Theoretically this is correct, but sometimes in an emergency not getting taxis, waiting on taxis, in remote places taxis are not available. So it's better to purchase a value for money car.

1 Year resale value hardly makes any difference when you car is 5+ yrs old. Means you are going to fetch almost same value for 6yrs old car of 7yrs old car. So if your horizon is 5+yrs buy a car in December. What you can do is bill the car in December but make the registration in Jan next year. Thats What I did for my car. So basically I paid for the car in December 2018 and got almost 50k from the price of next year and registered the car in Jan 2019 next year, So on paper my car is Jan 2019 registered. No one cares about make year, even during resale people cares about what is mentioned on RC.

At what exshowroom price you are getting it ?
I am getting W8 (O) for 13.5 Lakh on road and some basic accessories. But I still want to wait for the facelift due to some ergonomic issues with it like Rear AC vent, Rear charging ports, decent interior (current one is not that bad but I will have to live with it for 8-10 years), good automatic gearbox, good headlights (current one's are bad). If I get it below 13 Lakhs then I would think of going ahead with the current offer otherwise will wait and grab the facelifted variant if it solves these issues, will go for any variant on offer which fits in my current budget even if it is not fully loaded with the features.

Depends on what your needs are apart from what you mentioned. In my research for the past 1 year, I've found dzire cng a good car, but my needs are different and I'm a cautious driver. I never drive rash, but fast yes. Apart from this, I've heard baleno is a good car too... I might go for a second hand baleno if I get a good deal. Also, make sure to get automatic climate control, saves fuel. Other useless features like automatic orvms, big touchscreen, flashy or fancy work, unwanted accessories, 8 or 9 speakers which are completely useless as you won't be able to drive and listen to music. Infact, an audio player in a car is totally useless... I installed 4 Sony speakers in my car which gave wonderful output, but I've hardly used them while driving in the last 9 years... They are just rotting away! Be very careful about over the top features offered in high end models.

Car in discussion is hyundai verna turbo. Hyundai as per sales associate has stopped manufacture of turbo varients for the year.
Can you specify the city? Where Verna TURBO manufacturing has been reportedly stopped?

I booked Nexon creative plus DCA (7 gear automatic), My priority is safety and the looks of facelift is best at current market. features that I got for 16L on road price is worth.
