There is a lot of lost history there, outside of these films. I was born a few years before Disneyland and raised nearby, so we basically grew up together. As I recall, Frontierland extended back into the new Star Wars construction with a desert landscape. There was supposed to have been a stagecoach ride which I don't remember, a mining training ride which I kind of remember (remnants could be seen on the northern side of Rivers of America with abandoned tracks and a closed tunnel -- you can see it in this video around 5:00), and a mule ride (with real mules) which I do remember somewhat. Next to the canoe ride (looks like it's still there) was an Indian village where I saw my first demonstration of sand painting.
I thought I’d seen everything about Disneyland. But what a thrilling surprise, bits and pieces from everywhere superbly edited into this wonderfully fresh history lesson. Many thanks to the person or persons who put this together. Very well done. As a typographer i think the typestyle is perfect for your captions. Even those were enlightening-fun facts I had never heard before. Thanks again.
Hank Austin Yes I agree! I was amazed it had so few thinking maybe it was a brand new post - but it was published over three years ago in 2015. Maybe nobody is clicking on it for the same reason I almost didn’t - I thought I’d seen everything about Disneyland. But what a thrilling surprise, bits and pieces from everywhere superbly edited into this wonderfully fresh history lesson.
color tv was very rare back then, when color first started out color tvs were very expensive and hard to get along with (you had to have a repair man come and move them if you wanted them moved and walk gently past them). Most the things in color were commercials and an very few shows
Andrew Phillips That was not part of the telecast. It is one of the captions by the person who edited this compilation. I can easily forgive that typo because everything else is so superbly put together!
This is truly wonderful I wish days like this will come back were people were more humble and respectful
Its not all the way gone, there are You and I and actually millions of us who were not even born then who also have the magic in our hearts "winks"

I was a ride operator in fantasyland in the late 60s.
It is interesting to me just how many things they tried didn't work out for one reason or another.
As of Oct. 2019, 5 humans have Thumb Downed this piece of history. What sad, lonely and rotten humans.
Who's bright idea was it to film a rainbow coloured waterfall, in black and white and actually show it on TV ????
The whole show was in black & white at the time.
