Вставка
- Опубліковано 3 тра 2024
- This is by the far the easiest and best way to play The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR with hundreds of mods to make your gameplay better. The mod list is super performant, is very close to a vanilla+ experience and is a one click installation. This guide covers everything you need to do before and after installing, and even provides a guide on how to add mods to this mod list.

FUS has removed all ENBs from their modlist. More info in their Discord.
Wanna try my personal modlist? You can download it here: www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/95028
It is designed to be the most immersive and beautiful Skyrim VR experience possible (or at least will be when it is fully finished), but it is not performance friendly. Meant for people (me) who have a 3090 or higher.
Great vid man its been helping me a lot finally built my dream pc and I've had a standalone quest for a year now ill finally be able to put to some good use and record a Skyrim VR playthrough!! only one question if I may what do you use for recording in VR?
@@ALPHAGROUND1 absolutely. Please do! Just know this list in this comment is still very early and probably has a TON of bugs.
Hey dude! I was wondering how many fps you average with this modlist on that 3090. I got a similar card.
@@El_Deen with mine, I get 80 to 90 depending on the spot. I could get more with DLSS, but I don't like how it looks.
Hello! Do you use the same recommended bindings as in the video for your own modpack as well? Thank you!
WOW. Can't wait to try this out. I bought Skyrim VR a while ago, but I struggle with getting everything right. I don't usually comment but man I wanted to personally thank you for this guide!! Really appreciate it!
This was a god send and made me want to try out wabbajack. I've been modding for years in a pretty hardcore level, but this time I just didn't want to go jump through all the hoops yet again and end up breaking my modlist yet again. The fact that the FUS list is all setup in MO with instruction and what is actually going on with the mod list made me want to use it as a starting point for my next build.
This is an awesome tutorial! Thank you so much! I’ve had the game for a while and haven’t played it because it needed mods! This seems reasonable for beginners! You rock!
Finally got to play modded Skyrim VR - this is literally the only tutorial that has worked for me.
I really appreciate this video! Almost got overwhelmed trying to start my first mod playthrough
Sweet! Been wanting to get into Skyrim VR but all that modding was intimidating. Thanks for making this vid!
Fantastic video - thankyou so much for the straightforward info, can't wait to jump in.
Your content is so underrated.
I can't wait for the mod list even though it might never materialize, i look forward to it!
I dont usually sub just off one vid. BUT! I have never seen someone so detailed and helpful! Thank you!
This has been an amazing guide, thanks for posting it!
Nice! Thank you. I've been wanting to dive in but everyone talks about it but leaves info out. Thank you!
Dude you're the friggin BEST! I have been LOVING this! Stealth Archer is scary AF! I've been in Bleakfalls for over and hour just creeping. I have to literally psych myself up before I go around each corner. The Draugr are scary AF! This is the MOST immersed I've ever been in any experience yet in my life! Thank you so much!
Just got my Quest 3 on friday and was wondering about Skyrim VR. This made me pull the trigger, great video
I wanted to get that as well! AV1 is an amazing encoder. Can lower the bitrate to 50Mbps and have the same quality as HVEC/H.264 at 75 Mbps. Less Wi-Fi interference!
You are doing God's work.
I was so intimidated by the tedious process of modding skyrim vr. You really broke it down and made it easily digestible with simple to follow instructions.
The good god that you speak of is not Good or G❤️🔥d 🤷🏻♂️
your video is insane, i don't have words to explain how helpful this video is, tysm!
wanted to add a comment that this video really helped me set up mods on skyrim and I would have been lost without it. Thanks so much mr. panda
Thanks bro! Super helpful guide with detailed explanations to all those different options!
Thanks so much for this video. I got Skyrim VR set up yesterday and I'm pretty sure I'd have given up without your help.
Also I appreciate you taking your time with this video, had some company while clicking download 400 times lol
Wow! GREAT VIDEO! You earned a Like in the first few minutes. So thorough and clearly explained it's hard to imagine you left any possible sticking point unmentioned. At the end when you mentioned how some people spend more time installing and testing mods than they do playing... lol... All I can say it's THAT'S ME! In years past I definitely let the FOMO get to me. Now though, while I'd never play any version of Skyrim without mods that correct or remove really annoying "features," I'm much more measured in my approach and expect to, finally, actually get past the beginning of the main quest line lol.
A few tips for anyone reading this. In lieu of a performance hitting ENB or ReShade give the simple mod Imaginator a try. It adds a MCM entry but you don't need that. Use the spell Summon Imaginator Helper and a guy will appear in front of you. Talk to him and select the Presets dialogue. Then, if you like bright, brilliant colors like the old Technicolor movies - Ben Hur, The Ten Commandments and such - try the Holy Hell preset. When it's sunny out it looks FANTASTIC!
Realistic AI Detection is great. The author, now deceased (apparently), developed RAID Weathers specifically for that mod and spent over a thousand hours play testing it. Other weather and or lighting mods don't necessarily help or hinder detection - or so he said. Me I don't know but I just installed both. I'm a sneaky guy.
3D parallax is working well - it's amazing ! Thank you so much for FUS !!!!
Took me forever and I felt like my pulling my hair out. Got it kinda working (struggling to learn controls and get used to VR, more a user error lol) and im so happy! Thank you sir
Great video! This helped a lot! Thank you for your time and effort to share this knowledge.
This guide is CLUTCH. Thanks brother.
17:38 Btw, I thought I'd might mention you can minimize the amount of steps by clicking the shortcut button below the run button in Mod Organizer and send it to your desktop. Otherwise, awesome video!
Ty so much! Finally got this on Steam summer sale this year and am ready to mod tf up xD
Great tutorial! Maybe I will finally play this masterpiece in VR and with mods.
Hey, thank you for this video, great work! I'm glad you liked it and the intention of providing a straightforward vanilla plus experience is working out. We will link to this in our guides now :)
That being said we do recommend the enhancer enb now, it is a fantastic option and the performance version is also very easy on the GPU. It works very well together with glamur reshade as well.
Thanks for making such a great modlist 😁
FUS installed without any ENBS and in the Downloads category it enbseries has a warning "The content of does not look valid, any idea on how to fix that?
ty
@@VirtualPandaVR maybe you want to make a pinned post about this?
@TheCangar just saw the announcement, was thinking the same thing
@@VirtualPandaVR funny I mentioned dis cord and my comment got removed 🤐
Took me 2 days cause of constant crashes but I finally got it working and boy is it awesome!
Awesome tutorial
What caused the crash for you?
@@rainsoup4429 it was multiple things but biggest problems for me was when the installation had failed and i retried it, it must of duplicateed some files somewhere because I had files in my overwrite folder so it would crash on launch. That required me to do a fresh install of skyrim and completely redownload the mod. The 2nd issue was that I didnt download the .net runtime that this video mentions because I just assumed I had it ( I did not).
This was stressful as hell when i tried it alone. Thanks for the help.
I’m now ready to go to Skyrim THANK YOUUU
Thanks for the video Panda!
You instantly made it into my top 20 favorite humans. Thanks so much!
Appreciate this guide, and I really love that wabbajack installs skse automatically without me touching anything because I almost ALWAYS have issues with it, even though i follow the instructions step by step. Even with vortex it/I never seem to install skse correctly through modpacks, so it was such a relief that the moment the wobbajack download finished I was ready to fire it up and play. Tossed roughly 35 of my favorite (compatible) SSE mods on top of FUS and its been working great. Thank you so much for saving me the headache of modding because I just cant do it anymore haha. Instead of playing spider-man 2 im playing skyrim for the 1000th time and loving it in a whole new perspective
Thanks for the support! Enjoy, it's the best VR experience imo!
@@VirtualPandaVRhi can you please help when I download FUS in wabbajack it doesnt show a play icon it shows something else. So I’m stuck on this step 5:22
I'm having the same problem as the other comment replying to you. Any idea what to do?@@VirtualPandaVR
Im not VR panda but for me I had to close wabbajack and restart it a couple times before it downloaded properly to start it. its not much but all I can offer
I tried getting Skyrim VR going and it just went black, no matter how much I tried tinkering with stuff. I did the first few steps of your video up to the point to where you have to load the game for the first time, and my game actually loaded. I love you so much 😂
Finally got in. I went to riverwood to see If I can even run the mod. and my god it took my breath away. I mean it literally Stole my breath. It was clear. It was colorful. The godrays were shining over the mountain. the water was immaculate. It just left me crouching in the street in complete awe.
Getting rid of the shout button is such a good idea! In my old non-vr playthrough I rarely used shouts...
Best SkyrimVR Modding tutorial and installation on UA-cam
great video. People like you make these old games last years.
Thank you! 😁👍🏻👍🏻
Useful, thank you very much!
This is very useful Thank you
This did take longer than expected and after messing with the setting a bit my game can atleast run with no frame rate lol but still thank you for this I’ve been wanting to play Skyrimvr with mods cause I saw habie playing it and it seemed so fantasy 😂
1:42 I've been stuck on this saying for 10 minutes now. Also, thanks for the great mod list!
great guide! very straightforward! its so hard to get your foot in the door starting off but this really helped me setup FUS thank you!, and a thank you to @TheCangar for making this all possible ! cant wait to play:)
I appreciate the help.. It was always a few hour ordeal me trying to download a bunch of mods and come to find some of them are incompatible.. with this list i was able to get skyrim vr fully modded and the only real time spent was waiting for the 300 or so mods to download (not long)
Thank You 😎
Coming from Elysium remastered i love skyrim but for me i caj inly play it so much as combat feels dated but i know vr will change this and this is exactly what i need thank you
LIFESAVER!!
Cool video, very helpful. Thank you
thank you a lot for this video. awesome!!!
I just followed your steps and was able to get it working. I was using my Pimax5KSuper headset. Wow, this is a Brand New experience for me. I just have to get me a more powerful PC my i9-11900K and RTX3090 is struggling to run it smoothly. It works just not perfectly. Maybe, I should try it using my Quest 3 or Quest Pro... Maybe it will run better... Thank you for taking the time to make it so darn simple. 😉👌
Something VERY IMPORTANT - when you install Mod Organizer, it takes control of your SkyrimVR save games. They are no longer backed up on Steam, or in Documents/mygames - Mod Organizer keeps them stored internally. This means that if you break the game with mods and delete/rebuild, when you delete the mod organizer folder it deletes all your savegames. There is an option in Mod Organizer that will copy the internally stored savegames to the normal savegame location on your hard drive, and once they are copied over steam will now back them up to the cloud.
Hey I can't find this setting could you point me in the right direction? Thanks for the head up
best video out there on this thx
Best of the best, love and hug
very helpfull video! ty alot friend
Im going to look into this more tomorrow.
358 mods is insane lol.
I cant imagine more than 50 of them are good, but i do appreciate how good this tutorial was.
V.R.I.K, H.I.G.G.S, and those gestures you showed off already make the game leagues better.
Then for flavor, Immersive smithing and mining, Enb/reshade and those runes during spellcasts.
( personally i like Apocalypse in vanilla! Just dont use the ones that are cheats lol.)
So yeah idk how they got a number like 358. My best modded experience ever was 106 on Oblivion and even that was kinda overkill.
Happy New Year🎉
My personal list is at over 1200. The number can get pretty high when you start including retextures and other small improvements to the overall look
u are tweaking and obviously very new to modding this is not alot at all
@@akaricodane401 Been modding for almost 10 years now. But hey I'm sure you know more since you're on the same guide video as I am.
You're tweaking if you need that many mods to enjoy the game lol. I took over 100 out of FUS day one. All these modpacks are outdated as of 3 weeks ago anyways.
what happened 3 weeks ago that made them all outdated?@@ssheeessh
I just got the Kat VR and have been trying to get Skyrim to work with it. The Treadmill worked right off the bat, but the modding was hours of work. A lot of people out there are saying Wabbajack makes it idiot-proof but wow, this is not easy. You made a very complicated process as easy as possible, but I'm shocked that people think this process is easy or straightforward.
Absolutely amazing video, will be following this guide exactly when I get my headset next week. One thing that I noticed is that the sound of the fire was very different to vanilla when you casted it? Is that part of the modlist? Could I turn that off?
the skyrim music in the background just give me more motivation to play this game hahahaha
Excellent!
so have you made a perfect mod list yet? also thanks for the tutorial it's the only one that explained it clear enough for my tiny argonian brain
Awesome vid !
Thank you, thank you,thank youuuuu😭😭😭
Took me a day to study and setting this from the scratch with minimal modding/vr knowledge but its working, now just to learn controls :D ingame text i bit fuzzy but overall game is looking great. thx. There are some visual moving/warping edges/objects is it normal?
Thanks a lot. A few things to point out.
1. Have to get nexus premium account, or wabbajack cannot continue from installation step 7 of 14.
2. mod organiser needs to be updated to latest version (2.5.0) or game crashes on first time start.
Fuck Nexus mods, all my hommies hate nexus
I legit spent 2 hours installing and clicking 342 times cause premium is unavailable, was still easy cant wait to play it
Perfect!!!
@VirtualPandaVR love the vids. I used your video on UVRE to get going on Skyrim VR and it was awesome. Do you like this modpack more than the UVRE? If so, any major reason?
No. I don't. But UVRE isn't available anymore.... which is why I made my own modpack that I believe is better than UVRE (check the pinned comment)
also thanks alot for this guide helped alot
Great guide, thank you. Sorry if I missed this but you said you use Virtual Desktop. How do launch Skyrim? Did you make a batch file for it or do you use the mod organizer from the Desktop inside VRD?
Very interesting list. I'm a longtime MO2 user (going back to Tannin's original MO days) but I've never seen pseudo root-level content managed by the tool. Very clever! (OK. On further review, it seems that this functionality is enabled through Root Builder, which I'd never run across, before. Sounds like a great innovation!) That's the simplest root directory I've ever seen in even an unmodded Bethesda game. I guess the dummy mods are meant to ensure that the patches work, even if certain mods aren't enabled. (For example, I saw that the dummy file was replaced with a real one, when I enabled Inigo.) I have the feeling that I'll be customizing this pretty extensively, because there are a ton of mods I can't imagine playing without, but this looks like a great way to get started. ... By the way, I've found disabling Immersive Armors was good enough to make the cart ride work correctly. I don't see that one in this list. Sure enough, I float above the cart, during the introduction, but I'm able to create an ugly character and start the game normally, using the FUS list without Lorkhan. (I'll have to add some appearance mods.)
Just popping on to say thanks!
I was a bit 50/50 to whether or not to do this.
I didn't take your advise about buying the monthly and retreated it!! Took me 12 hours to download! -_-
but its absolutely 100% worth it.
I've not had this much fun playing Skyrim in years. Its so good!
Thank you! :D
p.s.
buy nexus mod manager for the first time. Trust me. Its not worth the time wait.
i agree i also didnt buy and now none of the mods are categorized so now i have to search through every mod one by one to findthe mods hes talking about
Do we still get access to all of the creation club content we own while using this mod list? Is there a way to get access to that content while keeping the list if not?
I had such a nightmare modding fallout vr, I don’t think I’m mentally prepared to go through that again
Thank you
Does anyone know if there's a mod where you have to hold the grip button the entire time you're holding weapons? I feel like it would be way more immersive if when you let go of the grip button you drop your sword. But also letting go of the grip at your waist binds it to the waist still. Im sure this exists I just dunno where or how to find it.
Ty sir 🤝
Skyrim vr is my favorite game ever
Thanks. I just started considering this a few days ago but felt like too much to research and consider. I'll give this a try. Never played the game. Fallout 4 next?
I definitely need to do Fallout 4. Been putting off getting into that until I've done a solid playthrough of Skyrim, which I still haven't done XD
Oh wow, I never knew about Full body haptic suits haha, this is so awesome and kind of funny. Just out of curiosity, I heard you mention you like to play seated sometimes, so Skryim VR is completely playable seated?
This is genuinely one of the best guides I've ever seen in my life. Amazing work!
11:30 how do you run them together? Modloader wont start the game for me if I enable Glamur and Vr Vision Reshades at the same time, I can only chose one
It won’t let me change the path to be outside of steam. I’ve even moved the whole Skyrim folder over post install as last resort but the exe just opens steam, which starts a new install in the common folder again as an update.
Great video! But one question, Any idea why my quest 2 controllers show up as vive wands in game? Ty in advance
Yay for this,!
1:44 I haven't heard that one yet. Nice one.
WOW...WELL WORTH IT! This will be the first time playing it :-) might as well do it in VR right?!
Tried to run this, on a quest 2, with the link cable, with everything fancy turned off, 72hz refresh and auto resolution, on my PC with a 3070ti... -10,000% headroom and 2fps in the menu.
Nice
That definitely shouldn't be the case. Something is wrong somewhere.
Did you finish loading into game? Sometimes booting up its a bit glitchy as it loads the mods
I would like to add my thanks to the plethora of others in the comments. I’m so not tech savvy in any regard, so modding a game was incredibly daunting to me. But with this guide, as well as a huge thanks to Wabbajack and the modding community, I was playing my modded Skyrim within an hour. So easy, a fool like me didn’t have trouble! Thanks again!
I played it on ps vr 1 and was very impressed so idk if i wanna put in all this work
But VR is the best version of the game hands down. Actually swinging your sword makes the combat actually fun while in 2d skyrim, ive always thought the combat was a huge weakness
i played psvr1 version and this is shit if you compare with modded skyrim vr. so yes it worth the effort
yeah psvr version is terrible compared to modded. certainly worth the effort.
You may want to mention COMPILING SHADERS will make you Alt+F4 if you don't know it is happening. I wasn't aware until I took off my headset and saw it at the top of the screen. This appears that it'll take 15 minutes !
Much love my man, I thought that my PC was just rejecting the game with all the mods. After finding your comment I went back and saw the "Compiling shaders" for my self. Waited and got in with GOOD performance. god send comment for anyone else that was in the same boat as me.
Now that's a guide video done right.
is the gameplay you've shown using fus?
what mod are you using while showcasing the vrik mod? like, what map is that and what is it called?
Realm of lorkham. It's the alternate start that comes with this list
lol This guy on his work computer just battling dragons in VR
Hello I have recently installed this mod pack and I am having a great time but I am experiencing one bug with the road textures thats bothering me. Basically unless Im turned in a specific direction the stone road texture goes away and all I see is plain untextured dirt. Was wondering if anybody had experienced this before and was able to fix it. Im using the High Fidelity LCD ENB
Awesome video! Why cant we just install Skyrim in the steam default folder C:?
Do you actually have to create another steam library to download the game onto? I tried using the tool you linked in the description as I only have one drive and the tool said it was successful, but when I go to steam it shows that I only have one download library.
