I can never decide if I want a wired headset or a wireless one. I love being able to move around and do things without having to take my headphones off because the wire is too short but the sound difference is definitely there. What would be your go to wireless headphone for gaming? Wired I’m assuming you’re going with one of these over the corsair virtuoso right? I might try both options and go from there
I have the old mmx300 and they are really really good. The sound is however very coloured. So if you like neutral sound these are not for you. The only problem with them is that the volum controller on the cable doesn't do a great job and keeps breaking, messing up the right/left balance. Changed the cable 3 times now and after some use it stops working every time.
I had the 300 and it was truly WAY better than anything I've had before and way better than my previous beyerdynamic. But the clamping force was too much for me and I tried to put it over books for a long time, but it only helped a little. So I had to return them. Also, most of you do NOT want an open-back headset, outside noise will be VERY noticeable... cars driving outside your window, someone in your house vacuuming, your PC fan noise... lots of factors will make you hear less ingame and just more of the outside noise.
Got mmx 330 pro last week from an amazon pallet warehouse For 120 dollars usd. Sealed in the box. Amazing steal The headset does need after market ear muffs tho. Stock muffs are way way too shallow. My ear would push too hard into the cans
Regarding the bit of the headband you say needs some work: It probably does not. Apologies if I am coming across a bit blunt or rude, I do not mean to. However I want to make it obvious that regardless of how you may feel about it, it's been Beyerdynamic's tried and true system for literal decades. It does not need work or improvement: It has worked flawlessly for many, many years because it is well designed and made to last. Doesn't mean every now and then some will have some sort of small defect. In which case, I am absolutely sure Beyerdynamic will gladly replace it. I have been a costumer of theirs for a long time and have not one single bad thing to say about them, having owned and still owning many of their headphones.
Fiio ft3 open and base and sub base £280, sound 1000 and fully metal build and 60 mm drivers. Headphone tho not set destroys hd560s h6pros.. scalable in 350 and 32ohm greatest thing I ever put in my head
No and nobody should use IEMs for gaming, it will hurt your hearing over many many years of usage, horrible idea. Just because things don't affect you in your youngers years, you gotta be able to think forward to when you are old.

Wired is usually (though not always) worth the sound quality.
Wired also has a fairly large latency advantage too. If you are gaming you don't want there to be delay on audio cues.

Would’ve been very fitting if you did a direct comparison between the MMX 300 vs Audeze Maxwell and MMX 330 vs PC38X in terms of sound and mic alone

Soundstage doesn't help you pinpoint the location of sounds, that would be imaging. Soundstage is simply the size of the sound and how spacious it is.
I play mainly FPS that came from Astro A40s, to BD DT990 pro to MMX 330 Pro and wow day and night difference even vs DT 900 Pro X imai tried
