    Couple of things to mention, the low pressure connection is found on most RVs with external hookups, just use an adapter for your 2nd LP tank or use the griddle that came with the camper. If your primarily using this for boondocking get rid of the microwave for more storage. The wet bath is also a great area to add some storage options when you don’t plan to use it as intended. The beds are definitely lacking, we use the single configuration with added memory foam mattress toppers. Much more comfortable for sure. This 15TB is our 3rd Epro and by far the best yet. The price before “crazy” was reasonable and the features it has were unmatched in the price range. The Tow vehicle isn’t really a trailer issue. Enjoyed the scenery, we were in the springs area a few months ago and really enjoyed it. You’re lucky to be in CO.

      Thanks! As far as the bed and storage go, I’ve got that coming up in the next video! Thanks for checking it out. Colorado is definitely a wonderful place to live.

      I saw your follow up and I’m sure you enjoying it more now. As for the tow vehicle trailer comment “ it was meant as if the tow vehicle is struggling with towing the trailer…that’s a tow vehicle problem not a fault of the trailer. It’s a huge wind catcher for sure.

    Had a 14' Geo Pro. Lived in it 2 years. Wish I hadn't sold it. Modified it for me. I'm only 5'2" so made a bed in the back and kept table up.

    My husband said you used to be able to buy LP regulators. A regulator can get higher pressure the tighter you screw it down. I hope they still sell them so you can cook outside your rig too.

    Love the videos I am thinking about getting one so these are great to see what issues you have and how you handle them. Keep them coming. Thanks again for your honest opinions.

    Research man. Research research. I bought my first real camper (4200lbs hybrid Jayco X19H) and towed it with my 2016 Tacoma to SW CO from OH to go offroading. Gain experience man. But yeah these Tacomas stock are gutless but tuning it on Kdmax tune a couple years later made it pleasurable

    I was going to ask about the year of your Frontier but I see someone else already did. FWIW, for other Frontier owners...from 2020 on up, the Frontier has an upgraded engine and transmission (9 speed) for more power and improved towing. But keep an eye on the payload capacity because it varies a lot depending on the extras such as 4WD, bed rail system, bed extender, etc...

    I really appreciate that you talk about the towing while towing, listening to your truck cry is helping me decide Not To. I pulled an old 16ft before, and forgot how quick my truck suffered, so I guess A-liner it will be for me. I thought they sell these with the griddle? why you cooking inside?

    Thanks for sharing your maiden voyage!! I'm camper shopping and considering the 15tb. I appreciate the real look at what it was like for you adjusting to the new set up. Plus, I can relate to all the stupid things going wrong when you're just trying to get out of the driveway hahahaha
    I hope you were able to get settled in!

    Get a mattress that has hard foam layer with a memory foam layer. Like me you are heavy enough to compress the mattress that come in these things.

    • @ProjectBasecamp
      @ProjectBasecamp  Рік тому

      Unfortunately when it is cold outside, the memory foam turns into concrete

    I put a bag of ice in my fridge when I first turn it on and it cools down fast. Then I just move the ice bag to the fridge, a little fan helps too.....

    • @ProjectBasecamp
      @ProjectBasecamp  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks Jerri, usually the speed of cooling down isn’t an issue, as we turn it on the night before we leave. As far as the fan goes, that’ll be coming soon

    What year Frontier do you have? We tow a small trailer and our equalization hitch made a world of difference. Hope it all comes together for you and your trailer life becomes more enjoyable.

    • @ProjectBasecamp
      @ProjectBasecamp  Рік тому

      Hey Brian, the Frontier is a 2018. We do have an equalization hitch, which helps a little bit.

    • @bafergs
      @bafergs Рік тому +1

      @@ProjectBasecamp I’m glad the hitch is helping. The reason I wondered about your tow vehicle is that I was checking google and the info I found suggests that up until 2019 the Frontier was only rated to 3500 lb towing capacity. Not sure if this is correct but thought I’d share it with you. Looking forward to seeing more of your journeys

    • @ProjectBasecamp

      @@bafergs with the correct configuration, the frontier has always been rated up to 6450, at least since 2005

    I am a little confused. On the FB group page you posted "Why did I buy this thing ?!" and then in your video you complain about the storage ? Clearly, you knew a bout the storage before you got the trailer.... and then you complain about the gas line on the trailer, and then you complain about the bed ? ...however, later you said the trailer is great ... Just curious ? so you like it ? or you dont like it ? sorry the video was kinda all over the place and I was curious what you finally decided ?

    • @ProjectBasecamp
      @ProjectBasecamp  2 роки тому

      No don’t be sorry, I actually have had the same issue in my own head about this thing. I do like it, but I do have a lot of complaints. I’ll be working on modifying it and have more videos coming.

    We will be picking up our 15TB next month. We are coming from being tent campers for 40+ years. We figured the 15TB would be the perfect fit for us. We live in Montana so there are lots of camping opportunities. We will mainly be boondocking. I am curious on the water situation you mentioned. Looking forward to more videos.
