Prof.for your information, ISRO responded to Right to Information Act query, that it has only 2% IIT and NIT products. This shows ordinary engineering college products have achieved this feat.IIT,NIT products mainly they go abroad or join private sector to earn more money.
Respected Sir the difference can be seen here in this hall where not even 50 people gathered to listen to scientific rationale, had it been an Islamic sermon millions would gather as we see in TLP Rallies........loads of respect to your efforts from India......
Sir why are you stuck on Mughals?? Seems that's the reason why Pakistan never progressed. Your history started before Mughals but somehow you feel you from turks or arabs..
1)Stop going madarasa, 2) stop doing jihad, 3)protect minorities, 4) do respect other religions, 5)stop thinking yourself superior, 6) study true history.. and then you people think about scientific achievements 😊

Definition of scientist in ancient India was Rishis. Kanad rishi established the foundation of partical theory. Varah mihir founded theory of spherical astronomy, Aryabhatta founded theory of mathematical as well as spherical astronomy, Charak and Shushrut founded theory of biological and medical concepts including surgery etc. Please watch the video of ISRO chairman S Somnath when he opined recently in Bhopal University.

Where ignorance is bliss, wisdom is a liability. Where intolerance is fanned, reasoning is a liability. Where beggary is unabashed, self respect is a liability. Where false narratives are habitual, trust is a liability. Where religious extremism is piety science and technology is a liability. Finally, where desperation is palpable, isolation is a reality. I am an IITian myself and the most important thing that I understood is that to excel you need passion and self confidence, clarity and an unwavering focus.
SN Bose was a teacher in Dacca University when he contacted Einstein. The same Einstein didn't agree with Chandrasekhar contribution. MN Saha was senior to SN Bose.
Burka was not a common practice in India - never. It was forced on the Hindus due to ruthless islamic invasions. In fact Indian women occupied a higher status than men as the presiding deity of vedanta (the highest spiritual form of Hinduism is goddess , not god; ). This does not mean that women always had it that easy. Islamic invaders made Hindus realign their parctices to what is acceptable to ruthless islamic rulers ! Many muslims actually take pride in this, but what they oppressed was plural and liberal culture which valued eclecticism and syncretism
I have read the major Islamic texts and am able to connect with the behavior of Muslims, which is the actual issue. This doesn't only apply to Pakistani Muslims but is also relevant to Indian and Bangladeshi Muslims. In India, the participation of Muslims in the technology or corporate world is only 0.5-1%, and the participation of Muslim women is 0%.
Chandrayaan 3 has its unique engineering and scientific importance for India and India never downgraded other missions while comparing it with Chanrdayan 3.
INCOSPAR - The Indian National Committee for Space Research was founded in February 1962. TERLS - Thumba Equatorial Rocket Launching Station was founded in 1963, in Trivandrum, Kerala, and like with SUPARCO, the first rockets were sounding rockets. The first launch was in November 1963. At 8 degrees north of the geographic equator, TERLS is at a prime spot to study the ionosphere near the magnetic equator. Around 1965, India decided to develop its own launch vehicles, and the SSTC - Space Science and Technology Center - was formed in Trivandrum. The apex body for space research started with the Department of Atomic Energy, moved to PRL (Physical Research Labs) and ultimately in 1968, ISRO - the Indian Space Research Organization was formed. Dr Hoodbhoy confuses the apex body with the constituents. Pakistan, if it ever had a lead, is at most of a few months.
There's lots of Muslim scientist and engineers in Isro too not only Muslims but from all religions in India people are there but its matter of good education nd opportunities.
Prof you made a mistake of keeping Madarsa chaap Maulanas and Maharishis at the same level…While there is sky high difference between both of them…We had maharishi charak(Father of Medicine(Ayurveda)), Maharishi Sushruta(Founding father of surgery in india) he had tools to do surgery inspired from nature…we had Aryabhatta (who invented zero) and many more such people.
We live in a society exquisitely dependent on science and technology, in which hardly anyone knows anything about science and technology. Proud of you great Dr. Sab, We appreciate Indian scientists and engineers for such brilliant job...
Itna sukoon mujhe life me pahli baar mil rha hai ki padosi jo India ka pakka dushman desh hai wo hamari tareef kar rha ho , Jay Hind 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
I had the very doubtful privilege of supervising two Suparco sponsored Ph D research students. I only accepted them because they were sponsored by the Pakistani Government. They had no idea about what is involved in undertaking research. Nor could they put together more than 2 sentences of English. In spite of detailed supervision on a day to day basis and help with the writing of the thesis it took them more than 6 years to submit their theses. Both of them were the worst students I supervised during my academic career.
Actually Chandrayaan II had two components: A Moon orbiter which is still functional and a Lander which crashed. So Chandrayaan II was not a failure, but partial success/ partial failure. The Chandrayaan II orbiter will orbit the moon for a long time to come and keep the Chandrayaan II mission going. Its own output is successful and we continue to receive important research data.
Some correction - Most lunar missions, so far, targeted lunar equatorial region, not North polar region. Chandrayaan 3 landed in South polar region. Latest Russian mission failed at deorbiting phase while Chandrayaan 2 failed at fine braking phase.
In addition to what Prof. Parvez said , there is yet another thing: Hindus are profiundly curious and Pragmatic.. even with their Gods! This is at the heart of the India's Indian fascination with S&T
If you have so many issues with Indian technology then why don't you guys do it for your country? The only thing is that India is the first country to do soft landing in the south moon where there is availability of water. Our nation's ISRO team is so talented that with less expense we landed on the moon whereas no other nation could have done it. Moreover you are nowhere in competition with us
Space technology is helping reduce poverty. Therefore those who think space exploration and its allied activities are pure luxury and vanity projects need to educate themselves. This view has been expressed by several western journalists wrt India's advanced space program through which services are provided at lowest cost to the most remote parts of the country.
Vinod Dham is an Indian-American engineer, entrepreneur and venture capitalist. He is known as the 'Father of the Pentium Chip' for his contribution to the development of Intel's Pentium micro-processor[2][3][4] He is also mentor, advisor, and sits on the boards of companies, including startups funded through his India-based fund Indo-US Venture Partners,[5] where he is the founding managing director.
Mr hoodbuoy you are absolutely correct passing entrance IIT is tough, one of participant asked why student of pakistan are not able to compete? In my place there is one professor, professor offered one crore rupees in kota (an iit coaching centre)) looking to his abilities but he refused given reason though you are offering much more than my expectation but "i in this area only one who prepare students for IITs if i quit from this place this poor studens will left out because they are poor" this is the vision of our gurus in india
To your Surprise, (ISRO) Chairman S. Somanath visited the Sri Chengalamma temple in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh on July 13, 2023, the day before the launch of Chandrayaan-3:
Thank you, Hoodbhoy Sir, I am an Indian American and I really enjoyed the 1st few mins of this discussion where you explained how India managed to accomplish this in such low budget. I was really looking for this info and you explained it very well 🙏 One observation that in the beginning of the video, that guy specially requested everyone to switch off their phones, but I noticed that so many students sitting their were playing with their phones and some seemed not interested in what you have to say. And it is not a large audience.
He says science came in India with Angrejs it's absolutely not true because he studied in Pakistan and he didn't know about Ayabhatta , Susruta, Chankaya , and many of them
First Pakistani Channel which deserves True respect. This is the Truly educated show. Or else all the other channels which I watch have no understanding of space technology. Respect from India.
Appreciate what you are doing to kindle interest in science and tech in Pak, Dr. Hoodbhoy sir! As an Indian, hope and wish Pakistani ppl adopt science and rationality to get out of the situation where the world sees your ppl with suspicion...best ✌
Sridharacharya was a Rishi, and he invented the well known formula for getting the roots of quadratic equations.Yes it's true that we Indians don't mix Science and Religion. We never claim ourselves Best, but we always efforts honestly to become better.
Dr. Sahab thinks that the diversion between the trajectories of Hindus and Muslims happened after the Mughals. That's whack! The mutazallites were persecuted by Muslims much before that. Printing press was banned much before that. On the other hand, you have Bhaskara 1, Bhaskara 2, Aryabhatt, Brahmagupta and Varahamira.
He may be well read at the end he is a Pakistani. He can never acknowledge that India has achieved something very big( I agree we can do even more) but don’t compare India vs America or Japan. America started its industrialisation in late 18th and 19th century. Japan is heavily supported by America. Whatever India is its because of itself and it because of hard work of Indian
57:00 As per google (1) Professor's salary in Pakistan Rs.62, 022 per month. At 300 rupee rate it is about $206.74 (2) Professor's salary in India Rs 90,620 per month. At 80 ruppe rate $ 1,132.75
He is so I’ll informed about Hindus and it’s history. Even hindu Rishis and maha rishis were advocates of science. Eg aryabhatta, susrut and countless others
It is obviously clear that some "Hindu culture of debate" or "TARKA" or "call it introspection" is still living inside Pakistan. It is honestly great to see that. Just do these things more frequently. Because, you are just the Converted Hindus, after all.
It's also the culture of astronomy and science of India which is over 5000 years old. India respects their scientists and engineers. Sad to say but in Pakistan if you look at history scientists and intellectuals are ridiculed.
The Golden Age of Islam, which saw a flourishing of science, notably mathematics and astronomy, especially during the 9th and 10th centuries, had a notable Indian influence.
Pervez sir should tell their students ISRO is not competing NASA/JAXA , it was created for development of India, and making a place for India in space sector which it has achieved. Reaching mars and landing a rover is MOM2 mission, NASA is far ahead of everyone, thing is USA is advanced in everything from defence sector to aerospace. NASA is connected ESA always, these guys are developing themselves on their own with helping each other while ISRO has to everything alone.
half people are using phones..while a one man trying to educate you so hard and now we know why they are unsuccessful..they dont know power of education 😮💨 hope they will understand it
29:35 look how enthusiastic he is talking about Abdus Salam. This man loves science! It really pains me to think that Pak never gave its scientific talent the respect and recognition they deserved.
54:37 explains it all. It is the basis of all the differences these two nations have. Furthermore, Rishis-Munis had a scientific temperament e.g. medical, geometrical, etc and much of the astronomical, and mathematical knowledge went to Europe via Arab.
Dr. Pervez Hoodbhoy, you are not only a great physicist, you understand sociology and it’s effect on education as well. I always believe that money spent on education is not expenditure, it’s investment in future. The nations, which understand and evolve with the changes, can prosper and grow, with their heads held high.
Dr Hoodbhoy ji, its wonderful that you chose this event and congratulated the efforts of our scientists. You, as a highly educated man of science, can understand and appreciate more than the rest of us, what a complex operation this was and how many things could have gone wrong. ISRO's past record has proven that we are a space power, our future missions will cement that fact. Next week is the launch of our mission, Aditya L1, to study the Sun and in the next two yrs many new space travel missions will happen. And as Modi ji said, and we Indians believe, the results of this historic mission will, and should be shared for all of humanity to learn and benefit from. Our core belief is 'Vasudev Kutambakam'...the world is one family! I really enjoy and learn from the many different programs of The Black Hole... A wonderful platform which more Pakistani should watch and educate themselves. All the best Sir ji, good to see so many people there! 🙏 🇮🇳
When your student greet teacher with assalamualaikum,,science ripped off there In india we don't have guts to say jai shree ram or any religious dialogue to greet teacher In shorts thats why u guys are here💀

First time I thought Sir downplayed what India did, sounds like, not like big deal. But still like listening to him
When Kashmir Fatah, Jihaad and Sponsoring terrorism is main focus so why this discussion and comparison.
Beyond the engineering, it is deep knowledge of astronomy and mathematics and the laws of physics. Precision is the key here.

The whole atmosphere is look like 80's
pak is borned to see India's progress.
I am so proud on satish dhawan ❤ vikram sarabhai❤ Homi bhabha ❤ Apj Abdul Kalam
The Golden Age of Islam, which saw a flourishing of science, notably mathematics and astronomy, especially during the 9th and 10th centuries, had a notable Indian influence.
When you believe earth is flat what else can happen
As an Indian i love and respect this man and this conversation happening in pakistan🥰 knowledge has no boundary. And respected everywhere. 🇮🇳🙏
I'm guessing more people watches his intellect from India, then from Pakistan.
half people are using phones..while a one man trying to educate you so hard and now we know why they are unsuccessful..they dont know power of education 😮💨 hope they will understand it
Guys...trust me. This is beyond ur imagination. Pls stick with Kashmir, Jihad and Islam. Ignorance is always a bliss. Don't stress too much 😂😂😂
29:35 look how enthusiastic he is talking about Abdus Salam.
Irony only indians are seeing this video😢
Dr. Pervez Hoodbhoy, you are not only a great physicist, you understand sociology and it’s effect on education as well. I always believe that money spent on education is not expenditure, it’s investment in future. The nations, which understand and evolve with the changes, can prosper and grow, with their heads held high.
Even a primary school teacher in India has to prepare the lession at home before presentation.
Very important message for pakistani.... should be shared.
Best of luck from India 🎉
A society where you can't criticize stupid beliefs openly but you want to go to moon 😂
Respect you sir from India ❤
Me bhi IIT se hu, ISRO me majorly Non IITans hote hai
