LADWP pouring concrete into a trench onto a pipe on Geyser St., Northridge CA

A LADWP crew and cement truck pouring concrete trench on Geyser St., Northridge, next to a power conduit for a gas line. Because of this, the crew had to work carefully. This was on April 29th, 2023. Part 2 of 2 videos, the first video shows the trench being dug the previous day with a backhoe.

Yes, the guys on this project (multiple crews) were really good about safeguarding the trenches and covering stuff up asap before any people or animals could get in there. Also nice about letting me take photos on top of the trench later (from a safe place). I was really impressed with the system they had for covering these areas, very turn-key, and you can even attach/detach with your boots when they use the loaders to move them with chains.

I know, right? I had a fun time watching this, awesome that it was right there in front of where I live. Nice crew too, these videos are only meant to highlight their good and efficient (and I mean it, it was amazing how much they got done every day) work. Good attitudes too.
