  • Yes I know it says week "117" instead of "116." Just ignore that! I refuse to have to re-upload this lol
I am SO glad to be back! I missed you guys terribly! Hopefully I have managed to keep you updated and in the loop through my other social media, but my ultimate goal is to get back on here full time! The next video that I upload will hopefully help to explain where I have been all this time and what is going on with me and my health. So keep your eyes peeled for that!
Thank you so much to everyone who has been so kind, stuck with me and encouraged me to take care of myself first and foremost! And thank you also for the recent nominations for this year's "WEGO Health Awards;" an online (and in person) award ceremony that seeks to recognize people trying to make a difference in their communities. You are too kind! I feel like I don't deserve that nomination, but I will do everything I can to live up to it! If you would like to check it out or endorse me the link is: awards.wegohea...

OMG ABOUT THE DRY FINGERS!!!! My fingers and hands break and bleed constantly in the winter. It's SO bad. What I do that makes it so so so much better is aquaphor. I put literally globs of it on my hands and wear a cotton glove to sleep and i wake up and it's like 50% better. im not kidding. idk why im so excited about this lol

Hi Christina, glad to see you back on youtube 💚
i have quite bad circulation as well and i get those dry hands too. They eventually end up cracking open and healing very slowly. What i do is lather very concentrated moisturizer or a fat-based ointment on my hands before bed, and then put gloves on to protect my bedsheets 😅. During the day i try to use hand creme as much as possible and use gloves while working :)

You could do monthly vlogs rather than weekly vlogs for the catch up videos - though I don’t know if that’s actually easier in practice! Most importantly, take care of yourself, and all will fall into place in time. Sending the very best to you and yours 🖤

I'm interested to see how the pain thing works. My dad has had several back surgeries and is fused all the way from his neck down and is in constant pain. One of the things that helps take the edge off (nothing rids the pain completely) is he has one of those pain stimulator impacts that disrupts the pain signals. His is implanted with rods, I didn't realize there was electromagnetic options.

Dear, wonderful christina!!!!!!!! While i was able to find some of your posts on facebook it was impossible to tell from them if you were critically ill, had decided that youtube was too exhausting, or just chose to share with a much smaller circle. I have followed you from so far back that i even remember a watercolor (or was it illustration???) video you did when you seemed to be deciding what sort of content to put out there.
WELCOME BACK, to whatever extent is best for you - (I was soooo worried about you....).

So happy you're well enough to post again! I know it's not January anymore, lol, but for cracked hands I've found that any moisturizer with lanolin in it stays on my skin the longest and keeps my skin from cracking. Bloody Knuckles Hand Repair Balm works really great and plus it's fragrance free

Hello beautiful girl, my name is Melody and I actually stumbled upon your page. I have been a nurse for about 14 years now and I just wanted to tell you that I think you have a beautiful soul and spirit that are so full of love and light, and there are so many people without disabilities who are just awful and they just have a huge hole in the soul (what I like to call it) Anyway sweetheart I wanted to give you praise on sharing your life and also educating people. I know you know you are educating people on your disease process but I just wanted to remind you in case you might have forgotten which I don’t think you have, that you are teaching people to be beautiful, teaching people to be strong, to always keep your truth pure and beautiful. I wish you all of the of the love and beauty you can handle 😘

So excited to see a new vlog! I follow you on Instagram, but it's not quite the same as seeing your lovely face in your videos ❤ I don't care if you upload the old footage or not, I just like being able to see what your life is like, and learn more about our shared condition (which my little sister also probably has, so I try to keep up to date with researching so I can catch any symptoms she develops before she ends up as incompasitated as me)
Also, my siblings and I all used to get cracked hands that would bleed, and my mom would coat our hands in coconut oil every night (I don't know if you're allergic to coconut oil, I'm sure you could use another really moisturizing oil instead) or some kind of farmer's salve, I'm pretty sure Burts bees has one...

You have been missed but no pressure to do anything but to live fully! Your a,busy girl and doing it all with lots of equipment and appointments. That you are still filming it all is incredible...and the editing so much back log has to be tedious. Jyst to come on and give some undeited or a live visit without the hassle for you and just ho back and update the other stuff as you feel it is right. Im just very happy to know your hanging in there and that sweet smiles always a great thing to see. But here even through the hard times.

Yes, I was extremely excited when you popped up on my screen! Regarding beyond dry skin to the point of cracking and breaking. I get that with not just my fingertips but my fingernails and cuticles. It’s especially hard for me as I am legally blind and need my fingers to see. The best moisturiser I have found is Burts bees Almond that comes in a tin. Along with that are use as much nail and cuticle care products/oils as possible. But it still happens..I think it’s like an EDS thing - sucks. It really affects my ability to see as I use my hands fingers for things that other people would use their eyes for. So I too will be looking out/listening out in the comments for other people‘s ideas. (I read my computer/iPad/iPhone screen by using voice-over). So good to hear your voice again. 🧚🏼‍♀️🦋🌈🌟💐👍🇦🇺

So glad to see your lovely self through video again! Keep taking care of yourself sweet lady as you have been! You and your health are worth it more that making videos. It's just really encouraging to see you! Great big and gentle hugs my friend!!!! Per your question on the fingertip with cracking or dry... I like you have EDS and Raynaud's and my fingers never crack but on occasions a few of my fingers will get on the dryer side and what I have figured out is that when my fingers touch the velcro on my SI belt or my neck brace is when I start having issues... I don't even have to touch the prickly part of it. It could be mcas ? As I have issues with that also... What I have found that works pretty well for my little fingers is Burts Bees Milk and Honey lotion! And all of you crochet is very pretty!

Yeah I have that issue with skin on my hands and fingers. I get infections easily because I am on immune supressive drugs. I use allot of hand sanitiser which is full of alcohol which seriously dries skin out. People are are not supposed to wash it off, but I realised leaving it on is part of the problem. So now I still use it but wash it off after. When they get so dry they start to crack I copied what I have been told to do when I have super dry heels. Use what ever cream you have and don't react to, each time you wash your hands during the day then at night smother your hands in cream, putting more on the dryer parts, then use what ever sort of disposable gloves you can use. I used to fill the tips of the fingers of the disposable gloves with a bit more cream than every where else, then put the gloves on. Then put a pair of normal gloves over the top and leave them on overnight. or you can use cotton gloves but you do loose allot of cream into the cotton that way. Oh and great to see you back.

Yahoo welcome back you were missed. FOR DRY HANDS/FEED-use organic gentle soap with few ingredients for whole body, test which is best for you. Use organic coldpressed oils like nutiva coconut oil or sky eye quality castor oil. Put on before bed and massage gently into skin it will nutrify and heal skin plus it is antibacterial and antifungal antiviral then wear organic soft cotton gloves and soxes to bed if really despetate try vaseline but it can be harsh. Use again after washing hands, just make sure it sinks in skin as much as possible before covering. Thes oils are safe for the whole body including around eyes, i struggle with dryness everywhere. Also make sure your omega oils you orally take are balanced too like flaxseed oil, some can use cod liver oil too. Check out family focused counselors so they respect your beliefs and relationships, focus on the family can help with lists on that, we have used them for many various family members quite successfully. Glad you have been filming and dont apologize. Continued prayers and blessings.😀For gi healing coconut oil and or chicken broth organically can help, must be used daily in small amounts throughout the day until you can tolerate more. Probiotics can change for many reasons to adjust the flora and sometimes getting it more naturally can help through food. Prayers to your journey and glad you're getting answers. For that burning back pain takes a lot of core strength in small amounts all day, it takes tons of time. Find a small soft ball and ask pt to teach what ball games to use to help hands, arms and body, you have to start really small like for a baby and it helps with posture and the eyes too. I now play ball with my dog standing and when bad I resort back to sitting. My vision has improved and i can now tolerate more greens. We do it for several times a day for times I can stand, it has helped with my pots too. Don't go e up and keep moving forward. Not sure you know but Chronically Jaquie had passed in May. God bless you and yours, try little videos if you the long ones are too much, glad your back.

Yay! Christina is back on UA-cam! =)
On a more serious note... you might have fewer issues with your hands in the winter if you wear a good, warm winter coat AND good, warm FULL-fingered gloves that cover your ENTIRE hand. _(I have sensory processing disorder, and my legs can go numb if the temperature drops below a certain point and I'm not wearing tights under my pants... every little bit helps... I look absolutely ridiculous in the winter BUT atleast I can get to and from my car without losing sensation in the skin on my legs.)_

I love what you said about taking off your braces as soon as you get home. I don’t have any braces, but I totally do that with my bra! I walk in the house and boom that baby is gone.

    Hi Christina,
Haven't watched the whole video yet but just want to jump in with a tip or some insight into the cracking painful fingers that u get I winter.
I have experienced this for years and have found the cause to be cold temperatures but also certain types of soap and washing up liquid will cause it for me so.
    1. use organic soap
    2. never ever use washing up liquid unless you are wearing rubber gloves
    3. Not so hygienic but try to reduce hand washing.
Then no 4 is how I prevent it these cracks in fingers from bleeding and becoming painful and that is simply as soon as you start to notice dry skin on your fingers apply some Vaseline and then cover it up with a waterproof plaster and keep covered untill it's healed back to normal skin again.
Doing this will prevent them from reaching the bleeding cracking stage.
    Main thing is though ..
Avoid washing up liquid like the plague as it strips the oils out of your skin.
So, I have a question for you..
What brand of collar is that?
    I need that!!
Bought a vista and there's just too much movement and play in it I need a better neck collar so if you have some advice or can tell me the brand you are using in this vid please let me know if u have the time x

Oh.. actually also o forgot that when my hands are really bad I wash them using a cream called Emulsifying ointment BP instead of soap.
Not sure if u can by it in the states but maybe and if not perhaps there's something similar.

Ok kept watching and yes the alcohol wipes will also strip the oil from yoir skin.
Maybe wear latex gloves when you are using alcohol wipes.
I've put moisturiser on and slept with latex gloves on in the past, that works too 😉🙂
