I love that they actually gave good, rewarding items for the treasure maps. And speaking of the items in general, they went above and beyond with diversity. I am so freaking sad we may not see another game like this in ten years

One other fun aspect of Stun is that if enemies are also poisoned or burned theyll take status damage during the turn theyre incapacitated.
I like the auto-hit aspect.
I used the Master's Gauntlets on Travis, since he has the evade skill. This skill would combo trigger after the evade skill goes off, which goes along with the Passive Steal ability to regain PP.
Using the thunder tome with Yunifi is an interesting setup. That would be handy for taking out enemies 1 at a time, provided you setup most of your unit to attack non-frozen targets. After the freeze, 1 unit member hits an enemy to unfreeze and the rest of the group checks to see which enemy is not frozen and continues the attack.
Another combo setup could be for Rosalinde, but this is late game. You'd use her rage of fairies to get 1 faerie, then boost her initiative to start first. She'd trigger Primus Edge to get a 2nd faerie, then chain trigger elemental impetus to get a 3rd faerie. You then use the cat hood from another member so she uses elemental roar right away. There is also that 1 item in the coliseum that allows you to act without spending AP. could utilize that to let Rosalinde trigger 2 elemental roar attacks.

The interaction that "broke the game" for me was simply combining stun with burn. So many different ways to apply it but the loop of enemy units having to spend AP to clear the stun while also taking damage is extremely effective.
Stun doesn't take AP. It forces a skip while causing burn/poison damage to trigger. That's all.
@@mghegotagun Right, could have worded that better, they don't lose the AP but they have to spend a turn clearing it
Watching all these videos has me believe I should probably delete my teams and start over
I remember watching Purplatypus for DQT. Just bought this game, and Im glad my algorithm back here.
My top 5 fave combos:
1. Shining wind (featherbow) + restore (wereowl) + master's gauntlets + board nuke (i prefer eltolinde's elemental roar) + sniper amber lens + gambler's coin.
2. gryphon masters (celeste, fran) + wyvern belts + wingline standard + mage with frostbrand tome (i prefer elven fencers) + dirty gambler's coin
3. sniper amber lens + mystic conferral/offensive order/bestral howl + gambler's coin + board nuke (rosalinde, yunifi, hilda with dragoon spear, etc)
4. scarlett frontline (passive miracle) + fodoquia (sacrifice or paniplied shield)
5. any form of healing + selfless heal (elven archers)
There are not many entire team heals, so having an elven archer for chain heals is so nutty. Just have 1 person with like first aid, and end of fight the entire teams is back to 100% as long as they can survive the round.
@@jakeryan2805 yup. Elven archers render healing assist leads pointless. Doesnt have to be 1st aid. Any healing is fine, dependent on which resource, AP or PP, a class is more likely to have in excess at the end of the battle. Personally, i like the heals that can be used before the end of the battle so you have an option to heal mid-fight, like a sainted knight's row heal.
I like using fodoqua as an infinite energy producer with his original kit and druid robes. I'd not figured it out but I know it can happen lol. Just gotta quit him from doing that pp conversion with his last AP so he can do nothing else :/.
Love the first aid to even archer trick. Simple trick to ensure your team always ends with full health.
@@jakeryan2805yep Chloe has first aid built in and pairs with ridiel well, just make sure they don't spend all their pp by using the pp >1 tag on their gambits.
@@pdraggy theres alot of potential in using fodoquia's sacrifice as a PP generator. More reliable than those active skills that give PP like legionnaire's great shield or sainted knight's hache. Can be used with lapis bell if you want to turn fodoquia into a PP battery.

Werelion with master gauntlet and sniper amber lens for hulk grandsmash is one of team that I made after seeing some yt video, pair it with shaman with outbound, a featherbow for extra blind and flier killer, an owl for extra pp to activate master gauntlet and a fearherstaff for healing and survivability
Not a broken team buat a fun team to made
That might be my video as I did one for that build a few days ago but I wouldn't be surprised if more people also found thst interaction.

I use Nimble Fighter on Gilbert, complete with the Shaman Sandstorm trick and 2 PP saved for Charged Impetus (edit: and Lucky Coin backup from healer). Those CrItS ThO.

I'm just about finished with the game on expert, how much of a cheese or necessity are using combos like these on TZ mode?
If you hadn't started TZ yet, it's not seemingly necessary. I've used none of these combos, and am pushing through Bastorias currently. If you've got enough knowledge to build strong, purposeful squads, can tune them well, and have the presence to always be aware of who is in what kind of danger (and are proactive in keeping them safe), you should do just fine.

That translation error on master gauntlet is major… make feather bow and blind much more valuable…
I don't see how it's a translation error though, when an attack misses you are evading the attack. But also when I saw this combo I was like I gotta remember that for when I get home and play my game again!
@@RinOverdrive eavde and miss is technically two different things in this game. miss never came into the picture when I read the description for a skill call "nimble fighter". lol. it should have said something like "when enemies' attack miss or evaded". evade enemy attack takes a lot of risk, since a guaranteed evade can be hit by TRUE hit. so the ability would have been not as practical. but Blindness overwrite TRUE hit or magic attack, so your unit will survive 100%... blind 5 enemies, charge attack, let the enemies miss & buff your unit 5 times, release that charge attack.
I just built a team with 2 charge attacker (in the back row), shaman blind + featherbow blind. this discovery is pretty valuable. now I am going to put the charge attacker at the front row. lol
Seeing you post having 2 charge attackers made me think hmmmmm what if I had 1 charge attacker to clear the board and use the charge healing spell to keep the squad healed up from assist chip or what not
Please make a combination of poison and deathpillar (lance) please, auto deathblow column in one strike😂

Creativity of combination and gambit that you use is one of things that make this game fun and different from other tactic game
Amalia team looks really good but she's just too slow to start ramping up.. Before she could use 1 ap she already below 50%
My brother in Christ, you need to actually use Leaping Slash for the combo to work.
Which is why I - once again - put it on my Swordmaster. It would be neat to be able to use Omega SHATTER * with the combo, but alas. I mean sure, you can throw in X 2 AP ability once in a while - like maybe Meteor Slashes once you hit 3AP+, but other than that you need to keep using Leaping Slash to keep debuffing yourself, you feel me?
When do I say you don't need to use leaping slash to get ap?
All I say is when at 4ap to use a 2 ap attack so you don't lose ap since you gain ap when you attack.
You just have to set the condition on Omega or whatever to activate at 3 AP.
@@purplatypus7405 You don't say "leaping slash isn't needed to get the effect of leaping slash" but the video didn't mention Omega Shatter to go off at a certain AP amount. It just says to use Omega Shatter (or another 2 AP ability) so that when you're at 3 AP you get 2 AP - as one is wasted.
In any case, I'm trying to be constructive, which is why I mentioned setting Omega Shatter to go off at a certain AP amount.
