agreed to work in.
or give you the $7.00 bonus since you delivered to that area.
I agree
Can u explain the pause feature. I'm new starting tomorrow. What is pause, how that works with bonuses
Why does it feel like you need to be near a hot spot to get anything. Then you get there, tells you to g ok back where you just came from?
I get most of my work no where near hotspots. In fact when i'm near hotspots that's when I find myself sitting and waiting for 20 to 30 minutes.
My town.
Going to hotspots is a rookie mistake, just stay by where a lot of places are
Stephanie hahaha... That happened to me last night wasting my gas
Stephane Jarrin I get orders when I walk into my driveway from the house, I’m about 4 miles from a hotspot so I sit at home until I get an order
My On time arrival in Brooklyn, New York is 67% and I have been doing U-turns and speeding through RED LIGHTS!
Ma man. I'm in a tight situation so this helps a lot as I'm looking for ways to make income while I can schedule my own time to study.
I live right next to a shit ton of food places, so I just sit in my house and get orders! :D
Same. I live within two miles of every restaurant in town.
Then because the food isn’t ready -
My on time is 86% - wtf...
Thanks! Newer video shows updates with promos tab and ability to see ahead of time, once released. Will have a lot more updated videos soon!
They are being sued because they are keeping some of the drivers tips. Fkrs
..remember too that since we’re independent contractors we can write off netflix, cell phone, gas, car insurance bills on our year end taxes😉 keep those receipts, bills & keep track of your mileage!!
You cant write off Netflix geeze
Thanks Coach! I appreciate the time you took to make this video for rookie dashers!👌🏾✌🏾👍🏾🙏🏾
I'll have to do a part 2, branching off more on this first one I did.
Gig Coach Jake my area is not even 15 miles wide so I take all
I got a lot of $100 orders and they dont tip.
Yeah, my fiance' has been having a hard time scheduling. When I was dashing it was really good but I stopped in December.
@Dawn Woody-Poitra agreed. It needs to be more transparent.
i live in the litchfield bunch of restaurants around i start at home and just take off when i get a order
I'm new. Can u explain to me the pause end tip. Have no clue what u mean. I'mma start Dashing on Thursday
Everything else is high but that
K C me too!!!
Mine has been stuck in 88%. For a year
DD will give you 2-3 orders at the same time, but your time doesn’t increase.
If you’re on iOS you probably don’t have that feature yet is all. I’ve covered this in other recent DD videos.
@@GigCoachJake Thanks Jake. I'm using my iPhone to look for it. Could I get the link to your previous video that covers that please?
ua-cam.com/video/oPvADpznH8M/v-deo.html
@@GigCoachJake Found it. Thanks! I'm in Tucson btw and sometimes go up to Phx to do massages, fun stuff and now maybe some Dashing or whatever other apps. Thanks for your videos!
Hi Jake, I just became a dasher i received my kit today. I live in phoenix as well and I would love to ask you questions.
1) what is the best mount for my phone in the car
2) this is a 2 parter a) can you still dash if you havent set up a schedule b) when you do make a schedule which i see most are about 2 hours can you work over the 2 hours?
3) what are some good areas in the central phoenix for hot spots?
Thank you in advance! I have to admit im a little nervous
Get the magnetic mount. I got one from Wal-Mart for 5 dollars. You can pull your phone off quickly. Then snap it right back on.
Watch his video alot of questions snswered
I have a feeling they will make the acceptance rating more of an issue at some point. People are waiting too long for their food and they're getting angry.
Yes, man. It will probably be DD stealing tips.
Because that’s not true. I reject offers until they look better and I’ll even do a ride along video next week to prove what you say above isn’t true.
@@GigCoachJake If it's not true it's because you are the except because your not a newbie and have made doordash a lot more money compared to someone new who started that hasn't earned them any money.
I be dashing through the snow. 🤦♂️🤷♂️. They sometimes give 7 dollars in certain areas. I was loving it. Lol
j m LOL
Lydia M 😭😂🤦♂️ i say certain funny shit.
Also I have a Ford 2012, so it takes 20$ to get 260 miles, so I don’t mind taking any order unless it’s under 5 dollars, then it’s not worth taking
Thanks for your tips! I have been doing door dash and postmates. Definitely going to sign up for grub hub.

I'm,certain that the attorney general or THE FBI can conduct an investigation.
Are DD orders offered first to the driver physically closest to the restaurant at the time the order goes out?
Closest driver usually
Thanks gonna try Ubereats soon! I'm annoyed with DD sending me to multiple hotspots with no orders!!
You touched on every point perfectly.
Is this Randy Orton??
* Please note: the rating you provide should only be based on my service of picking up/delivering your food. If there are any issues with the way your order was prepared please contact customer care @ 6506819470 *
What I do is copy this to my clipboard on my phone and after I hand them the food, I hit text customer and send them this.
I'm definitely going to try those and see how that works out 😁
Update: The suggestions worked. My ratings are already improving😊
My DD app looks totally different than yours. It does not show me any extra dollar amount at all. Thank you for the videos ... super helpful!
How about a no fly zone for unsafe neighborhoods? You don't want to find yourself in a unsafe part of a city where you might get shot or stabbed.

You’re an Independent Contractor 🤷♂️😉
Acceptance doesn't matter man your not obligated all that matters is completion and ratings
Wendy's in A2 was horrible with my DD order today. Never doing a DD order from that particular Wendy's again!
Sometimes you don’t get boost when placing the orders.I wish Doordash would break down the pay but they refuse to be transparent
If it's a slow day and you qualify door dash pays the difference
Happened to me today....I was up $45 in 3 hours then they slowed my shit down......so I had to run Postmates to keep the money coming smh
Accept everything? They send me offers over 25 miles away for less than 10 dollars every other order in my area.
Good info but I had to increase the speed 2x, lol
That's the beauty of technology! I have to slow down my normal pace of talking because people would complain I talk or go too fast when explaining....lol!! Thanks for the feedback

I doordashed in Tulsa Oklahoma for 2 weeks and I would say that the average is 60 or 70 cents per mile. Never ever saw a 1.50/mile but maybe it's because I was new and dash didn't sent me the good orders. Any ideas?
Today was my first day and it went Fantabulous because i Earned $120 in 5:30 mins. And i Rejected 10 orders of Cactus club because I didn’t have a red bag or it could be around $250
Get a cheap bag on Amazon!!
I'm a dd driver ok say you were going to pic up a order an you pic it up an you get in the car an slide says you pic it up an yr headed to there house an before you get there with the item they cancel it an do you still delvery the item or what do you do
Because last nite I pic up the item an I paid with the red card an I went out the door the restaurant closed the doors meaning they lock there doors ok I got in the car ani try to slide it an it wouldnt slide then I get a text saying customer cancel the order well it froze my app up
I have over 100 delivers and 90% of them are around 4.50 I must be doing something wrong..
You would definitely benefit from my coaching/consulting since you’re in my market. If you’re interested shoot me an email at gigcoachjake@gmail.com.
Can you write off dead head miles on taxes?
write off extra gas
Yes that's not personal use. Just use an app that tracks your miles and leave it on, that's what I do.
so what is the best way to make money
When you decline an offer does it goes against you
Yes
Kimberly Pruitt how can I do more then 1 driving app . DoorDash May come up when I’m on another call
See video gives answer
@@kimberlyosborne5680 no. See video
@@donnaann5989 pause doordash while ur on another order
our Wendys is really slow a 30 min wait. would it hurt us to decline and would that hurt our dashing.
Decline their offers every time then and it won’t hurt your income or active status.
Do uber eats while you wait. Places like McDonald's only delivery local (within mins) so you could do that and come back.
Thanks Jake. Great tips!
Haven't seen any new videos from you lately did any one ever get that survey doordash was supposed to be doing
Do you have to be at The same area to finish the Referral bonus
I always go to Wendy also Taco ball I always place order and I late one hours with drop off they only pay me 6.50 they never even pay extra one cent. Blah blah blah blah blah?? Time out game over!!!?
I'm getting my license soon, and I'm 19 can I do door dash with out driving experience??????
U can apply at pizza place
How do you re-assignn an order on Door Dash?
Do you drive for Postmates too
Rarely, but I’ll have a video on increasing tips soon.
I'm rocking in the 4.2 rating zone lol
15:21 In my opinion getting that extra money with referrals isn't such a good idea in the long term game. Why? Because you then would have more competition. Which means less money for you when doordash then divides the pie to all it's drivers. There is now 7.8 billion people in the world and growing.
Hasn’t ever hurt my earnings since DoorDash is such a fast moving, revolving door. Plenty of attrition!!
@@GigCoachJake It's not that busy in my experience living in Richmond,VA.

@@GigCoachJake Why do you suppose doordash has a fast moving revolving door when grubhub doesn't? I have my own theory. I'm still on grubhub's waiting list because they already have enough drivers in my area.
If I schedule my Dasher Time for say 6-11pm, can I actually do 630 or 7-11? I get off my regular job at 630pm and can't start right at 6pm. I'm new and will start driving this week so need a lil hrlp
You can start dash at 5:45 and then pause until you are ready. Also you can edit you schedule before your dash
@@justalex6301 how long does the pads last? Also, how does this trick of pausing then signing back on to get higher bonus work.
Walk me thru, I want to be down too 😀
How do I keep from accepting apartment orders...they're killing my time rating
Get to know the location and if it's a apartment don't accept the order.
Just signed up using your referral link :)

What market are you in brother Jake?

The referral bonus is a scam. Doordash will find every excuse in the book not to pay the referral bonus. I know first hand. Doordash claims you will make $23 an hour when in reality you'll make $10 an hour. One of the reasons for this is that Doordash is in fact stealing tips from drivers, which makes it impossible to make a living with Doordash. It's one scam after another with this company.
Thanks Jake. Great tips.
