I honestly never understood why Scarlet would be able to handle a martial artist like Tifa's kind of slaps. Especially since her thing is fighting with machines.
I learned that trick myself and did that for nearly every match starting with and after the Moogle fight. I know I suck at this but the speed of enemy attacks and the difficulty reading them was giving me a headache.
if you struggle with the 3d brawler mini-game, just pause the game when the enemy charges the attack, prepare the correct counter attack and resume the game
Just did this last night ._. did it immediatly after the ultimate party animal quest and it took forever! Was up till 2 learning Sephiroth's body movements and groaning when he did the uppercut rage combo T-T. That last combo too! I was so conditioned to do the up left right up down but didn't know that he was going to do a extra up and then down. Needless to say it was satisfying hitting Sephiroth with the cross punch lol.
I am very proud of this one. Gg! Im going for plat and im done with mini games just need to max materia and start tackling the hard mode single battles first. Clouds is a nightmare already with the fire doggo on round 2.
Yea in the gold saucer. Picking up mushrooms and chasing moogles, flying birds, riding dolphins etc were not in the game. They were some in OG but not overwhelming
@capoc2320 damn, way to out yourself as not having played the original. Riding dolphins was absolutely in the original game, and you had to do it to progress, same with the parade, and there was also a mandatory snowboarding mini game right after the most emotionally devastating scene. You don't need to like it but don't pretend the original was any better.
In all honesty, you kinda have to complete this without taking any hits, because he basically beats you in 3 hits. This coming from someone who probably spent about half an hour attempting this, learning his burst attacks to get every hit you can in.
The first combo, UpRight, Left, Right, UpLeft, DownRight. Then it will to random to the dcombo of 3-4 stroke, and the final is the same as the first one, UpRight, left, Right, UpLeft, Upleft, Downleft
After hoping square would release a patch to fix can't stop won't stop, I reinstalled rebirth and finally got to finish that side quest only to be stopped by 3d brawler Sephiroth for another day. Literally completed everything available from missed hidden caches and chocobo stops to beating Gilgamesh and clearing the meridian ocean. I'm so looking forward to the temple of the ancients now.
I found a way to be consistent with pause. Normal mode: dodge after coming out of pause except for his upward dodges you can enter dodge command during pause since its fast. I found in normal mode i would just block if trying to enter dodge directions during pause for side and down dodges. Enraged: enter dodge direction for everything during pause before unpausing.
You know how people make jokes about mario kart, how it's so funny seeing mario and bowser have fun racing against eachother like they don't fight every day? I get that same vibe here, but Bowser never dropped a good 200ft to kill Princess Peach like he's a damn Thwomp 💀

Pro tip: you can spam 'pause' in this minigame to give yourself as much time as you want to read and react to the opponent.

You can always pause the game as they start to punch, see what it is and hold the correct stick. The game absolutely lets you do this.
