- What started off as a simple invitation turned into a trip of a lifetime! My friend Bill invited Reece and myself on a North Carolina BFT fishing trip to target BFT on top water lures using spinning tackle. With 3 fishing days booked and one already cancelled due to unpredictable bad weather, we had limited time to locate, hook and land one of the Atlantic's living dinosaurs!!

Nice video, we catch a lot of bluefin tuna here in Croatia on spininng rods, we dont hawe to much fish ower 100 kilo but we can hawe up to 5-6 fish per day in range of 50-60 kilo (you can see some of them on my chanel)....that is REEEEEAALLY great fun. I'm glad to see that more people are doing it this way....keep up the good job!!

Great video man! What rod/line/lure/reel was being used? Looked like a custom rod with 18k Stella and a Strategic Angler Espada with shout kudako hooks (could only see the tail hook)

Hi, its not a BH the jigging set up was on a Phoenix titan. Very nice rod but never got to put it to the test.
At 14:00 he was charging the boat more then half the time they swallow the hook

You think the stella 14k the new model can hold a good size fish ?
It most certainly has the capability to do so. It's too small for targeting fish the size seen in this video but a great reel for fish in the 80-200lb class. It could handle bigger under the right circumstances but your leaning more to being under gunned with those larger class fish. That's my opinion.
