All recipes call for creaming the sugar and butter / oil first, adding the eggs and then the milk. Lastly adding the dry ingredients. I sliced my apples thinly and put them in a pattern on the bottom. If you use a springform pan you can flip the cake and have the apples on top once the cake cools down. Looks very pretty as well.

If I do not have vanilla powder, can vanilla extract be used in its place? It's always nice to find GF recipes that are on the healthier side.
Can I substitute egg with flax seed egg or apple sauce?
