Hi John, Thanks for all your great work. I have a question for you. What is the difference between using the citrus press to extract orange and pomegranate juice to using a vaccum blender.
There is a major difference: With the Sana press, it's SUPER SIMPLE, FAST, and EASEST to CLEAN! Of course with a Vacuum Blender, you can make a smoothie, which will keep all the fiber, and be a lot thicker and may not be as desirable for some people, the mixture will contain more nutrition and fiber than simply pressing out the juice as I show in this episode. If you want to vacuum juice citrus or Pomegranate, it is a lot more work, but will achieve a higher yield, and a more nutritious end product. I demonstrate this with Pomegranates in the video ua-cam.com/video/JXRgCTsdEqQ/v-deo.html So each method has its own set of pros and cons. Most times I use the press just because its an easier process, but sometimes I will vacuum juice citrus and poms if I have more time, and I rarely just blend them and drink with all the fiber, myself, as its too thick for my taste.
Hey John, thanks for making the video. I'm interested in buying this press, but I missed the Black Friday savings, and the $180 with the current discount is still a little Steep. Do you happen to know What times of year Sana usually has their biggest sales? Do you think there would be any coming up anytime soon? Or what about in July? Thanks!
The top cone that comes down to the OUTSIDE of the orange or pom, is made of Aluminum. The juice does not normally touch this since all the juice is directed down into the stainless steel cone and stainless steel funnel
I personally would rather use the Sana Citrus Press instead of the Nama Citrus attachment. I am a fan of the citrus "press" vs reamer style, personally since I find it faster and easier to clean. However, the way to juice citrus to get the MOST nutrition is shown in my Nama citrus attachment video at ua-cam.com/video/k6GJ8jreXfg/v-deo.html
I tried ordering it but the site wanted to charge me $31 for shipping despite the fact that they have a shipping policy page on their site that says shipping is free.
If this happens, and you are in the 48 US States, let them know after you place your order, and they will remove the shipping charge, since this item is suppose to ship FREE in the 48 US states, and their site has been having some issues with having this item ship free.

Pomegranates have anthocyanins, which is good for the gut mucosa (Black Mulberry and Blackberries have a lot more, but the season is much shorter)
Thank you, ordered mine tonight!

Is the top cone made of stainless steel S well?

Quick question john, can this press be used to squeeze out extra juice from the pulp of a another juicer such as a the j2 or the sana 727.
No, this juicer is NOT designed to press the pulp out of other juicers.

@@discountjuicers Yes, I contacted them and they got back to me immediately and reversed the shipping charge. Excellent customer service!
Now I see why pomegranate juice cost so much money
Why? I thought it was way more messy.. just cutting them in half and squeezing them is ridiculously easy
