Excellent video. Now i'm gonna get this kit for my 69 Firebird.
Thank you so much for the support! You will love how your car feels with this body mount kit.
Thanks Doug, Your video is the best instruction with out the car being apart.
Thank you for the support!
I wish mine was this easy..all 4 on the firewall/floor just spin..having a hell of a time getting these out.
Just love all your videos Doug. You explain it so easy. Paul Satterlee
Glad you like them!
Nice video! Very informative and well done on steps on this video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you Master for your help and one more thing, you are very talented and very helpful to explain.
You are very welcome!
Super helpful video, mine came right out and went back in without any PB Blaster or prying.
glad it helped!
Wow great video thanks!
Glad you liked it!
Thank you!
You're welcome!
I changed mine in my '68 Firebird. It didn't go as easily as you've depicted, but I got 'r done. It's a doable one person job.
I hear ya, I replaced them on my Nova, I could not separate the frame from the body as it showed here , and I loosened them just as he showed. And here too I got it done. But not without a fight.
Awesome work congrats !
Ok I hope mine go as easy as you made it look!
good luck!
english is not my 1st language but i'm near bilingual and its explained very well easy to understand and good quality for the video .... mine i have bolt stuck in the frame where the bushing are under the floor ... i dont know how to remove it if the stock in the frame because the rust, can be able to remove it with a air gun
Great english, and thanks for the compliment! For the most accurate response to your question give our tech line a call! 877-470-2975
6:33 That grounding strap is getting a workout. Looks like a straight forward intall.
Pretty straight forward!
Hi Doug, nice explanation. Can I use the same procedure on my '78 Camaro Z/28 ? Thanks....

Thanks for the video! Any need to disconnect the steering column to gear box coupler (rag joint) when doing the divers side?
I've done this on my 69 Z. no need to mess with the column.
Just follow along to the video!
What size wood did you use to lift the body- Is that a 4x4 ?
Will this process work for most GM coupes?
Use Rubber bushings poly bushings transmits a lot of road noise.
intresting!
Aren’t these aluminum!? Did this guy think he was looking at poly bushings?
i agree
Planning to replace body mounts in 68 firebird. Should I expect to have to have body panels realigned?
In most cases you should not have to expect body panel movement. Depends on how bad your old bushings are.
What about lining it back up plumb?
Do you have a kit for second gen?
I own a 79.

Will the same process be similar to a b-body Chevy? 71 caprice
That is a good question, we would love to answer your question via phone call, our Tech Experts number is 877-470-2975
Won't those solid mounts transfer all the road vibrations into the car?
Actually it is no different then riding in a uni-body car.
For the torque you say 100 for 5/8 and 75 for 1/2 . My bolt is 7/16 : what is your advice ? thank !
hmmmm give my tech line a call so they can help you out with that question!! 877-470-2975!
Is there no need to align the subframe after replacing the bushings? It seems if all six bolts are loose at the same time, the subframe could shift.
For the most accurate response to your question give our tech line a call! 877-470-2975
Then it wouldn’t bolt back together…dumbass
What are your bushings made out of? They look and sound metallic. Are they aluminum or are they polyurethane perhaps. Thank you .

Is there a compatible kit for the A bodies?
No there is not.We do custom only, like when we are building a car for someone. We have tried to offer such kits in the past but there are to many discrepancies with all the different a-bodies. When you use rubber or poly, the bushing deforms to fit. Solids -- we don't have that luxury. The F-bodies because of the short frame and consistency have never been a problem. Thank You
too bad, but I very much appreciate that someone took the time to answer, and actually give me some reasoning behind it. Thanks!
You pot the factory shim on first and it was on top when you took it off does that not matter?

Think about that for a minute
Does it drive better
It should feel better!
why not make a kit to replace the spacer/shims like on the chevy novas? many of those cars end up with them lost or broken.
We do make these for 68-72 Nova and 75-79.
I’m talking about the spacers. Like on the 68-72 novas the mounts at the firewall have a 1/2” spacer. Those usually get lost or broken. In this video you say to reuse them. I know it’s easy enough to make or purchase something to replace them but why not just offer them in a kit. I know of only 1 company that does.
Will this work on a 70 Camaro?
Its designed for a 69 camaro!
I have one question….who makes the best body mounts…you guys or Detroit Speed?? 😆
We do of course hahahaah !
true but not easy
nothing is easy!
you dont have them for 64-72 A body I have 65 gto going to replace the body mounts
give my sales line a call!
O
👍👍👍👍
Loosen all of the bolts. On my 69 Camaro , all are ruster and just snap off. Replaces is a full time job not a past time like you indicated . NOT FUN!!
ahahahahahah good luck!
Half-assed junk. Don't waste your money.
Sorry you feel that way. However, nothing here is "half-assed" We have a great team of quality control, cnc programmers, and welders that keep this company going. Who we truly appreciate. We even give a limited lifetime warranty on some of our products to back up our word. Reach out via phone call if you need anything or any help. Leaving a inaccurate comment doesn't really help anyone.
