- I just bought a Forest River Flagstaff E-Pro E15 TB and this is an introduction to my journey and the walkthrough when I went to pick up the travel trailer.
This channel is for entertainment purposes only. I share my experiences. Do your own research to find out what works best for you.
Dec 2023 I am going back and watching your videos. You have excelled in your camping journey by miles. You are doing great and I enjoy watching you bloom with your Free Spirit.
I love this comment! Thank you so much!
Ive seen you backup and you done great. Take your time, backing a single axle trailer is harder than a tandem axle. We all have to learn by experience . I can back a semi trailer easier than a small single axle trailer . Nice Camper 👍
My husband and I own this exact 15TB camper (but Geo-pro version) and LOVE it! Although I've seen lots of video 'tours' of the camper layout on UA-cam, I've longed to find someone who gave more info, tips, tricks, organization ideas specific to actually camping in it, so I'm very excited to have found your channel! I've subscribed and will be going back to watch all your videos from the start and look forward to following your journey!
We are in a different season of life than you as we are a retired couple, but I know there is a LOT I can learn from you. I've often wondered if I could ever learn to operate it myself (hook-up, tow, maintain, etc) and you are inspiring me that perhaps I can!
I love this! Welcome to the channel! Yes 🙌 you can operate it yourself ☀️ you got this 💯
When you backup put your hand on the bottom of the steering wheel - you can turn the wheel in the direction you want the trailer to go.
Congratulations. We have a Forest River RPod 179 since 2016. Enjoy!
I just purchased a travel trailer so I am learning so much from your videos!!!
That is awesome!
Hello from maturin, venezuela i love that baby trailer enjoy it.
Its so cute!! Thank you so much for watching!
Thanks for the best start to owning these trailers ❤
I just bought the exact trailer last week. Thanks for this video! And Happy trailering!
Awesome! Thank you for watching
congrats on the sweet lil trailer. I have my eye on one as well. Thank you for sharing this experience!!
I love this little trailer! Thank you for watching!
Newsflash. Your inverter will not run the AC or microwave. You need 30 amp shore power or a generator for that. It’s amazing what some of these techs will say on a walk through.
Ya you got that right
It can if you actually have the appropriate amount of Solar and a large enough battery bank. Those 2 marine batteries though are definitely not getting it done
You look like a pretty trim gal. You don't need AC. Your 12 VDC Fans will be fine as long as you avoid 100 degree days and direct sun light.
The guy is an idiot get the marbles out of your mouth he doesn’t know half of the items in the trailer
Just bought a GeoPro 15TB. Thanks for the time you took to make your videos. Helped me decide to pull the trigger.
Awesome!
Great attitude your learning at the pace that's good for you you should be proud of yourself !!! Come to Arizona and marry me 🎉
Good video. I have the same trailer. A couple of things the walk-thru orientation wasn't completely thorough about.
So, the solar controller instructions were not great - i get it - A and B are for your rooftop panels, B will cycle thru your battery(s) condition and show the trickle amount and A provides additional settings and a factory default reset when combined with other controls.
The Bluetooth button on the main control panel will allow you to pair your phone to the camper via the WERV app, that you need to download and follow the connection instructions. It's super easy and I really love that I can control virtually all the major camper functions with my phone.
You can set the battery disconnect at the trailer tongue to off and you will still get the batteries to trickle charge via the rooftop solar panels. That disconnect will kill all power to the trailer, but will allow you to still keep the batteries charged via the solar panels. Keep an eye on this tho, those Interstate batteries are not lithium, so never let them discharge below 55%.
You have a 1000W inverter, that will not allow you to use the AC or Microwave. You need a 30amp plug in at the campsite or a generator.
Never travel with the refrigerator, water pump or propane on.
Never turn on the interior Water heater without first making SURE that the water heater has pressurized water. You will fry the water heater element in just 30 seconds if the water tank does not have water in it.
Some of the other comments have indicated that the black and grey tanks are too small. I camp solo, so i use my toilet and sink for 5 days per trip and never reached the 2/3 mark on either - with responsible water usage.
Make sure your door is closed when using the awning and don't store it if it is wet from a recent rain or a bunch of pine needles or leaves are on it.
Storing it wet will lead to mold. But if you have to travel with it wet, deploy it as soon as you can to 'air it out'.
WOW, thank you so much for taking the time to explain this, it was so helpful! I really appreciate it!
@@lifewithstephanie42 Good thing I looked at the comments before posting because Cameron Young pointed many of the things I was going to mention that the tech either omitted or was not clear on. Unfortunately, at most RV dealers, the walk through is conducted by employees that may not be too experienced and it showed in the person that did your walk through. One thing I would add to Cameron's excellent post is about the inverter. The tech seemed to imply that you need the inverter on to provide power to your unit. The inverter is for changing DC (battery) power to AC power. You can still run anything that runs off of DC power without turning on your inverter (TV, tongue jack, lights, etc.). I don't think the tech made this clear (you probably have found this out by now). Safe travels!
You can travel with your fridge on most that were not electric only took 24 hours to get cold so you would have had to turn on a day before going camping then load food plug into tow while driving to your site and all good. With electric fridge it takes about 2 hours to get cold and apply the same technique load up plug into tow vehicle pull up to campsite with cold food and beer
all good tips.
Very good information!
Good walk through Thanks I enjoyed it, Thinking of getting one myself and, Nothing wrong with Driving around the neighborhood and getting experience, Hope to see more Maybe prose and cons.👍
Yes, I will definitely be posting more videos of all kinds about the trailer, thank you for watching!
He did a pretty good walk through. Our dealership did too. Always get one like this
You call this a good walk through a joke
Congrats!!!
I hope you enjoy your new adventures.
Keep practicing backing up. Towing trailers are opposite depending the length.
The small ones are great moving forward but the worst difficult backing up. The shorter the trailer, the fastest they turn when you are on reverse. The opposite happens with a big trailer. Difficult moving forward but easier on reverse.
Dont be embarrassed when practicing. It is better to do it right than hitting something with your RV.
I used to have an 18ft fishing boat and I was slower that the people with 30-40 boats. You will learn and get used to it.
I'm considering getting small RV to get my feet wet. If I use it as ofter as I think, then I'll get something up to 26ft.
Congrats again and good luck.
Nice Video !
Thank you for watching!
appreciate this video! I am planning to do the same thing when starting out (without the courage of posting it on you tube!) appreciate you!
Awesome! ☀️ Go for it!
Thank you for sharing!
Of course!
I'm looking at buying a E15TB because it is light enough that I could pull it with my 6 Cylinder SUV.
You will be fine. Just take it slow.
Proud of you
Thank you!
If you place your hand at the bottom of the steering wheel it will make it easier for you to back up. 😊
Yes! I learned to do this 😀 Thank you for the tip, and thank you for watching!
I have researched these little travel trailers. Nice and well built with lots of amenities. Not real fond of the small grey water tank though.I have it narrowed down between one of these or a Casita Spirit Deluxe.
I love this travel trailer. The grey tank does seem to fill up fast. Thank you for watching!
@@lifewithstephanie42 You're welcome "Eyebrows moving up and down"!
Get a backup camera - that will help you in changing lanes.
Ya the rv tech is a joke not a good job and they won't give the lady two bugs screens for the furnace how low can they be
Did you hear what he said? It comes with marine batteries incase you have a boat so you can snag it from the camper and use it in your boat.. lmao
Here's an idea boondock In front of your house To see how everything works without Power (Electricity) 🤷♂️
Great idea! Thank you for watching!
Thanks for sharing. I was looking at this model as well. How is the bed? That is one of the big reasons I was looking at different ones that have a normal matteress.
I put 2 inch memory foam over the bench seats to make two twin beds, super comfortable with the memory foam, thank you for watching!
Hi Stephanie, Ive been eyeing the 15tb for 2 years. Im a solo female camper and drive a Jeep Wrangler. I know this will work with my weight capacity as long as I don't load it too much, I have the tow package. My question is, how is it driving down the road? Do you feel like it sways a lot, or does it feel scary going up and down hills? I have never towed before...... Happy Trails :)
Hello 👋 I’ve never towed before this either and it’s been a crazy learning experience! I started towing it in the beginning with my Toyota Tacoma and I did feel it sway some especially when it was windy. I felt it work going up hills as well but it did the job for sure! Do to an unfortunate event I lost my Tacoma but I got a Tundra instead and it turns out the Tundra tows way better. I don’t feel it hardly at all. But I’m sure your jeep will do just Fine 👍 You’ll just have to test it out. Definitely jump in and go for it!
@@lifewithstephanie42 Thanks for the reply Stephanie, much appreciated. :)
He did say a few things wrong
Why not show us how the door works so you go inside
I sure will!
I have a ton of questions, give me a ring.
How does the Taco pull it ??
Pulls great!
I got turned off when he said she has to buy the bug screen. Will not buy one just because of that!
It’s not bad ☀️ I just went on Amazon and got one for a few dollars and put it on myself :) quick and easy
The audio on this is really pretty bad. There is a lot of background hum that makes it impossible to hear some of the words. Fyi, there is more background noise on the right channel than the left. It still needs some cleaning up on the left. The background is fan noise because when it was turned off at about 16.22 everything was clear.
Thank you for watching anyway!
Thanks for sharing, great job by the way. I’m looking to get into the camping 🏕️ world and this one looks perfect. Thanks again…. Very informative 😊
Thank you for watching!
