Thanks!! I would check out the temp brake map. Its not been updated in a week, hopefully it gets updated. Look for where the stare changes from 58-60. Would fish in waters from 60-63 degrees. Any hard temp breaks are good places to start.
Wow, these were all really big. "Only 13" but the weight was probably 180-200 lbs total. What a great day. I had no idea marlin could be found way up here.
Thanks man! It was a blast we have been itching to chase some albacore. We are just waiting on the right weather to be able to make a trip out there! Thanks for watching our video 🎣🎣🎣
We try to make a reverse "V" shape towards the boat. The farthest rod down the center, then the next rods would be a little closer, the closest rods are right off the side of the boat in very close to the prop wash. Our distances vary, we do it by eye really. Albacore come and eat in the prop wash. If I had to guess I would say the closest rods are 40-50ft. and the farthest rods are 200-300ft maybe?
Got it. You guys did a great job and had a day any angler would give their left nut to experience. A rod with plenty of flex on the tip end and stiff as a mop handle below that, would give you a tremendous advantage. Keep up the great work. Loved the vid. Thx.
Thanks John! 👍 We sure have been lucky with the great fishery we have up here right now. We had some gear failures and we were limited with what we had that day. Since this trip we have accumulated much more gear so we are better equipped when the albacore come back around here.
@@DDFishingCo Do u eat the belly or the collars? Season w/ salt, grill or oven roasted. Its a delicacy. Was on a 1½ day party boat out of San Diego.. On the return trip they served us dinner w/ choice of steak or fresh caught albacore belly. Try a little lemon & shoy sauce as a dipping sauce, a cheap homemade version of ponzu sauce. Get real adventurous...add grated ginger to that sauce. & don't 4get the steamed rice! Now u b eatin Japanese style. Oi. 🎣 🍣🥢🍚

Thanks Bruce, at this time we aren’t offering guiding but we are looking into it. We may offer something later this season.
Why use such whippy rods?
We used what we had 😂 gotta do what you gotta do
