    I am LIVING for the “weird” spoonie products!! Your review of the little neck brace convinced me to give it a try and it has helped me out. I personally don’t use a nebulizer everyday; but I can totally see how this product can be much more convenient, and certainly a lot more quiet!

    What a fabulously thorough yet entertaining review, Christina! You tipped the scales on my decision, and I just now ordered a Flyp. I am looking forward to the super-quiet operation. I also had no idea that "faster" was even an option--BONUS! Great tip on the eye dropper on Amazon--bought one of those too! I actually initially cringed at first when I saw your video was 28:16, but you perfectly jam-packed it with all the important stuff--watch it all the way to the end--so worth it! Rock on Christina, rock on! Blessing to you!

    Thank you for such an in depth review! I'm so tired of being tied to my nebulizer, and missing 3 of my 4 treatments in a day because of the inconvenience of the plug-in nebulizer! I saw this, and your review has really helped me decide to go ahead and buy the flyp. My question though, I understand you have distilled water to clean the reservoir, however, how do you clean the mouthpiece while in the car? Thank you again! I wonder if your code still works?

    So proud of you with your key notes on reading all the instructions and care, sterilisation and cleaning instructions.
    Does it give you indication of battery life or number of uses based on a single charge? (I mean stated anywhere, rather than just u experimenting) xx
    Would love to know how you feel about the LED light in terms of your vision and headaches.... Was it irritating at full charge light intensity?

    • @christinadoherty3212

      Thank you! I wanted to make sure to cover all the points that I want to know when making a purchase.... especially an expensive one! The light flashes while you charge it and goes solid and then off when its charged. Unfortunately that is it. It doesn’t warn you when It gets low, so I usually just plus it in at night when I plug my phone in. The blue light really wasn’t an issue. It’s pretty much below eye level when in use and well... it makes it look kinda futuristic which I kinda love 😂

    I'm working on my doctorate in nursing, and I LOVE your videos on "spoonie" products. I'm so happy to hear realistic reviews on really practical, helpful products for people with chronic illnesses/pain. :) By the way, even if I didn't have an interest in healthcare, I would watch your vlogs. Your personality and interests (crafting/reading/broadway) are so engaging; plus, seeing the way your family loves each other makes my heart all warm and fuzzy!!!! Sending prayers and love from Florida, girl!

    Bought the Flyp and it's so convenient for travel. The big pluses were how quiet it is and how fast it administered the medicine. No tubes to have to deal with...I love it. But, I'm still keeping my old big nebulizer for home...simply because I feel it gets the medicine to your lungs better. Thank you for the review.

    We had a travel sized nebulizer about 10 years ago, and it did the trick more often than not. It would leak if you didn't hold it totally upright (reservoir was at the top of the machine). I still think the full machines do a better job, but the small devices are very handy for times when you can't get regular electricity easily. The full machines are a lot smaller than they used to be so that's handy too.

    Just got a Flyp about 3 weeks ago because I have to take DuoNeb 4x per day... so annoying. Flyp is ok. There are some annoying aspects. Sometimes you have to flick the back so that the condensation goes away so that it has a steady stream of medication flowing again. The battery doesn't last as long as they say and it's annoying to clean. A huge plus is how light and small it is. I can easily fit it in my (small) purse with a couple vials of meds and be ready to go. Honestly, I prefer my clunky nebulizer that delivers slower and so does my pulmonologist. But with the 8 nebs I have to do per day, the minutes really add up! Netflix is a life-saver, I can tell you that.

    • @misscole82
      @misscole82 5 років тому

      If you take duo nebs that Much have you tried spiriva?

    • @mackgdr
      @mackgdr 5 років тому +1

      I think that's the next step my pulmonologist wants to take to get me back on inhalers rather than nebs. I normally take inhalers and nebs as needed but I caught an infection a few months ago that I haven't been able to recover from. Hopefully I will be weaning off nebs soon so I can have my life back lol.

    • @misscole82
      @misscole82 5 років тому

      @@mackgdr spiriva has been as good a duo nebs for me. I have portable nebulizer. Fits in a lunch box. Can still do abuterol nebs with spiriva.

    • @mackgdr
      @mackgdr 5 років тому +1

      Yeah, that's what I was hoping. Get on an inhaler (or two) and then just use portable albuterol nebs as needed. I really prefer albuterol nebulized, as opposed to from an inhaler, so it'll be nice to have the Flyp to use for that when all of this is over.

    These travel type nebulisers do seem to be a lot cheaper in the UK.....the lloyds pharmacy one looks kind of like this but includes the mouth piece this has, an adult face mask and a kids face mask included and is £110 -_- America seems to make all medical equipment too expensive.

    What is the difference between a nebulizer and an inhaler

    • @isabellagrace7914
      @isabellagrace7914 5 років тому +1

      It depends on the medicine you put in the nebulizer. An inhaler is usually albuterol for asthma attacks so it is quick acting. I use my nebulizer for different medicine for allergy prevention or albuterol that just keeps me from having an asthma attack.

    Awesome review, thank you! Girl, I can’t believe your main unit takes 15 minutes to give you the full dose of Cromolyn! Yikes! It might be time to have insurance replace yours. And no, insurance does NOT pay for portable nebs. My portable Pari only gives me 3 treatments when it states it goes for an hour per charge. (Which means mine is dieing within 10 minutes.). Not a good one I must say. I’m going to look into the Flyp! :)

      I found I could actually hold it in my mouth without my arms if need be, but that wasn’t the best jaw move. Sometimes I bend my knee up (thanks EDS) and rest it on my knee as my arms do get a bit tired, but it’s only 5 mins or so and resting them on a good pillow helps.

    Great product. Absolutely retarded price. I'm sorry, but that's just greedy. I was going to say if the charge allowing just two treatments is a problem, you could get a second one to have on hand (if they hold the charge well enough) but NEVERMIND. I THINK $200 is a huge rip off. It's infuriating. Yeah, portability is nice, but not that nice. You know there are adapters to use a normal electrical device in the car via cigarette lighter port or usb. Glad you got a free Flyp, though, Christina, 😎 'cause it has made your life easier and not cost you an arm and a lung. I'd say they better get off their high horse and bring down the price, b/c I know insurance companies won't pay for it.
