I have the same problem. I can't keep a straight face in any situation. My friend was telling me her boyfriend cussed her out and I cackled. She was so offended but I didn't mean anything by it.
My sister-in-law is the same. I had a panic attack seizure and she was standing next to me a laughing... 😵 every time something serious is happening, she gets nervous and starts laughing.

My best friend in high school and I were present during a domestic violence situation when a dude's shoulder was dislocated. We were absolutely horrified, looked at each other, and started laughing. It was NOT funny in any way, it was purely nervous laughter as neither of us had witnessed anything like that before. That laughter still haunts me, even though it was unintentional.
I do the same thing. My mom would always think I’m getting smart with her and being disrespectful. No matter what I couldn’t stop smiling or laughing when I was in trouble.
