rod broke on its own he gaffed the line he didn't break rod lol
Correct, everything in real time happened so fast, we weren’t staring at the rod time. Only until after we watched the video we realized what happened. That’s why we put slow motion in the video so everyone could see what happened. The reaction was pretty funny. So we left it all in there. We figured everyone would be able to see the rod snapped on its own when it was loaded up.

I like the additional information on the video....time to land, number of fish this year. Consider the line length (ex: 850 ft) and boat speed. It might be a bit much, but it would be cool to see. Good job fellas.

Thanks man!! We bought a standard rod holder that is meant to bolt down to your gunnel and we had brackets built that allow us to bolt the rod holder to the bracket that’s the same height as our railing

ddo you have a link for the rod holder you are using to play the fish?
The rod holder we are using is an Atwood 15 degree rod holder. We built custom mounts for it so it can sit up on the rail.
How far back are you running your madmacs?. Have you tried any deep divers? Asking from Santa Cruz.
On this day about 1000ft. We tried the deep river in this video, but we don’t have the setup right we had a hard time keeping it down
Do you guys fish commercially as well? Selling your BFT?
No, we don’t have our commercial license. It’s pretty expensive to run that and then we can sport fish off the vessel so we haven’t done it. It would be nice though with all the bluefin around.
What brand and model rods do you use for the BFT trolling?
We are using Okuma SLX reels 50w and Gomexus 50w. For the rods we are using Penn Carnage III 80-150lb rods. If you check the description of the video we have links to the rods and reels.
