I had horrible eczema on my hands, and went to see a Dermatologist. They prescribed me steroid ointments.
I developed TSW. So I weaned off it, went on a anti-inflammatory diet, started taking a probiotic daily, & ceased all dairy.
I am eczema free for now. ☺️

@@hommy250 Why not use the AIP diet ? The food ingredients that you eat the most may be triggering your eczema. The healthiest diets have great variety. Read food labels. Do you notice certain ingredients coming up over and over again ? Use the process of elimination to figure it out.

He’s right. I got rid of my eczema after trying all kind of lotions and seeing over 10 doctors with no success, by changing my diet, I stopped eating all whites, from bread to rice to sugar and pasta, cut all gmo food, not only I cured my eczema but also dropped 25 pounds without having any intentions to do so..

Yes, I can attest to this. When I was very strict with NOT eating any wheat plus fasting, my eczema completely disappeared. Now (Christmas period) I ate wheat products and sugary foods and started getting hints of eczema again. Thankfully not as vicious as before because of my previous fasting habits and wheat/sugar elimination. I’ve learned my lesson. No more wheat and sugar, not even during the holidays!

I have been to three different dermatologists for a skin condition that flared up a few months ago. I went to the first dermatologist thinking it was rosacea, considering a friend used to have the same red spots on his face and after many failed attempts got successfully treated for it. The first dermatologist told me it was dermatitis, I asked him how sure was, he replied 99.9% sure...hard to beat that kind of certainty. I bought the creams he prescribed, all of them very expensive. There was a short-lived improvement, but the problem persisted, ebbing and flowing. I went to get a second opinion, this time I was told that what I had was rosacea....to switch over to some antibiotics and some other expensive creams, no much improvement, the problem persistent, actually got worse. Meanwhile, I kept telling these physicians that this problem had started right around the time I began having, and continue having, a pain below my right rib, liver area. I received no much feedback or engagement from any of them after I pointed that out...like if I was telling them my zodiac sign was Taurus and my favorite color is blue. I went to a third dermatologist a little while after ( the most expensive specialist of the three) and he told me it was dermatitis. definitely. I did mention the abdominal pain, after insisting he gave me an order for a scan, but before an exam for HIV, because perhaps my immune system is depressed. I've been faithfully married for the last ten years to a woman who is extremely unlikely would have been fooling around, let alone catch HIV. That goes to show how segmented is the knowledge of these specialist who often times just look at the symptoms and provide topical creams and a "come and see me in a month", whatever happens in between is almost of no concern to them, if your skin falls off or you get a chemical scar for what they prescribed is almost none of their business.

major eczema started growing on my face 2 years ago, accomanied by anxiety, paranoia, depression. it all coincided with some major food changes: started drinking coke zero like crazy, eating peanut butter (lectins), took antibiotics (bad for gut), was taking sleeping pills (NSAIDS are bad for gut), was drinking a lot of alcohol, eating tons of spinach and cheese (lectins), and yogurt (lectins), also hot dogs and fake meat, lots of tomato/marinara sauce (lectins). did an elimination diet 6 weeks ago, all is well. depression fading. eczema seems to be sleeping. then tried some peanut butter as an experiment. MAJOR eczema blowout, even worse than before. that was GREAT news. I finally now had proof that I have developed food sensitivities caused by a new leaky gut. miraculous. and I would like to say to my doctor, "Dear asshole. Enjoy the money I wasted on you...youtube helped me more than your worthless 200,000 dollar degree"

Great advice. I have had terribly painful and sometimes truly awful flareups. There was a time when my entire face was basically a big scab. I guess it was sort of a weird blessing that everyone was in Covid lockdown and I didn't have to go out into public. For people with painful eczema it can be almost impossible to sleep and you get stressed out too, and even depressed - none of which helps of course. A good gut healthy diet is definitely important, for anyone. For the times when the itching seems unbearable a cold compress to the back of the neck really helps me. The nerves connect to the brain through your neck, and to soothe the pain having a cold pack on the back of the neck really helps. Distractions help too. Going for a walk, and doing something other than obsessing over the discomfort will help. A warm (not hot shower) can be a real relief. Stay clean of course but don't use too much soap, and find a really gentle one and lotion like from Cera Ve. If you have a partner something like back rubs will help to take your mind off of the pain. And reciprocate! Doing something nice for your partner is an excellent way to take your mind off of it and they will appreciate it as they are coping with your eczema too. I am sure that you know this and sometimes it seems impossible but try your hardest not to scratch. It will make it worse and you may get skin infections if the problem areas open up. Wear gloves or socks on your hands at night if you must. Not sexy but it is important not to scratch. Try to avoid too much applied steroid ointment/lotions. Drink water to stay hydrated. Do gentle exercise - if you get too sweaty it will sting and areas might become inflamed. Baths with colloidal oatmeal (Aveeno has portioned bath packets) are soothing. (Again, not too hot). Best of luck. Eczema can take up lot of bandwidth in your life but there are ways to improve the situation. I feel terrible for children with it as they don't know what is happening, but cool facecloths can help to soothe them.

Hey! Have you ever tried apple cider vinegar on our face eczema? I have pretty bad seborrheic eczema on my face and am completely free from it for many years now. I soak a cotton pad (make up removal pad or similar) in natural apple cider vinegar (shouldn't be mixed with other vinegars etc.) and just dab the affected areas which are around my mouth (beard region), nose and forehead (eyebrows) and leave it on over night. Usually it stings and gets a little worse for a day or two but then completely disappears. Once it has disappeared I can control it by doing this vinegar-treatment just once a week. If I eat bad food (especially spicy or dairy for me) I might have to do it twice a week. It only reappears if I get too comfortable and forget to treat it. I'm no doctor so I cannot give you this as an advice but for me (and many others) it works like a charm! All the best!

The two major changes for me were cutting down dairy intake (switching milk in my post gym protein shake for water), and eating porridge/oatmeal for breakfast every day.

i try to avoid dairy, sugary, processed and confectionery foods, however are eggs, goats milk potentially also aggreivating my skin, currently over the past 2 months Ive had a bad flare up with my eczema maybe due to pollen grass allergy as well (I'm from UK) my skin especially my neck and face are constantly red and inflamed, despite constant moisturising it has little effect, I'm constantly itchy and wake up to blood stains in my bed and shirt from overnight itching, the rest of my body such as chest, arms and back also have some brown/acne spots which I developed during the winter most likely from overuse of protein- whey protein powder, protein bars, yoghurts in an attempt to bulk up for the gym but these products contained dairy and whey sources and led to some inflammation

My daughter struggling with eczema since 6 months old. She is now 26 years old and still struggling every day with this horrible chronic problems. She gets sick a lot when her eczema flares up. She always feels embarrassed and wearing clothes to cover up her skin. I am her mother and I feel so sad, depress and overly stressed seeing my daughter constantly suffer from her skin problems. When its flared up, she also c/o breathing, lungs' problem, like little difficulty breathing, that she has to use an inhaler. She is very pretty and very kind lady. My daughter and I both work as a Registered nurse in an acute care hospital. Sometimes we have patients admit to us with a different diagnosis but also c/o eczema and for sure we both understand deeply how our patient feel and how much they struggle with daily itching, pain, depress, etc over this horrible ongoing problem, along with every day's problem in their lives. My daughter started this medication shots for the last 6 months, at least. She needs to see her allergist doctor for other treatments (her doctor said she will inject ALL allergens (those that she's tested allergic to), but she is very hesitant because she feels scare. She'is afraid has to go through struggling from itching, pain, etc. Can you give me suggestions what are the side effects if use these shots in a long run? I am so worried about her all the time and feel very depressed and desperate but try to keep myself positive so I can continue to help my daughter and our patients. Thank you for all your help.

Hi I'm 34 and have lifelong eczema dealing with flare ups often, and severe on my feet. I've managed it just ok, cos i drink and don't have the healthiest lifestyle. Among everything I've learnt the number 1 cause is stress and lack of rest. Exercise, stress control and good sleep is the cure. But it's very difficult as i work in corporate and stress is always there and don't always have time to exercise. I just saw my doctor 2 weeks ago for steroids again, i take them 1 to 2 times a year. But i kicked in to more exercise and dealing with work better and my flare up disappeared after a week without steroids. Hope this helps

I have three boys , my first was severely lactose intolerant from ages 1-2. He grew out of it . My second son, no issues. My third son , was breast fed the longest and has the worst eczema since age 1. He’s now 1.10. He’s been on cow milk , almond milk, goat milk, and NOTHING seems to help. I eliminated yogurt, cheese and even oatmeal, and and fork of sugar. Yesterday I switched him to lactaid milk(lactose free). Also I had been using Aquaphor, bag balm, Eucerin, Aveeno and even Desitin diaper ointment: nothing seemed to help! I finally put two and two together! He is probably very sensitive to the Lanolin so I bought the regular original Vaseline , I will see if that starts to help clear up the eczema and red rashes behind the knees, thighs, inner elbows, crevices of the feet.

As a bare minimum for healing gut related immune issues theres no avoiding cutting out all dairy and gluten. If what Im finding out about eczema and leaky gut is true then.. Its paleo and ultimately A.I.P. Auto Immune Paleo diet which is paleo + avoiding all nightshades, nuts and seeds for 30 to 60 days. Fish oil will also help ;)

Use Cerave in the tub. The original formula. We used aquaphor on my daughter’s eczema for years at recommendation of her pediatrician and then discovered it contained lanolin. She is allergic to lanolin. Vaseline is so greasy as is aquaphor that it made my daughter miserable. Cerave in the tub has worked better than anything. We’ve also used Vanicream which works but she prefers Cerave. I also eliminated all detergents and started buying real soap for her laundry from Cal Ben Soaps as well as goats milk lavender soap bar from Vermont soaps. Prior to this, she had severe eczema with steroid topical application every day. Now it’s mild after doing this for the last 12 years. She uses topical steroids maybe one time per month on a flare spot. Hope that helps.

Hello, my mom has eczema. She was diagnosed with it during her twenties, but she has it till now and she is 47. She went through diets, very hard and dangerous steroids and every year she visits a special spa for skin diseases. Nothing helps. Every time the eczema comes back. Its spread out on her fingers, but its not the usual dry rash, it seems like a wet infected injury. The wounds doesn´t hurt, but its a bit gross and it could repel some customers. They cant heal, because she is working as a hairdresser. We need the money and she can´t stop working so it´s not a solution. she is working with gloves and taking care when manipulating with chemicals all the time. Can you recomend a permanent or even a temporary solution?

Such an old video but it's information I needed as I have developed an eczema like rash all along the left side of my body and on my scalp. I was having trouble trying to figure out what it was because it had aspects of psoriasis, aspects of eczema and aspects of shingles. Thing was it didn't hurt like shingles. It didn't itch like eczema. No one thought it was psoriasis despite some thick plaques on my foot. But it was there and it hadn't changed or gotten better for 2 months.
I have done an elimination diet before. I found I was sensitive to gluten so I stopped eating it 12 years ago. Anyway I started two different protocols. My Doctor gave me an anti-fungal. I started taking up to 12 grams of Amla vitamin C per day. After 2 weeks on the vitamin C the rash started clearing up. Especially the thick plaques on the side foot. The red spotty rash is still there but seems to be fading slowly. My doc also alerted me to the idea that the spots could be slower to go as they may have created some hyperpigmentation on my skin. I'm still skeptical about my diagnosis because I have no itching to speak of and people say eczema is intensely itchy. I will take Dr. Hyman's advice though and look into other parts of my diet that may be inflammatory, get back on Omega 3 supplements and protect my skin barrier as much as I can.

However dupixent works on the inflammatory pathways within the immune system 🤷‍♀️ So do steroids (even though steroids are systemic and come with side effects) (side effect profile is apparently reduced with dupixent compared to steroids

I'd really love a more in depth video. I eat very healthy no gluten or dairy for many years and you said eczema has to do with your guy health which makes a lot of sense because I only started getting it after I began a SIBO diet for bloating which mostly was me taking oregano oil, activated charcoal, enzymes and berberine at each meal. My tummy got a lot smaller and I really gained control over my bloating but my skin became really itchy and I got these bumps on my outter elbows that soon turned into red stained ezsema.
I know this could be very specific but I'm driving my self crazy trying to figure out what's going on and so many things only just begun to touch the surface and it's frustrating and I don't understand - I want to.
My acne also became much worse especially on my back and arms and ingrown hairs on my legs. Only antioxidants and anti-inflammatories seem to help the eczema which I find the most bothersome however the anti-inflammatories and antioxidants seem to help my skin everywhere, not just the dry parts.
    Please help 💝
