This mile a minute.. a scarf with hood and pockets (my personal stitch, i call it TERRI stitch) , a body quillo (quilt and pillow in one) in Terri stitch and a Seattle Seahawks blanket by using the colors of their shirt jersey as the section for the blanket.. yes I am waiting for OCT section for the mile-a-minute blanket you are sharing. Since the nation is banning plastic bags at stores after this friday..I'm looking for a bag pattern, I think I found one but I'll use my Terri stitch to make them. I'm 62 y.o if you are wondering. I'm retired, homemaker to have all this time to crochet. :-)

    With how much the pattern goes prettier every new month my guess is that the December strip will be the prettiest of them all. Thank you so much for making my September so much more crafty, especially with figuring which colors I should use since it requires the double amount of yarn for the main part. Will any of the remaining patters require the regular 80 to 90 yards of yarn or less?

    • @JaydaInStitches
      @JaydaInStitches  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Jane! If you're planning out yarn for the rest of the blanket, the remaining 3 strips will each use around 200 y or less (for the main pattern) and the borders will all be the same. Having said that, we'll be adding a border (colours are up to you of course!) so you'll want to have some yarn set aside for that too 😊

    I felt like the odd-open row worked faster because I didn't have to figure out what stitch the last DC went into. I was a bit surprised by that. Lol.
    Granted I was just happy that this was a much "calmer" pattern than August. I changed up your August stitch so that I didn't have the "bar" between petals five and six ... Which meant a little more attention was needed for me to get my two blanket strips done. But THIS strip just flew off my hook!!! Yay!! Thank you!

I find it hard for me to let go of something new I do, but you can't keep everything. Enjoy watching your show, and have made several items. im considering doing this in multi colors for a baby blanket. i am using the dollar tree premier chenille yarn. I think the 1st row was a bit easier for me. I really pushed myself to complete this month's strip early as I finished August's row early last Friday. This is my first blanket. I don't have the temperament for large projects. I felt a bit motivated as only 1 strip was uploaded per month, else I never would have attempted it. How do you keep focused and enthusiastic while working on large projects? Thank you

    • @JaydaInStitches
      @JaydaInStitches  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Sarah! I usually only tackle large projects if I have a purpose for it, for example, I'm making it as a gift. Gifts generally have deadlines (which I find motivating) and also I typically only make things as gifts for people I like and who I know would really appreciate it. So knowing that keeps me motivated too!

    Question have you done and hexagon like you are doing the mmam blanket.? As far as crocheting together as you go? If so, what is the link?
    You get me hooked on wanting to crochet all your patterns. My hubby says I need to finish what I've got started before starting another project, lol. I like to quilt(machine and hand), crochet, embroidery, trying to learn knitting. Should've gotten grandmother to show me knitting too. I learned crochet from her. Thank you very much, I enjoy your videos,tutorials, 💜💙💚💛🧡❤🤎🖤🤍💝💞

      Hi Diane, yes! The stripe on it's own for sure, the stitch pattern also, but I haven't worked out an extended version of it yet :)

    I thought the even rows were the fastest. I had to stop and think more with the odd rows. "singles and doubles and chains Oh My"

    • @lorihayes507

      but even with the odd rows this whole strip went pretty fast. which is great because I am making 4 of them for christmas this year.

    • @JaydaInStitches
      @JaydaInStitches  3 роки тому

      Hi Gloria, the openwork row is an odd row (row 1, row 3, row 5 etc) and the solid dc row is an even row (row 2, row 4, row 6) etc. We don't count the foundation chains as a row. I hope that helps!
