I hate the attitude most of these 'professional' barbers have. As if they were performing life changing surgeries every day. You are just cutting hair dude. And in this case I agree, it looked better before.
I’ve been to quite a few beard specialist barbers who have taken their time with my beard doing all kinds of fancy stuff. My current barber takes about 3 minutes goes straight at it and my long beard results are the best and sharpest I’ve ever seen. All for £4 The guy is amazing.
We all should be able to learn a few things from this video, don't trim your beard too often, over trimming in areas where your beard is thin makes your beard look even thinner, and lastly avoid the cookie cutter look at all costs. Unless you're going for the "douche hipster look"
Can anyone recommend a beard barber in Mississauga/Oakville (Canada) like this guy? I like that he tries to stick to the natural hair growth. I've gone to two places that have screwed my beard already.
Lookin good brother. I wanna get a trim but I have horrible problems sitting still in a barber chair. So bad I started just buzzing my head to avoid the anxiety. I literally shake these days in a chair. It’s pathetic and annoying. Not sure what caused it but I wish I could go back and figure it out and change it. I used to love just getting my hair cut. Maybe some day.
he didnt do something right underneath. looks thinner now. the rest looks great. a groomed beard is the best beard, beard on bro. grow that bottom back out
Nice beard. The barber commits a cardinal sin by bringing the cord of the clippers in front of the client and over his head........always behind. Never in front.
I think it looked way better before I dont know what he did wrong maybe you should of let it grow a few more inches then trimmed. It seemed awfully short after he was done.
Sometimes a shorter trim can actually help beard growth. Also for videos like this we like to give a full spectrum point of view of most trims so while Spencer may not have wanted it this short personally, he took one for the team to show a different look. 💪🏻
Hello Spencer, there are so many names for different beard styles and wondered what is the name of your beard style??? Because I am thinking that your style of beard may be the one for me. Regarding the beard trim, the barber reduced an amazing beard into what looked like a beginners beard, for me it was too thin and light for me. Sorry Buddy....
Your beard is awesome, but I'm not sure about that trim. Might of been the light but it looks thinner now. Looking forward to seeing it in another video under different light.
I agree it did look more full and better before the trim. But there are sometimes a trim is good and healthy. A maintenance trim to get the slit ends is good and the beard will be healthier.
Like the square shape your barber enhanced. Not to be an ass, but the packaging on your products look cheap. Just an average guy’s observation. I wish you great success. Love entrepreneurs.
@@Grimmjow19872 I think he she meant the EDGES of the beard hair to not be cut so perfectly straight and dramatic... a bit more natural or even left alone.
Trimming the bottom part of the beard, on a normal chair NEVER works. as the blade/machine tends to get high up on the bottom part of the neck, giving it a thinner look as there is less bulk behind it. Besides that good job. Get a reclining chair or a chair there the barber doesn't need to crouch to reach the beard.
Sad to say but he didn’t cut your beard well :/ I think he was a little aggressive with his trimmer passes and thinned you out. Thank god you have Density
From what I can see the trim itself wasn't that bad. I think we all judge beard trim videos harshly because we cringe at ANY trimming of our beards because we grow really attached to the current look/shape/density. The mistake for me was at the end when he applied the butter and pulled Spencer's beard down and out. Never pull hairs down and out especially with a holding product like butter or balm. This puts the hairs in an unnatural position and gives you that thin, wispy look that you see in this video. I'm sure it looked fantastic once again after Spencer showered and styled it himself. Absolutely love these videos as his beard is exactly like mine only a few more months of growth. Hope this helps!
Johnfuse I never trim my beard, & I’m about to hit 6 months of growth, & it’s thick as fuck. Doesn’t look thin what so ever. You can definitely rock a beard, with no trimming, & still keep it looking neat.
He’s cut the density and bulk out of the beard, a beard that size should be cut level not angled so aggressively. This barbers ego surpasses his skill
😬
This video serves as an example that not all barbers can just be blindly trusted.
Thank you for your sacrifice, Spencer.
I'm my own barber 😊
The look on his eyes when the density of his beard shriveled before his eyes.
Nah no good, better before. Lotta barbers ruin beards.
100% bro. Thinned it out way too much.
It was sooo nice and full before... then transparent by the time he was done.
Your beards a beautiful thing.. id stear clear of this dude again
I was thinking the same, by the time the beard was done, it was very transparent, the barber took too much in the down side, and lost body.
I hate the attitude most of these 'professional' barbers have. As if they were performing life changing surgeries every day.
You are just cutting hair dude. And in this case I agree, it looked better before.
He definitely made the beard look much thinner on the bottom after that hack job of a trim.
I would never put the responsibility of trimming my beard in the hands of another person.
It's weird seeing a barber doing the trimming since I'm so used to seeing mr grateful do his own trimming in videos 😮
yea that's definitely a rare sight!
I could be wrong but I don't think he was happy with this beard trim🤔
Yeah, catch it in Spencer's eyes the moment he looks in the mirror at 6:22.

This barber moves super fast when he isn’t talking
That is the truth!! Would you rather see a video that the barber explains what he is doing and why? Or just a quick trim. We love the feedback!
The bottom of your beard looked much more thicker before it got trimmed... He just killed your beard by trimming too much.
Nahhh it looked a 1000 times better before. That barber ruined your beard

We have some AWESOME tips and tricks videos for self trimming! Check them out!
I think the white t-shirt makes the beard look thinner, that's partly why at the start it looks fuller
nice video, would be good to see a video on a state trim by Spencer himself, explaining how to get the handlebar
We have a few videos like that, brother! Check out our Stache Master Play list!! Its pretty good!
Id be more nervous of those fingernails cutting me than that straight edge... yeesh
Great hair style with awesome beard. What else do you want brah? You are blessed brother. Amen.
Thanks Brother! That means a lot!
Excellent work. I am a barber myself and I am always learning something new everyday! Definitely wanna get my beard trimmed by this guy.
Ooof !! 12 years ?? Nah … his skills says different
he didnt do something right underneath. looks thinner now. the rest looks great. a groomed beard is the best beard, beard on bro. grow that bottom back out
Thanks brother!
That’s what I’m talking about! Thank you for posting these videos! Please keep them coming👍🏼 #livebearded
Of course , Brother!!

Nice trim, did you drive home in your electric car, and throw on some Taylor Swift and crack open a Bud Light 😂
Hi Spencer, Do you live in Arizona or were you just here visiting? I live in the East Valley myself.
Hey Brother! We are located in Arcadia! at least the HQ is!

More to come brother!!

Dude! Have you coloured you moustache or it's natural?
All Natural
Don't need it trimmed it looked way better before

Yes & no depends
if you keep a really long beard tidy with good care you can avoid split ends
"you should never trim a beard" yassss brother 🤜💥🤛

I thought the barber did a fine job. I don't understand all of the mean comments.

Hey Brother!
The butter is double walled to help keep it fresh! I would totally recommend to try some! You won't be disappointed!
Awesome job 👍
leave natural borders ... natural!
what do you mean by that?

Bad ass beard trim brother btw love your products there the best in the market

I dont think that was the best beard trim at all

Looks good but I wouldn't call it a dramatic beard trim.
BAD BARBER, BAD TRIMMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looking smooth there Spencer!! Beard game is strong 💪
Thanks brother!
Live Bearded hell yes brother!!! Woohoo!!!
Looked like he was sculpting the air LLS. I would never let him touch my beard it look way better before the trim imo
the worst cut I've seen
I wonder if my friends in the BDSM community know about these vids. The leather bears would go nuts watching them.
Go to the barber in Biltmore
Sorry, but look so much healthier and natural before the cut.
No reason to be sorry bro. We appreciate all feedback!
That is one good beard destroyed.
Not destroyed, just temporarily changed and the beautiful thing is, it will always grow back!
@@livebearded You are gracious
What's the best way to find a barber good at beard trims? They don't really advertise.
Hey Brother! Hit us up at support@livebearded.com and we can get you some info!
Looked better before the trim He took way too much off. Fortunately he didn't touch the 'stache
Where is your barber from? Nice place.
Tempe Arizona!
Look like he is from Puerto Rico. Thank you for your response. Saludos.
Looks good!
Beard is to groomed let it grow wild man itll look better
Thanks brother!! I appreciate your comments!
I agree do not ever cut or trim a beard
@Johnfuse I agree 100%!!
@Johnfuse
I never said not to look after a beard
You can have a long natural beard that's well kept & tidy that's never been trimmed

Y he use a plastic comb on ur beard tho
There are some really good high quality plastic combs out there. Kent is a great brand with very good quality and results.
@@livebearded Kent combs are saw cut anti static cellulose acetate, a top notch comb, but his looks like it was from a dollar tree.
Yeah he got butchered
Get rid of that handlebar
Dana Burick shut up
I am kind of partial to the handlebar! Beard on Brother!
Some people can't handle the handlebar.
Grow them long, grow them strong!
What does this guy know the tash is awesome 😎
That handlebar is beautiful. Doesn't look overly styled and the caramel color contrasts against his darker beard.
Number 300!
