Fun fact kishimoto actually intended for Tsunade and Pain to have a big battle but he changed his mind because he thought it would take away from Naruto’s fight with Pain
The way people despise Tsunade is ludicrous. She's just and has the guts to state facts. This is the woman who was motivated by the death of her loved ones to establish the medical system and went on to treat countless nasty war-inflicted wounds. No one seems to give her enough credit to the duality of her power. Add Tsunade to the Akatsuki and you can say farewells to all villages. It doesn't take a medical specialist to understand the horror she witnessed being in her past position, which might have been far more traumatizing than what Pain saw. Pain lost his family to Konoha shinobis and his comrades to powerful foes and he chose to do the SAME to innocent villagers. He planned to gather resources to create an ultimate weapon to eliminate all opposition. If he were such an all-knowing god, why would he do something that would equate him with his past oppressors, which would indirectly justify their wrongdoings? At this point, he was indeed a terrorist and he would have erased the village anyway. With the exception of the first Hokage, all other kages would have been powerless against his last blow. Tsunade was the only one who could have safeguarded the lives of the villagers. Had she recklessly fought Pain like some myopic suggestions, the Leaf would have been all the way dead. Hinata would have never lived to trigger that emotional eruption. Naruto would have come home to bones and ashes. A hollow victory with no meaning. Tsunade is a human being fighting the first presentation of a god. There was only so much she could do. Even Naruto at the point was not enough to actually take Pain on.
I think what pain went through was far more traumatizing considering those were his parents and he was so young on top of the fact that he lived in a war zone for a good chunk of his life so anything Tsunade saw pain likely saw and 1000 times more than Tsunade ever did without any escape from those sights. I think you don’t understand pain’s philosophy and pains actions. Pain mainly tormented the past rulers of his village and he did kill some civilians through his authoritarian rule but that was nothing compared to what the five nations did to that village. All that happened was they couldn’t speak out against him and had to work for him meanwhile the five nations annihilated the village killing soldiers and civilians alike while destroying any resources or infrastructure people could use to survive. Sure he wasn’t a good leader but he didn’t do what the leaf did to them, he only did what the leaf did back. As for the weapon, it wasn’t to destroy opposition it was to end war. He already had the means to destroy any village who dared oppose him as was seen in this arc (in which he could’ve chosen to have kept fighting and won with the help of Konan). The only reason that weapon would exist in his eyes would be to scare everyone into never fighting another war again similar to what nuclear bombs have done for the modern world. We don’t treat the scientists that created that weapon as we see pain despite the fact that they led to the real deaths of hundreds of thousands. Why? Because tens of millions would’ve died without them. In my view this is the aspect of pains ideology that’s right but you distorted it to the point where it’s not even remotely related.
@@PersonaofWill actually it is this is a cause and effect situation leaf village and other villages don't fight pointless wars in his village no pain, no pain equals no destruction of the leaf
Lady Tsunade Fan I mean, not to defend a guy that was clearly insane but he made several good points about how war benefited the stronger nations so it wasn't all bs; it's more like Tsunade was far more hardened than Naruto.
Lady Tsunade Fan you're missing the point. Even if his grievances were legitimate, Nagato was basically a kid looking for attention, just like Naruto was when pulling his pranks, so he could understand his views better and he made doing this a priority, while Tsunade had her own in making sure her village survived Nagato's "prank".
It's simple tsunade doesn't have the mindset naruto has naruto actually listened to pains words cause understood them tsunade is no different than the third hokage ignorant and stuck in their ways the leaf got big off pains people suffering saying that her village and it's people suffered like pains did it complete and utter bullshit
If I were to look at this through Tsunade's perspective, she has indeed experienced her fair share of pain, ranging from the loss of both her little brother and the man she loved, and not only that, it's likely she also knew Minato and Kushina, and the loss of both of them hit her just as much as it did Jiraiya. She also lived through two great ninja wars, and the ever growing amount of pain and loss that came with it, so living through all of that pain allowed her to understand just how cruel the world is. However, she never once saw the way all of that pain affected the people she was fighting, how it must've made them feel to lose the ones they cared about. Hell, she was thinking the same thing Orochimaru was when Jiraiya allowed Konan, Yahiko, and Nagato to be his students, which was to kill them. Now, unfortunately, I can also agree with Nagato's point of view. Being at the center of the hostility between the Five Great Nations, the Hidden Rain Village was a war zone with no end to the suffering that would come from the violence. And Nagato saw just how horrifying war is after watching his parents die in front of him, and then learn what it means to kill, and the power that he had deep inside of him. And finally, witnessing the death of his best friend. Though vastly different in terms of what happened to both of them, both have experienced enormous amounts of pain and suffering in their lives, but neither could come to understand each other, because all they could understand was violence. Nagato understood pain as an avenue for peace, but he didn't understand empathy for those that have experienced pain the same way he has. All he understood was what war had taught him, which is just to exact more vengeance and pain on others that he believed deserved it, not because of what they did, but because he just couldn't stop spreading hate and anger on children and adults who have only been doing what they need to to survive.
@@musicsyndrome1413 pain felt, because of the powers he had, that it was his duty to be the one to save the world from the big nations and wars... Coz god is not doing anything, he may have thought he needs a new god that will actually do sth and thus was "God" born. Pretty interesting

I hated the war and i loathed the world that had produced it. But... at the same time, i thought if war could be stopped, hatred would disappear as well... that would bring peace to this world. Just because of the foolishness and ego of the other great villages his family and his village was destroyed. He wanted to create peace by eliminating everyone in the world because of the hatred everyone held. You can't deny that everyone in the Naruto universe did hate someone or a type of people. When he gains world dominance, they're won't be hatred because there won't be anyone who hate him, because the akatsuki would be ruling the world. Then the cycle of hatred and the world would be rectified. A new world and dominance would arise and that would lead to not having separate villages and having the whole shinobi world under the akatsuki's control. This makes everyone equal and not having different villages gaining and having greed for power, when the akatsuki are the leaders of the shinobi world. The Akatsuki have a group of people with high chakra and half of em are close to immortal. They would have full control of the world with the infinite tsukinomi and no one would start wars because they are living in the control of Madara and the akatsuki. Tsunade is a human
being fighting the first presentation of a god. There was only so much she could do. Even Naruto at the point was not enough to actually take Pain on.
This needs more likes
Amazingly true
TAKE YOUR TIME PASTOR !!
Her character development reminds me of the same development as Princess Leia from Star Wars.
Let's all agree that alot of what pain says is true. It can also be applied to what happens in real life.

Interesting how Pain's speech nearly broke Naruto but not Tsunade
Lady Tsunade Fan I mean, not to defend a guy that was clearly insane but he made several good points about how war benefited the stronger nations so it wasn't all bs; it's more like Tsunade was far more hardened than Naruto.
Lady Tsunade Fan did Tsunad's rule as Hokage extend any help to this nations? Naruto's did because he actually bothered listening to Pain.
Lady Tsunade Fan the sand is a big nation and I'm talking about directly giving humanitarian aid, as it was stated in Boruto that Naruto did.

Just because of the foolishness and ego of the other great villages his family and his village was destroyed. Headcannon, it was Tsunade saying that the great nations have suffered that made him destroy the village instead of just calling the whole thing a wash and going to find Naruto
Isn't that what literally happened? She pissed him off and he decided to do it.
I hated how he pretends like no one else knows pain. Tsunade has suffered more than enough yet he says know pain
Ikr! Tsunade became an orphan after the 1st great ninja war ended and mito took care of her, she lost her younger brother, then the man she loved, then her friend (and i believe she had some feelings for jiraiya in the end). But still what Nagato suffered was quite bad. But compared to tsunade, tsunade has suffered more pain
@@Srinidhi127 Not even close. Tsunade was not originally an orphan. Tsunade was pampered by her grandfather and parents before they died, but lost her brother and her lover and endured the horrors of war before going on a gambling spree. Pain was born in poverty, watched his parents die, struggled to steal to survive in a broken poor country, was raised as a child soldier along with his friends to defend himself, watched his best friend and dreams of peace die, and eventually went on a spree of killing. You tell me who suffered more?
@@EmptyMan000 lemme get this straight, the amount of people someone loses in their lives has nothing to with how much they suffered. When I say that Tsunade suffered more, I meant not actually blaming someone else for it and seeking revenge like Nagato. Pain is pain. But how someone tries to get rid of it, shows if they are still going through it or not. Tsunade never moved on which made her suffer more, Nagato partially moved on by killing the person who killed his friend, and also by destroying Konoha. If anything, Nagato had this mindset that no one else suffered more than him, which is completely wrong. How much happens to you will never determine whether you or the other person suffered more, how much longer you stick on to it shows how much you suffered.
@@Srinidhi127 🥱 come up with something better
@@shido_rimru_ facts he sounds mad dumb
Don't underestimate the Five Kage?? Apart from Gaara and the man who invented the Lazer beam i had no doubt you'd win
Then everyone was proven wrong huh
See just seeing all the opinions in the comments reslly solidifies it for me....this is the best src of naruto. Yes evrrything Pain says can be applied to the real world. Yes Tsunade and Nagato both have valid points. Its one of, like, the FOUR times watching anime where i really had to stop and be like...."FUCK". Just so pwerful and meaningful. I truly believe this is the best scene in all of anime. Aside from Spike Spiegel's goodbye. But I'll admit thats just bias....
1:11 😅😅😅 pain not in right mind
'How did You know where he was??'
'I didn't but you just confirmed it lul kthxbye'

“Lulled by peace you have become shallow”
What’s this episode
Since I’m pretty sure everyone is watching boruto now everything pain was saying was right.
Fans! Obito was using Pain!
Me: pretty sure Pain gave 0 fucks about Moon eye rin girl jutsu!
Obito in fact used him however pain intended to fight it out after they revive the ten tails
After all obito wanted to achieve the infinite tsukuyomi and pain wanted to use the ten tails as a weapon of mass destruction
@@musicsyndrome1413 Which means they would have foughten over the ten tails!!
No later on it is said that even Nagato wanted the eye of moon plan he was just lying about this and obits didn't exactly use pain he just manipulated him to believe the world is shit and all
@@Coolguy-or8ex Before konan and Obito fought! Obito said you BOTH agreed on my moon plan! Which means they agreed on it years ago! But Nagato later on was thinking different! Nagato also said like twice. Yahiko's dream became his dream! Also Konan said to Obito i've been watching you for years of how your ability works! She wouldn't be watching him for that long if she planned to kill him one day! Also Konan was even probably telling Pain over the year about her feeling towards Obito. Thinking he can't be trusted. But there's no proof of that part.
@@delix787 yeah you have a point but I still think he wanted the eye of moon plan but was going to betray obito in the end but obito still did manipulate him to believe that reality was cruel and that peace couldn't be achieved through ideal means
Minato couldn’t even protect them from that.. kakashi couldn’t, I think lord 1st could cause he can do anything.. not sure lord 2econd or third could’ve protecting the lives from being loss. Who cares about the damage the literal lives were saved. Only Suna could have done that
It was just like this when my parents were cute right before my eyes my parents died all because of the shinobi war that your hidden start why is it always like this once you've been hurt you learn what it is to hate but if you hurt another you become hater and you shoulder a sense of guilt however it's because one Understands Pain such as that that one becomes generous toward others what you all call peace is only one through violence against us how can i believe in shariah's words after all of this there will never be such as true peace not as long as we're forced to live in this accursed world peace is impossible impossible i think i shall believe in you after all seems this is the end for me...
some places in the Shinobi world are inconceivable! Amegakure, and Kirigakure, are two of the worst places to live, the difference between Pain and the rest of the antagonists, is that he was forced to get blood on his hands. And once you cross the line there is no way to get back, the circumstances made him a monster..
He's more than antagonists, Pain is a victim couldn't do anything about it, he're helpless in front of that shit. Then he fell into the pit of despair, but nobody would help him, no one extended his/her hands in order to help him. Instead, all he would get are either insults, fears, hatred, or all of those at the same time, making the pit of despair deeper and impossible to get out of. He expected Justice, but then found the same thing as what I found, that Justice in human hands is Injustice in and of itself, and it's an absolute law of nature which cannot be overruled in any way. That's why he stopped being nice and stopped hoping for anything. Instead he tried to give the world their middle fingers. He stopped caring about everything, and if he will going to get destroyed anyway, why not drag the world with him? That way, he at least feel that he accomplished something, that he finally pay the entire world back for every shit the world has thrown to him.
Rest in peace Nagato/Pain ☄🌟
2:04 nah cuz if a US president told me that I was ruining the "peace" that their nation has strived for, I would've lost my mind 😂. Why the fuck did Tsunadae tell him all that?
Honestly If Tsunade had just stfu Pain woulda just left to mount myuboku and when he left naruto woulda showed up anyway cuz the messenger got killed. But cuz she opened her mouth Pain if you noticed killed Shizune and calling Pain a terrorist after their village was literally terrorized for years by the leaf was prolly the final straw. "Pain was like bit ch if you want terrorist ill give it to you. " if you notice before that conversation he was just focused on the task but he got in his emotions after the Tsunade said some arrogant shit
2:56 she actually did.
0:30 What about Orochimaru? Did he forget about him?
5:59 …. 😳 #stillgetgoosebumps
