WOW! I am SO EXCITED to have come across your AMAZING channel, Marie, and you can bet I have definitely subscribed and am looking forward to watching every single one of your videos AND buying your book....YOU'RE AN AMAZING TEACHER, thank you! Okay, I have a QUESTION, PLEASE: Is this makeup formulation suitable for mature skin? I don't want to go through the process of making it and buying products for it if it won't work for someone with a lot of wrinkles. My only concern was how it appeared to really grip on your skin in lieu of "typical" non-transfer-resistant formulations; thus my concern with spread-ability and coverage without it "sticking" into wrinkles and me not being able to easily spread it.....does this make sense?? I hope to hear from you and THANK YOU, AGAIN!! Big hugs from Texas!

I love your content! Thank you for being such an informative, thorough and beginner-friendly source for foundational (& more!) info. It’s obvious how much time, effort and thought goes into your product formulas, encyclopedia, videos and postings. What you do is SO impressive and helpful!
I have a suggestion for a type of product to be formulated. I’ve noticed that a particular-ish kind of cosmetic has been gaining traction. They’re soft luminizer/facial tint hybrid products, which give users that prized dewy skin look while also providing light coverage. Some tout additional benefits with qualities of a primer and/or SPF as well. Product (type) I’ve noticed trending:
    •Charlotte Tillbury Hollywood Flawless Filter
•Joah Tinted Glow Crystal Luminizer Stick
•Maybelline Instant Age Rewind 4 in 1 Glow Perfector
    • Neutrogena Healthy Skin Radiant Booster Primer & Serum
To name a few…and of course there are many more similar products out there. Something that can be easily applied with hands or tools, and is a lightweight, looks-like-skin, low coverage, healthy glow (but not glitter…more “hydrated skin radiance”), moisturizing kind of thing for everyday wear and super easy to use.
Perhaps this plants a seed in your mind, should you ever want to attempt a formula for this kind of product. 😁

Hi, Marie. Is that correct that "Silica Dimethyl Silylate" prevents the foundation from settling into fine lines? Hi Marie! I am addicted to your channel( was introduced to it through my studies with Formula Botanica). You saved my seriously dry chapped lips with your nourishing lip mask. So THANK YOU! I am in your debt for that! So I had a question about formulating foundation. I live in Sweden(But I am an American girl- husband is Swedish) and the EU is getting ready to ban all titanium dioxide in foods(anything edible) in August. I read recently that it might be also banned in makeup in the future. But really don't know if that's true. However I'd love to try formulate a makeup without the titanium dioxide. What do you think is a good replacement? It seems like it is one of the best ingredients to use in foundation... I was looking at the brand Omiana and they have a mineral powder that is without Mica and Titanium Dioxide. Seems like they have a blend of Kaolin clay and Zinc oxide. Do you have any thoughts on trade offs for titanium dioxide?
Thanks for all the lovely inspiration you give through your channel!

    • @theresefrancis9283

You'd want to make the mineral makeup with less (or no) sericite mica :) Trying to add more pigment to this will make it really hard to work with-you might be able to get away with another 5%, but that won't give the same coverage boost as going back to the mineral makeup. Happy making!

The first place is in the description box below the video-this is simply the ingredient list and quantities.
The second place is in the free partner blog post that is always linked in the description box below my videos. This contains far more information; the instructions are written out, there's links to places to purchase the ingredients, and there's information on substitutions and scaling.
All of my formulation videos have more information in the description box and partner blog post-please make sure you check them out to learn as much as possible.
      Happy making!

Hello, Ms. marierayma, I discovered you with your UA-cam videos, they are wonderful, I am a person living in Turkey and I can write you this article thanks to translation, but the problem is that your books are not in Turkey, unfortunately, and I am very sorry and I always take screenshots and try to understand because there is no subtitle and translation in your videos, believe me. You have a great energy, I love it financially, I'm having a hard time here because of the exchange rates. I want to make the products, but the materials are very expensive. I don't know where to start, but please pray this is a great job. I really want to do it.. I would be very happy if you could get back to me..

The ingredients have very chemical names... as in: not sounding so natural. Polyamide? That is not natural, is it? I’m a first time visitor and really like the DIY community... i make my own deodorant and toothpaste for decades now. But I would like to ramp up with natural bodycare and make-up.
