Luckily I arrive on the eighth but what about all those people who aren’t double vaccinated that are booked through the month of January I don’t even have time to get double vaccinated if they wanted to? This rule is ridiculous and it’s just another nail in the coffin of the thai tourist industry
Why should people have to announce their medical health Vax Or unVaxx never heard of privacy before , I'm due to fly on the 11th I don't have time to run to a Dr etc etc get a test and then get to the airport, I always knew that this would be a fifty fifty because they've locked down China then released the people stating they are struggling onto the rest of the world, logic would tell me if you don't want to destroy your economy over a lie then close your borders to China.
I've booked my hotel even for fights that I really want to see this is a once in a lifetime dream opportunity and get to see family I've not seen for 4 years, I'm trying to remain positive but I don't like being Lied to.

Thank you for making this video. I'll be traveling to Thailand in February and keeping my fingers crossed for a smooth and wonderful trip. Covid is not going away, it's just going to keep mutating and we just need to learn to live with it.
Mexico was open through out Covid and that proves that we can learn to live with covid without imposing travel restrictions. I visited Mexico twice last year since it was the only country without restriction and was surprised to see how beautiful the country is. I felt safer there than I do in US.
I will be traveling to Thailand in Feb as well. Safe travels 🙏🏾
I think Mexico had over 25 million visitors in the first 5 months of 2022.

The tourist industry is going to thrive. You see these new rules are done for the Chinese. Being polite they apply it to the whole world. Your sorry unvaccinated ass is all but a few compared to the millions of vaccinated Chinese that will create greater revenue. There are more of them and they spend a lot more. Now you have a choice to make don’t you. 🤷🏼♂️. Sad but true.

The problem is restrictions could get worse in the coming months i go in march and have already paid for my 2 weeks holiday fingers crossed .Thanks for the update cheers.

Naw, Dude. T.I.T. (This is Thailand). Literally everyday the rules change. It's just one of those things you kind of have to accept. You'll always farang, you'll never be Thai.
Vietnam is a good alternative destination.

Hopefully by Sept-Oct of 2023 all this covid madness will be gone forever... I will never let myself be vaccinated (I had covid 3 times in the last two years so I should have stronger immunity now) and I don't want any surprise rules implemented just right after I'd purchased my tickets and secured my bookings... I feel sorry for the people who have to cancel their travel plans just for this...

I will travel to Thailand next September, so, even if these actual requirements are nothing for me (always travel with an insurance coverage since more than 30 years, as it is pure stupidity to travel without such coverage, and am vaccinated...), it is not a problem for me.
The only thing I worry about is an eventual return of the ThailandPass or of the SHA hotels requirement... but it should not be the case, as it would deter many foreign tourists and eventually cause a new collapse of the Thai tourism industry...
What I most hope is that these new requirements will not last more than 1 or 2 monthes...

Hello Teya from Bangkok. I fell through the cracks, as I took my flight on 8 January! So more fear than harm. Teya, you were right. But I was concerned about what was said in the previous video because I saw it as a return to the not-so-artistic blur of 2021 and 2022, which had already made me postpone my trip twice!
Anyway, before knowing about these new rules, I had my vax-certification and a health insurance covering covid "in case" in my luggage.
Thank you for the information in this video. It will be useful to me, as I am now in the thick of it and intend tostay a longer time, leaving nd re-entering Thailand more than once from neighboring countries.
Again: the harsh tone was targetting the Chinese bueaucracy.

Hi really valuable information . One question though , for expat who is travelling to India for work and coming back from India to Bangkok ( 2 dose vaccine done) do they need travel insurance ? What if expat has an inbound insurance for accident , still need travel insurance for 7days pr more? Because expat live and work in Thailand and have accidental death insurance. It’s a joke, why should a doctor give time to us. Why can’t the Chinese doctors do this for 100% of China Tourist, any have to prove they have an insurance against passing on Covid to others. This is outrageous and will result in us cancelling out booking to travel to Thailand, it’s passing on all the costs to the non Chinese tourist, disgraceful

I don't know about it. They don't talk about the process in details but I don't see it's different to show when you arrive and before you fly as long as you have it. correct?

are the covid vaccine date sensitive? Example have had 4 covid shots. 3 in 2021 and one in 2022. Had covid in between these shots but no Doctor records

I had Covid last July only once , no big deal . The UK media does not help matters , one day reporting sky high flu numbers in the UK . Causing unecessary panic . It is a normal winter in the UK !!!!

I feel a bit confused, is my understanding correct that Starting January 9, 2023 to January 31, 2023 travelers (aged 18 years old and above) arriving in Thailand must have proof of full vaccination; OR proof of recovery from COVID in the last 6 months; OR you may provide a vaccine-exemption letter from a doctor.
It's not very clear in news too. If I were you I would prapare both, letter and test. I hope I can find better clearer information soon
