Absolutely brilliant series of videos showing just how special these guns are and the skills of the people that make them. I bought my first Krieghoff 2 days ago (used) and already love it to bits. Having watched these films today, it somehow feels even more special. Thank you both for bringing the world of Krieghoff onto our screens.👍
A huge admiration to the community, level of skill and the long term investment of Kreighoff. Not a company that necessarily lives in the past, but one that values the skills in making an excellent product with passion, as well as looking to the future. I don’t think I can afford one, but I now understand and support its worth. An excellent series of videos which must have been a huge project to put together. Thank’s to your team in filming this and the team at Krieghoff.
This was an outstanding series! Krieghoff's commitment to excellence is refreshing in this world where everything seems to be a race to the bottom for how cheaply and quick something can be produced. They prove there are still companies that strive for perfection!
I would never have believed this unless I had seen it. German engineering and quality at it very best... Superb series must have been incredible to be there for this. Thanks for taking the time to make this and letting us see this for real....
Really enjoyed that, excellent workmanship. Truly skilled people and it’s great to see the skills being passed on. Even a bit of German humour with the eyes watching all !
The level of engineering and attention to detail shown here is one of the reasons I shoot and own a K80, the other reason is the service from Alan Rhone! Top class as always guys! Thanks for your hard work on this one 🙏
I saw the three parts of Krieghoff Factory Tour, what a process!!! Not surprised anymore that it can deliver this piece of beauty. Comprehensive review by the way.
Lloyd, thank you so much for taking us through this journey, into the world of Krieghoff. It has been a life time of ambition to own my own Krieghoff K-80, and I have only just recently taken possession of one of these beautiful guns. Its an amazing second hand K-80 built in 1997, moreover, it is one of the most beautiful base model K-80's I've ever seen. I'm was so lucky to have had the opportunity to buy it. I've been asked many times over the past month, why spend all that money on a K-80, when there are so many other guns available and at much lower cost. I can only explain the Krieghoff experience one way. You must first shoot as many different high quality guns from other manufactures as you can. Try them all, and shoot them extensively, obtain the best feel for each gun as time and money permits. This could take some time, maybe a year or two. It's only then, can you truly feel the difference in build quality, fit, and shoot-ability that the Krieghoff K-80 provides. We all have our favourite gun manufactures, and this is a good thing, variety is truly, the spice of life. I can't say that any one firearm is better than any another. Its all up to the experience of the shooter. What I will say, is that I'm so glad that one day a long time ago, I was invited to shoot one of these magnificent hand built guns, and the seed was sown. I am so proud to say, I am now a member of the Krieghoff Family. Hats off to you Lloyd for a wonderful series.😀
I am not into guns but thoroughly enjoyed watching this series the level of craftmanship is incredible and those guns are simply works of art. The level of craftmanship that goes into them is truly amazing and it is clear these guys have a real passion for their work.
Just want to say thanks for these factory tour videos. From someone who is on the other side of the world (Australia) I'd never get to see anything like this. Cheers 🍻 Adrian.
A fellow shooter owns three Krieghoff shotguns and is very satisfied. Krieghoff is excellent and pure craftsmanship, but it also has its price. An interesting report. Thank you.
Wow, this has been a complete eye opener for me again. This company has not just demonstrated product excellence, but also public engagement and old school gunsmith skills with technology based manufacturing. Some might say that German companies have no passion or soul. but after this video, wouldn't you just trust the fact that they will build you the gun that have always wanted and more to the highest standard, . Where can I order one ?? Great video . Well done Mr P.
I took classes in checkering as a part of my formal gunsmithing training and it is soo much harder than everyone thinks. I once saw an old webley double that started out with small diamonds and they went up by 25% after 100 lines, every 100 lines. It blew my mind. The book said it took almost 6 months to lay out and make the tooling for it. Still cant afford a $20k double rifle but this was awesome.
I’m not a lover of the aesthetics of a Krieghoff but you can’t argue with how they’re built. Brilliant to see how it is all done. Thanks for not trying to make this a 30 minute video Lloyd.
I take the off cuts from running the stock through the band saw and make accessories / tools for the gun with them. Those slabs that he through in the trash would make fantastic boxes to go into the gun case.
Brilliant series! Thank you for putting this together and I hope to see more videos from you in this format. Anyone who has owned a Krieghoff understands the quality and seeing the care/soul of the employees makes you proud to play your small part. "Basically a Browning". Said no one... of any significance! 😜
Well That was just fantastic Lloyd So much information and the attention to detail was mind blowing The craftsmanship is brilliant and there so engineered to the next the next level That mind my mind up Lloyd that was just brilliant content, so enjoyable to watch Well done sir 👏
I know one thing for sure . If I was cutting on a piece of wood as nice and as expensive as that stock ! I wouldn't want any distractions like two guys in my ear and a camera in my face ! What a nice piece of wood !
Just as good as episode 1 and 2 great watch and very informative. Very special guns some will never understand the value of quality and engineering. But that’s ok some of us do !
Great 3 part series, As someone who is waiting for a K80 to show up I was highly intrigued. But as a mere mortal who can not afford a custom stock I wished you would have done a bit of an add on for the process involved in a 1-4 grade stock selection and build. Like you did with the Perazzi factory tour. Cheers Lloyd!
Really interesting and so in-depth, do you know if the Blaser factory is run on the same lines. Is there a chance we could see a Blaser tour in the future .👍
Oh my goodness...What a phenomenal series!!! I would advise not doing another maker...They will pale in comparison. THANK YOU for the world class content!
Wow. Must be nerve wrecking to work on that bandsaw with a customer selected piece of unique wood. So much that can go wrong along the entire process. I tip my hats to you sir... What a gun. One Day.... Maybe... 😅
It's very difficult to mic a number of people in a busy, noisy factory environment. Try it yourself sometime, I spent months on the audio alone for these videos.

Krieghoff.
Do you see a practical difference in 20 and 12 gauge for hunting?
My brother have a special handmade hunting rifle made for him in Suhl.
Any chance you could do a tour at Fabarm?
If someone would like to pay for it, sure.
