    I had a K-80 for couple years and ended up selling it. I’m now shooting a DT11 and I would be lying if I said I missed the K-80. The beretta kicks less, patterns better and is tighter and stronger. I like Krieghoff guns but after having one I was underwhelmed with the build and performance of it.

      No heartache here with that decision. There are so quite a few great choices in this price range that you can't go wrong with and mostly turn into personal preference for feel, performance, confidence etc. Will try to get a blaser overview done this year as well. Thanks for being a subscriber!

      Other way round for me had nothing but trouble with DT11’s to the point where I ditched them and ‘upgraded’ to the K80. Never looked back, IMHO different league altogether.

    Beautiful shotgun. I tried shooting an o/u and just can’t get used to the feel of it. I like being able to look under and around.

      Definitely something folks can easily get used to for sure but I know what you mean, shot a A400 today for just a local shoot and it's always nice to be able pick one up.

    That was a very nice presentation and the K80 is a very impressive shotgun. However I'm 70 now and while I can use a 8 lbs. 12 gauge in a 12 gauge event I cannot used an 8 lbs. shot gun for all 4 events and the Doubles in Skeet. Currently I use an 8.4 lbs. Citori for 12 gauge, a 7.5 lbs. 686 20 gauge fore the 20 gauge events. and finish up with a 6.5 lbs. 28/410 687 combo set. This allows me to be nice and fresh for the final event no matter what the gauge is. What I would really like to have would be a scaled 20 gauge K80 with a 7-lbs. net weight. Because I can see the day coming soon when I'll have to stop shooting the 12.
    Point is us geezers do need lighter guns and it may benefit Krieghoff to fulfill that need.

      Absolutely! The K-20 would typically fit that bill however it's closer to 8lbs than it is 7 but they do handle like a dream. Will take a look at making a video on that gun as well!

      Thank you for the feedback! Been trying to keep things going as it's just me (JP) now. I'm actually glad you asked! I had heard from a bunch of folks to include Dan at Castellani that people were asking so I had a "Squad" Logo designed I planned to announce in March! What's your email I'll send it your way. Planned to reach out to Barepelt to offer it if they would like.

    Beautiful- but why laser checkered stocks ??????????????????

  • @FYMM69
    @FYMM69 6 місяців тому +1

    Wish Krieghoff made a Monte Carlo stock for the parcour barrels. 32” Pro sporters are bit too slow to get moving on crossers compared to the 34”parcour tubes

    • @claylabusa
      @claylabusa  6 місяців тому +1

      Have you tried a sporter stock on a parcours? Onle mention it cause I have played around with that myself

    • @FYMM69
      @FYMM69 6 місяців тому +1

      @@claylabusa i currently have an K80 ACS (32” pro sporter barrels with #6 Monte Carlo stock) which is fine but comb is too high (100%) with the 34” parcour barrels. So what stock are you referring to

    • @claylabusa
      @claylabusa  6 місяців тому

      A #3-ADJ for flexibility in comb height as it's got a built in "Monte carlo". I know some have tried it but they typically end up swapping it out for a parcours stock or custom as the shooter is trying to build in a higher point of impact through a visual means and the gun is not designed for that. It's made to be a flat shooting barrel to work everything On the line and not floating a target regardless of the distance. If someone had really low cheekbones then it could help but not what the parcours was set up for....editing a parcours video that may hopefully address that

    • @FYMM69
      @FYMM69 6 місяців тому

      @@claylabusa I look forward to seeing your video !! Shooting trap for many years I prefer a parallel,Monte Carlo and not a sloped sporting stock, I know the #6 has 1-5/8” drop but it needs to be lower to achieve less than the current 100% POI. My goal is 50-60% and have a beautiful skeet stock with adj comb that I’m getting desperate enough to remove the comb hardware, glue comb down and start the bondo thing to see what I can achieve on my own. Being in Canada the few stock makers we have are extremely expensive that isn’t an option for me.
