1:05 The 'only' goal for waiting an entire few dates before telling someone is to use them. Nobody's waiting until the third or fourth date to ask whats your religion, direction, what are you looking for, family, what does loyalty mean to you etc.

I had no problem with it, I loved her company, she was my best friend, we kissed, were always super close, we knew we loved each other and it worked out perfectly. My.wife made me waiting for a long time...we would travel stay in hotels and nothing happens...But I did enjoy just being with her everywhere. I sometimes planned weekends away with her without thinking of sex because I knew it was off the table but we had such a good time both were in college at the time. I must admit I have mixed views on Steve but this one hit deep, he's so right on this one. My hubby and I dated 3 yrs before we got married and only seeing each other maybe once a week (he's a farmer) I didn't want to repeat the same mistake I did once before. It was exhausting but totally worth it! The only thing is I was the huntress, he was too UNconfident in himself but I've built that up in him now, he's the greatest man I know! The Bible is man made all the rules in the Bible are designed to control women’s sexuality NOT men’s. A man can have a wife and several concubines (sex slaves) the concubines only use is for sex she would be there to get pregnant if the wife couldn’t have kids or to take care of the husband if the wife was sick or just for straight up pleasure. No where in the Bible does it say a man has to be with one and only one woman it just says he can only marry one woman. And it also says not to fantasize about a woman who belongs to another man. It's worth it! I avoided so many no-good, lousy men by making this decision. I hope it helps you all the same. Also, just an aside: God doesn't "bring" you anyone. You have to get out there and find what you want. God "brings" us things by giving us free will and the ability to create change.

But once I turned 40, I gave up on the dream. 51 now and have never even been close to being in a relationship. I don’t even try any more. Initially decided to wait as a promise to God made at 20 y/o, now I’m waiting not only to continue to keep the promise, but I also realize the empowerment and drama-free living that comes with waiting, and it also allows me to weed out the wrong ones, while waiting on the right one. Though I never dreamed I’d be waiting this long, I do believe the wait will be worth it, and am currently enjoying living out my dreams and encouraging other women in the process #waitingandhappy 😊

And you're right, been doing that for twenty years, and actually I've passed up I say would 5 'husbands' who would've been good men for me due but due to unhealed trauma and brokenness I didn't recognize them when God brought them, since then I got healed in my early forties with prayer and therapy, I no longer attract and entertain toxic relationships, and more than anything have fallen in love with myself so much so that I won't settle! Exactly, her friends are wack for saying she’s ruining her chances by being upfront about waiting until marriage. It was going to come up eventually and why should she just have to put out in order to be in a relationship? Such a breath of fresh air. Good advice that most people refuse to give these days. I waited till I was married (at age 24) and was blessed all the more for it. My wife is gorgeous and has my heart and I have hers, she is the one God put in my path that didn't try to change my standards. A godly queen fit for one of heavens kings. We have been together 11 years.
I'm a guy and I never bring up sex. The ladies always do and then I tell them I am waiting till marriage. They usually share my values so its never a big deal.
